LMAO Powder Springs is far from ghetto. It's a little urban but there's nothing ghetto or hood about Cobb County at all. I'm from East Cobb. If you think that's ghetto you need to get out of Cobb County because there's hella ghetto places/areas in metro-Atlanta & I don't think anyone would consider Powder Springs one.
Ghetto probably isn't the right word, but Powder Springs isn't a rich area either. There's some ghetto parts in cobb county, not super ghetto but yes ghetto. McEachern has a lot of ghetto people that go there. I don't mean that in a bad way because I like ghetto. But when you walk around campus and you sees pieces of weave everywhere from fights that is a little ghetto.
Ghetto people? Why are you so insensitive? And who said rich is the business anyway?
JEKFan, I agree after seeing that toothbrush situation I think she's starting to become really aggravating.
I also "love" the fact that she makes sure to mention the "hispanic" part.
Talk about hypocrisy...
She didn't. There's been worse said here on Vevmo to be honest. Like a previous poster is saying I hope she is joking. I love the action figure post though, lmao.

Huh?!; She did, "Hispanic maid".... Like for real now, does it really matter of what ethnicity this "alleged" maid was...
I just found it "interesting".... (even if it was involuntary on her part), since she herself said she encountered racism while being on the show.. Obviously no big deal, but a point of interest nonetheless.
She annoys me already and I doubt MTV gave her permission to reveal any of this. If she keeps this up, they probably won't ask her back to a challenge if she keeps revealing everything.
She doesn't want to do one
I also "love" the fact that she makes sure to mention the "hispanic" part.

True; If Johnny or Jessica would have said "I got some black janitor to..etc" I think she would have been pissed.
Yeaaaaaaaaahhhhh, a lot of people said that in the past, yet came back for more...;)lol
lol from my understanding, Jessica and Joi are the only ones so far who are avid about doing one.

Please tell what is insensitive about what I said. Ghetto isn't a dergatory term.
She has a pretty face but gots an ugly butt chin lol
I don't think she's as feisty and the BGC type as everyone is trying to make her seem like. I've seen the videos of her arguing with Johnny and for some reason she seems calm instead of loud and ghetto.
I'll most likely be proven wrong though lol

Its not racism. Nothing wrong with being descriptive, lol.

Not really. But then again she is playing the part of the ***** so who knows.

It is to a certain extent.

Like I said, no big deal..... But it does bear a meaning to some degree....;)
"Despite graduating Magna *** Laude from Howard University, not a day goes by that Nia's parents don't make it known how disappointed they are in her for not going out and getting a regular job. But as far as Nia is concerned, she's 23, hot, and should still be having fun with her life. She has a number of career goals, including being a writer, a philanthropist, and a model, but so far, she's been fired from four out of the five jobs she's ever had. Her problem is she can't keep her opinions to herself. 6 feet tall and athletic, she doubts she will ever succeed as a model because she can't give up her addiction to fast food. So maybe the book she's currently writing --a guide on how to find, date and keep professional athletes --will be her meal ticket to success. Nia grew up in the small town of Powder Springs, GA. Upon relocating to DC for college, she found herself overwhelmed by the rough urban environment. At eighteen, she learned to toughen up fast after a terrible experience with a guy. In a lengthy legal battle, the man who she accused of date rape was acquitted. To this day, "Hurricane" Nia veers from acting sexually open and aggressive to being terrified that a man may attack her again. In Portland, she comes to the protection of the other girls in the house when she feels they are being attacked by Jordan. She embarks on a full-on crusade to destroy and embarrass him. Despite all this outward aggression, Nia admits that she can be emotionally defensive, and hopes some of those walls will come down in Portland. Only problem is, with someone as explosive as Nia in the Real World House, will any walls be left standing?"
Whoa, I am so ready for her!
I thought I wouldn't really care for her but I'm intrigued.
Before I even read her bio, I had a feeling something like rape was going to be part of her story. I want to learn more about her.

How though? Nobody even suspected that
How though? Nobody even suspected that
I did. She reminds me of someone I grew up with. Based on her attitude and the stories about her, I just had a feeling something traumatic like that happened to her

I don't think the way she acts has anything to do with her past. She just wants to be a star, but has no talent. So what does she do? act as ratchet as possible on TV.

Could be true, idk. I try to everyone the benefit

I haven't seen her since highschool but I don't think she was like that at all in high school. She never seemed desperate for attention. None of us have seen the ahow to see what she behaves so aggressively but I do think it has to do with things that have happened in her past. I think she's just not afraid to hold back or be reserved.
I thought I was really going to like her at first, but I hadn't read the rest of this thread, Now that I have I mixed feelings about her. So we'll see how she comes off on the show.
Shavonda wasn't mixed. And she was very beautiful.
Oh wow really? I was convinced she was mixed this whole time.
Yes, I agree that she was beautiful. I just found her childish and selfish.

But the arguments still exist, and with video. And what is the point about Hooters? I know Hooters girls get a bad rap because of how they have to dress, but it's not like the girl is out there stripping. She waits table in short shorts.
Agreed.

Nonsense! I'm sure she does have a little something something special. Why the hell would she be cast if there wasn't at least a remarkable feature? And why does she have to be "ratchet"? She's not running through a club with her *** out.

She's doing the same on twitter! I just started following her on twitter and she comes off as VERY obnoxious and pompous. Hope this ends up being entertaining on television cause over twitter she just comes off as a Bad Girls Club reject that is trying to prove herself. Continually talks about smoking blunts and being a "bad ***".....
I did find it funny this morning she was tweeting about The Real World and she came right out and said the show has sucked lately (Gotta agree with her on that one!)
"You asked to be entertained. You said the show sucked. So I served it. How you gonna ask for the check even before taking a bite tho"

Okay you do realize that she could possibly be acting, right? KMSL. You'd think she'd absolutely implicate herself by openly admitting to smoking weed. Her name is Nia, not Brandon.
Actually if you look through her tweets she admits to smoking weed and advocates it a lot. Even earlier this morning, less than 3 hours ago, she said she was about to smoke some Maui. Not surprising for someone her age but I still think it's cringeworthy she brags about it over twitter.
Hi. It's me again. So... Can some of y'all hop off ur soapboxes and high horses? Let Nia express herself the way she wants, instead of being the "standard cookie cutter" MTV twitter user. So what if she likes smoking weed. So what if she puts it on twitter. Hop out her *** and just enjoy the show.
Peace
Ha! I do not care at all if Nia smokes weed. I am around her age bracket and live in Seattle.....believe me I am no stranger to smoking. I am not on any soap box or in any way judging her for smoking weed.
I was however commenting on the image she is portraying and to me she is trying to act like a tough "Bad Girls Club" type chick and I just find it cringeworthy. If thinking she's acting obnoxious by going on and on about smoking a fatty makes me a "standard cookie cutter MTV twitter user" then I guess I'll take it.

At some point each of us has a line we won't cross unless one is a sociopath. Tyrie, as much as I like you personally, it's not a high horse or soapbox for me, it's simply a choice to separate myself from someone like Nia. At one time RW was about people exploring life choices through living, though briefly, with people from different backgrounds. Now the show is about something else and has lost its former focus only to rely on the extreme personalities and manufactured drama. For me, the enjoyment is gone thanks in large part to the silly behavior of Nia and some others.
