I still think people are too easily offended. The entire point of a show like this is to see what these people are really like. Unfortunately, there are a lot of people that share Aaryn's views. Racism is alive and well in this world. Glad they're showing it to be honest but disappointed they won't show it on the actual show. I actually think Kaitlyn and Jeremy are worse than her to be honest.
I agree with this but I would say the people in the house aren't so much racist as they are incredibly ignorant. I don't get the feeling they hate minorities just that they believe the stereotypes about them, which might actually be worst. And Jeremy is definitely the worst and what's weird is if he wasn't so aggressive he would be in the best position out of anyone.

Sure people are racist and ignorant, but it shouldn't e glorified on tv. It is different if there are conversations about race, sexuality, and sexism, but they are using it to support their hatred. It's disgusting and has no place on tv. They will not show it because it would mean CBS supports racism.

They're showing people as who they are. No one needs to be sheltered from this. This is "real". People are ignorant, racist, sexist, etc. That's life. Showing it doesn't mean one supports it--that's an absurd statement. Absolutely ridiculous. They should show everyone exactly what transpires instead of creating "roles" for people. Hell, if they showed these things on TV it would be a great teaching opportunity for parents that have children. Jeremy, Kaitlyn & Aaryn can only learn from this. Honestly, the reaction to this can actually help them understand how ignorant they are. They probably have no idea--especially Kaitlyn. This is about upbringing. I think "America" loves to pretend to be outraged by things that truly have no impact on their life. They feel if they don't take a stand against something people will assume their racist/sexist/etc. My wife is half-black and her best friend is black...neither are even slightly bothered by this. They're comfortable with who they are and have long accepted this is the attitude some have. That will never change. I just can't believe anyone believes this is "supporting" it. My God And Aaryn was punished--she lost her job. CBS has no action to take...the can't kick someone off for being "racist". It has nothing to do with the game. This isn't "let the best person win".
Helen and Elissa are nominated...MVP nom hasn't happened yet. Sounds like Elissa is going to put up Jeremy if she wins it--which is great in theory but won't work due to the Moving Company alliance.
It's a great move if Elissa is able to win POV because then the replacement nominee will be Amanda, and McCrae has to pick what side he is on.
Sounds like it would be Candice unless I missed something--which is possible. Though if McCrae sells out Amanda it will be Amanda. Hell, if Helen & Jeremy are up then Jeremy way be willing to sacrifice Nick to save his life.

And for all his faults I think Jeremy is loyal to the "MC" no matter what, even though it's pretty much assured he will be the first one they turn on.
Thanks to a Diary leak looks like Elissa is MVP again, not a big surprise.
I'm glad your wife is okay with it, but a majority of viewers are not.
We don't have to agree on anything but comments like this is utterly untrue. "A majority of viewers" couldn't care less...it is an outspoken minority. I think you're mistakenly thinking that people that aren't "outraged" condone this. They don't...they just realize how the world works. I just don't understand the logic behind people thinking this shouldn't be shown. Hiding it doesn't make it go away. Also, if America was truly outraged Helen or Candice would win the MVP--they aren't. Not all of my comment is "an opinion"...it is a fact that CBS had no legal right to take action based on comments. This, IMO, is the same non-sense that surrounded the show when Jeff made his comments about Harry Potter. Most people understand the point he was trying to make even though he couldn't articulate it because he's ignorant but certain people want to make issues about things based on their own agendas. All those people that don't want this shown are, IMO (this is opinion), part of the problem. Stop hiding things--discuss them

And I do believe if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. If you see a bully picking on someone and do nothing to stop it then you are the same as the bully in my eyes. And yes, a lot of people are pissed off by this, at least the people who watch the feeds. I see it in the chat rooms, on blogs, and even on tv. You are the only one I have cam acrossed that don't see it being an issue.

This will help Aaryn, Jeremy and Kaitlyn comprehend exactly what is wrong with what they're saying. It will also show others how stupid they look when they're saying. CBS shouldn't step in--that's absurd. This is a game and it is with real people. People can act however they want to act then they deal with the consequences of it. All 3 and Spencer will be, and should be, widely hated. That has nothing to do with it "being shown". Pissed off is completely different than the point I'm trying to make. You're taking it to an extreme by wanting CBS to remove them or not show it. "Pissed off" has nothing to do with the topic. Please explain why this shouldn't be shown. How in the world does pretending this doesn't happen help the situation? This can ONLY help. It creates conversation. It perfectly demonstrates how people look when saying these things. There are consequences for their actions (as we've seen and they'll find out when the leave the house) but there is NO logic at all with not wanting it to be shown. You somehow don't grasp my point. I'm not condoning what they're saying nor do I believe racism, sexism, etc doesn't exist. What I'm saying is that censoring adds to the problem. Just because it is difficult to see & hear doesn't mean it shouldn't be seen & heard. You have to set aside emotion and look at this from the bigger picture. There's something to be learned here and it is a great opportunity for parents. Do you really not see what I'm saying? The way I see it--I'm trying to discuss the benefits to airing this when you refuse to consider that because you're too offended by what is being said to consider why people need to see this. There isn't a person alive that hasn't heard a racist joke/comment in their life--this is no different. It is about what you take from it. To take something from it you have to see it.
Elissa-MVP, Jeremy-Nom (along with Elissa & Helen)...Nick & Amanda picked to play in the POV
Elissa-MVP, Jeremy-Nom (along with Elissa & Helen)...Nick & Amanda picked to play in the POV
Thanks for the heads up. This is the first season where I think I might pick up the live feeds
Jeremy won the POV
Jeremy won the POV
So more than likely Elissa will be gone this week?
America must be somewhat unhappy about the results, Elissa is currently trending worldwide on twitter.
So more than likely Elissa will be gone this week?
Probably...maybe Kaitlyn is she's the replacement nom
America must be somewhat unhappy about the results, Elissa is currently trending worldwide on twitter.
Pretty much. I was following the tweets under "#bb15" and I found maybe 5 tweets that weren't pissed at Jeremy winning. Could go either way between Kaitlin and Elissa. One thing is for sure, Candice is a lot more intelligent than I thought. She's already figured out there's an all-male alliance and suspects that Jeremy and Spencer are in on it.

