Ya I didnt like fresh meat 2 that much either but I will say that I think more eliminations should be like the fresh meat 2 exiles. I mean what eliminations shows you who the strongest teams are more then those ones.
Agreed, even more so when the cast has to wait to see who returns.
Wait do you mean most relevant to this particular season or the series overall? because if it's the latter then then there is no way in hell that Battle of the Exes and the First Rivals are the most relevant challenges(Battle of the Sexes 1 I would agree with you on).
With real world doing a retro rerun was fine because there aren't returning people. Playing Battle of the Seasons 1 would make no sense at all in terms of this next challenge, it's all about ratings. Regular viewers either love or love to hate people like CT, Wes, and Paula. Since they won, replaying seasons with them in it and using promos with them in it might get casuals excited to tune into this season. BoSeasons1, would not do any good. So yeah, Rivals 1 would be really good to replay before this season. And Rivals 1 is actually a pretty good season in general.
We need more one on one eliminations--that's what the show is missing. There is no such thing as an "epic" partner elimination round,
I always thought that they should do partner challenges and then like male vs male and female vs female 1 on 1 eliminations, the winners make up the new team going back in the game. That way each team returning Lewis getting stronger and less likely to be sent in everytime.

I didnt like those eliminations, its not exciting, its always the same thing. There needs to be some contact, and at least with rivals we can have guy on guy physical eliminations, 1 on 1 would be great but 2 guys is good enough.

It really isn't. Blast Off sucked, Going Up was pathetic, Rail Slide was decent (no contact) and T-Bone was solid. The eliminations have to be better than that.
The Fresh Meat 2 eliminations were much better than the Rivals elimination IMO. The entire concept of a partner challenge is working together and in those elimination they had to much more so than the first Rivals aside from Rail Slide and Hands On

I have a feeling a lot of people might be disappointed with these eliminations. I've heard the word "fluke" used more than once to describe them.

Do you mean in terms of the winner (teams involve in them), in terms of the elimination round itself (not entertaining, just boring to watch) or simple not challenging/easy to manipulate/big advantage for someone ?
I agree with "kvm1977". One on One eliminations is for me the best kind of eliminations. The thing for me in a partner challenge is that there's allot of great competitors who get sent home cause they had a ****** partner. Plus the partner eliminations are not as good (IMO) as solo eliminations. Pole wrestle, Beach Brawl (not sure that's the name but it was the one Beth quit), Push me, (The one Coral beat Beth at), Duel 2 (The one Aneesa beat Paula), etc. all those eliminations are the reason why i watch challenges.
I mean Rivals 1 was a great season, but the eliminations on that challenge were one of the worst in a challenge ever(IMO). Lets grab each other and see who lasts the longest? Lest try to turn more of this things around than the other person? If it was one on one we would've had Evelyn vs Aneesa, Cara Maria v.s Camila in the one on one eliminations that i mention and it would have been more entertaining, for me at least.
Anyway i just hope there's physical eliminations. They could toss a coin to see who goes against who (I know they won't do that but whatev) and if it is a tie, the two winners who won their round would have to go against each other and the winner wins the elimination. Or i don't know but I just want physical eliminations lol.
But i'm still looking forward to see this challenge regardless of the eliminations, so I'm still excited.

Crap! I meant Battle of The Seasons. >_<
Battle of the Exes and Rivals are incredibly relevant considering Rivals, Battle of the Exes, and Battle of the Seasons play a major role in this cast. Rivals could familiarize the audience with the concept, and given that it was one of the best seasons rating wise and entertainment wise - it could work very well. Battle of the Exes and Battle of the Seasons are really where the Rivals for this series lie, including the original Rivals.
Just a thought. Looking forward to this challenge nonetheless, given the amount of personalities in this bunch.

You missed an obvious one: competitions for which the way one becomes the winner is completely random, having nothing to do with ability.

The return of ear-wrestle. *cues slow motion shot with dubstep*

I have to admit this made me laugh audibly while sitting at my desk here at work.

So like a hypothetical example could be a game where there's 100 cards laid out on the floor and whoever picks up the correct card wins?
This is awesome! I am extremely happy Wes and CT won. Especially Wes as he is my favorite character from this shows. I think that he has just been screwed over the whole time as JEK alliance was always against him from the ruins, fresh meat II. I think he has redeemed himself after lame performances from Exes and Seasons.I think he should leave on top as he said at the Duel and this to be his last challenge.

