The Challenge: Rivals II - Discussion (Spoilers)

Even if he hasn't done much in the past few seasons, him winning The Duel automatically puts him in the top 10, even if it is 9 or 10. Seeing as how that was one of the strongest guys casts.

This season seems kind of like exes,no major fights and no major alliances ,to me at least

I think production definitely told the cast not to interact much on twitter because still there is not much interaction at all. After battle of the seasons, everyone was talking to each other over twitter. But I still really want to know who Jordan hooked up with in the house.

I'm sure being away for awhile they'd want to settle in back at home, not to mention CT wasn't home for like 2-3 months, tweeting isn't probably the first thing on his mind

There is a lot interaction on instagram tough,they are posting photos of each other and commenting all the time

Instagram is annoying cause it only shows 4 hours of activity for me, and I'm not gona sit there all day stalking these ppl online, I did enough of that a few weeks ago lol but ya they all seem to be getting along, even CT/Wes, its funny how much "liking" an instagram pic can tell us about partnership dynamics during the challenge, but ya so that pretty much says they are cool with each other. Emily/Frank seem to be buddies now too, so are Camila/jeymme, I think every team became friends on this one. How boring lol. Oh well I'm still interested in seeing how Cara Maria got along with everyone and I wana know if Zach/Frank are still friends and I'm curious about if Wes/Frank still dislike each other,

Wes is very approachable (via PM).

If the Challenge is a month away shouldn't the MTV.com portal be up? They can't do a trailer reveal a week before, I mean they could but it's stupid. You would think MTV, who airs exclusive previews for movies a year before they come out at the awards shows, would at least have a teaser a month out for the main Summer program. I don't have a degree in this stuff but sometimes it baffles me how companies make decisions, you'd think they'd want to hype the show sooner rather than later...As a younger guy this is when people start making Summer plans, they should air previews now before the Summer kicks off while the demographic isn't out partying yet. A lot of clubs won't open for a week or so, more previews now will get it in people's heads. It's a shame that often poor ratings aren't because of the content, it's because of poor decision making

I would expect that they would air the first promo in the next week or so.

Who ever runs the challenge in terms of challenge ideas, promos, trailers, etc. should be fired. I mean you wonder why the show is danger of folding its because of the producers at BMP who put little to no effort into the show. However, I do feel like when the inevitable day comes where the challenge does fold, BMP will come out with a show similar to it, like a competitive challenge show but different. Kinda like MTV did with Buckwild taking place of Jersey Shore to an extent.

The trailer is supposed to come out in 3 weeks, I remember rivals 1 had that smoke promo before the trailer with footage from the challenge. And the rumored date is more than a month away, the trailer should be up June 12, and the rumored date is July 10 so I think a month of advertising should be reasonable.

Yeah thats pretty odd if they only have 2 weeks of promotion, a promo just introducing the theme should come out 1st. When are the pictures usually up?

How do you find Wes and these people on instagram? I went on the site and it wouldn't allow me to search for anyone. Can someone link Wes and Cts instagrams? Would be appreciated

Would be appreciated[/QUOTE] Its a phone app, to see the ppl you follow's interactions and stuff you can only do that with your phone, if you just wana look at pics you can just click on photos they post on twitter and that takes you to instagram and you see the rest of their pics by clicking their name. You can also use a site called webstagram and you can just search people but you gotta search their exact name on instagram, Wes is Weston Bergmann, CT's name is theofficial_ct or something like that, you can just look at who the cast members follow and find more ppl

It would be nice if they did a weekend of airing previous challenges, like Rivals I, Battle of the Exes, Battle of the Sexes - similar to what they did with Retro Real World. Just to bring everyone up to speed. It would be even better if they did OLDER challenges, but those 3 are most relevant to this show.

Of course they don't care if anyone tunes in.

I'm quite excited to see how this season plays out. While I'm not a huge fan of the new kids from Battle of the Seasons, I am interested to see how the politics of the game work out considering some of the Vets went home before the rookies. My wife had never seen a Challenge but hears me talk about it a good bit and over the weekend we watched Rivals I. She's hooked to say the least. She wants to go back and watch some of the older Challenges I have from iTunes, so we're going to start at Fresh Meat I and work our way up. I know a lot of the diehard fans complain about the cast, theme, etc. You complain because you care. I get that. However, Rivals created new fans. Battles of the Exes kept those fans. Battle of the Seasons turned people off. Rivals II is happening so that hopefully Bunim/Murray can get the show renewed for another season. If Rivals II doesn't do well, we will never get a Duel 3. In my opinion, Duel 3 is where the money is. To get there, Rivals II has to do well. So watch it. Get your friends to watch it. Make noise about it on Twitter. I personally would hate to see this show disappear because even bad seasons like Fresh Meat 2, are more fun to watch than a lot of other shows out there.

Ya I didn't like Fresh Meat 2 that much either but I will say that I think more eliminations should be like the Fresh Meat 2 exiles. I mean what eliminations shows you who the strongest teams are more then those ones.

Rivals II would have been fine if they had real rivals. They don't...that's the problem. I'm still going to watch but it will likely be as boring as The Battle of the Seasons