She was wise to it after talking to McCrae as to why he didn't nominate a male.
Sounds like Helen, Candice & Elissa have decided it was best for Elissa to put up Nick--Elissa has not shot in hell against Nick
Everyone is so scared of Jerermy it's sickening. He said he is going to leave the MC and go after them if they don't evict Elissa this week and they are listening to him like a bunch of *******

What if a few of these kids are watching and a rooting form Arryn or Jeremey because they are good looking and have a crush on them? What would stop them from emulating them? It happened with Jeff. If CBS would've aird his homophobia then all of his fans may have followed suit. Yes, let's show these racist, homophobic, and disgusting people winning and being rewarded with money. Maybe it will have the opposite affect of what you think. These aren't jokes. They are hateful comments. Jokes are one thing. Flat out hatred is another. Sorry, but that's how I feel.

I'm delighted that live feed viewers are unhappy and angry with the comments they have witnessed, but I'd be much more impressed if they were being productive within their own communities. I don't doubt for a minute that both Spencer and Aaryn are very specific products of their environment back home. It's certainly unlikely that they developed these views or their manner of speech after having been selected through the casting process. We don't live in a homogeneous society. We've been Balkanized for years, but have refused to look introspectively. We live in a very biased time, but people have learned to keep their biases quiet as political correctness is very much the order of the day in the American workplace. CBS errs, in my view, by not including the cast's crass and insensitive commentary out of the broadcast episodes. In my view, America needs to see these people (and where they come from) for who they really are. We don't need a sugar-coated version of reality. Then BB might actually be performing a useful public service in addition to whatever entertainment value it may still have. (Stepping off my soapbox)
I just don't think racism has a place on this platform. If there is a joke on a sitcom, that's whatever, but not on this type of show. People are racist, sexist, etc. That's the world we live in--so show it so people comprehend how dumb they look when they say similar things. Those kids that are watching need parents that are willing to explain to them why it is wrong. And seeing that Aaryn and Gina Maria lost their jobs is a great example of how these things have consequences. People shouldn't have kids unless they're willing to deal with this inevitable situations. I still think Jeff's comments were completely overblown but I find it absurd to believe that "a fan" is simply going to believe whatever that person thinks. Personally, I like Jeff despite his comments but I'm not going to "follow suit" This is game--if they play the best game they deserve to win despite being a horrible human being. See Adam winning S9. Right now, Jeremy is playing an amazing game. That's unfortunate because he's not a good person but he's running everything. If that continues to be the case he should win. I don't understand why you think a "nice person" has to win. Evel was a horrible guy--yet a fan favorite. I think the outrage is fine but there is no logic in "not showing it" because pretending it doesn't exist can't help. And they did nothing to violate their contract to be removed from the show. I don't understand why people don't believe a 22 year old girl from Texas that came from money can't possibly learn from this when she sees the reaction. This will either change nothing about her or change her completely but it won't make her any worse than she already is--it can only be positive.
So, Judd & Andy are willing to consider voting out Andy if he goes up...that could be 3 votes for Nick (along with Candice) so they'd need Amanda, Jessie and either Kaitlyn or Gina Marie. Not looking good for Elissa. McCrae, Spencer, Howard and Jeremy definitely will keep Nick. Jessie doesn't seem on board at all with taking out Nick. Gina Marie loves Nick. Amanda is tied to McCrae and Kaitlyn is tied to Jeremy. Elissa is going to need production to dumb this down for her.
Yeah it does look like Production will have to help Elissa. It's not really looking good for her. I wish MC were not so afraid of Jeremy and would do something to get him out.
I really hope Big Brother is giving this group formal warnings for their racism and offensive comments... It may depict "real" people and their thoughts on society... but some of it is highly offensive and people do not want to watch that. This ****e would never fly in the UK house. After a bad racism scandal years ago on there, BB became very strict and threatens to throw you out if you continue to make offensive comments. They have tons of other hopefuls lined up to get in that house if someone is removed. They should really do that with the US. Kick out Aaryn, GM, and Jeremy... bring in some newbies to replace them. This is not okay.