I would think a fluke is CT vs Brad in push me, or that elimination on I3 with Abram and Timmy involving breaking windows from in inside a glass cube in the air, in other words someone wins by accident. That can explain how Knight/Preston beat Zach/Trey. Well 2 of the top guy teams survived the flukes, hope Diem/Aneesa and Sarah/Trishelle didnt have a ******** elimination
So like a hypothetical example could be a game where there's 100 cards laid out on the floor and whoever picks up the correct card wins?
That would describe a random win, I suppose. Just remember, I have to dumb down what I've heard in order not to give anything away. Just broad brush strokes...
I think this is a bit of an over generalization. I'm quite excited to see how this season plays out. While I'm not a huge fan of the new kids from Battle of the Seasons, I am interested to see how the politics of the game work out considering some of the Vets went home before the rookies.
My wife had never seen a Challenge but hears me talk about it a good bit and over the weekend we watched Rivals I. She's hooked to say the least. She wants to go back and watch some of the older Challenges I have from iTunes, so we're going to start at Fresh Meat I and work our way up.
I know a lot of the diehard fans complain about the cast, theme, etc. You complain because you care. I get that. However, Rivals created new fans. Battles of the Exes kept those fans. Battle of the Seasons turned people off. Rivals II is happening so that hopefully Bunim/Murray can get the show renewed for another season. If Rivals II doesn't do well, we will never get a Duel 3.
In my opinion, Duel 3 is where the money is. To get there, Rivals II has to do well. So watch it. Get your friends to watch it. Make noise about it on Twitter. I personally would hate to see this show disappear because even bad seasons like Fresh Meat 2, are more fun to watch than a lot of other shows out there.
Smart thing to do. As far as challenges nowadays, Fresh Meat is like the last more relevant season out there. Anything before kinda doesn't matter anymore. Plus, Fresh Meat was the best season in the franchise.
Wes is apparently in NY with CT, could this have anything to do with the Challenge? Jasmine is there as well.
Edit: Nevermind, they're apparently there for Scooter's birthday bash.
Kenny was there too apparently, wonder if that was awkward. I'm surprised how friendly Wes and Zach are now, they hated each other after bots, makes me really wana know about Frank/Zach even more. And were they only there for Scooter's birthday, Jaz, CT, Wes all dont even live in NY and they all on the next challenge, its too early for an after show though
Edit: actually I dont know what theyre there for, that pic CT posted is a pic someone else took (dancaster) whoever that is, that dude took that pic last week, theyre there for some other reason, could be after show for 1st ep??? something big has to happen for there to be an after show for only the 1st ep (maybe the Trishelle quiting issue?) It was apparently a quick trip since Wes leaves tomorrow, where does Sarah live? Cause shes in NYC too
Why would it be awkward if Kenny was there? I thought him and Wes were at least cool with one another and I don't recall Kenny talking/tweeting crap about Zach or Frank recently. Or did you mean since he isn't in challenges anymore?

Wes called Kenny a rapist, doubt theyre cool. I was refering to the Wes/Zach/Frank situation, Zach/Frank hated Wes on the last challenge but now Wes/Zach seem like theyre friends. I thought that pic CT posted was recent but it isnt, so for some reason, Wes, CT, Jasmine and sarah are in NY

I loathe your taste... but to each his own.
Is it possible tomorrow night we get the first trailer/teaser?
I would usually say the reunion but probably. There are like 4 more episodes to Portland right? Meaning that the show would be over mid june. If so, and the first preview wasn't until the reunion, that wouldn't be a full month of promo.

Yeah I don't think Wes and Kenny are cool. Are Kenny and Evan never allowed back on challenges because of that?
Yeah I don't think Wes and Kenny are cool. Are Kenny and Evan never allowed back on challenges because of that?
Not sure, but I think so. Its really hard to believe that they chose Brandon and Eric over Kenny/Evan on bots and Evan was soudning like hes never going to be going on the challenge again when he was talking to Paula on the radio interview thing cause he said you know now me and Kenny are spectators. Anyways, back to this challenge, I really hope the preview is tomorrow night
I love how Kenny and Evan get charged with rape, and they're outraged their only punishment is not being allowed back on a reality competition program they've already won a half dozen times. In the real world(no pun intended) there are consequences for that behavior, it's called prison.

Yeah, I remember Evan was with Paula doing those After Shows of this challenge bots and said next time maybe you'll see us not watching behind screens. Or something like that. So I'm guessing he does want to but can't. Previews I'm guessing will at least be in June though.
