The fact that Brooklyn would have won had Devyn not been there (sorry Devyn, like you but being honest) is horrible. All I ever wanted to see was Chet win a challenge, that's it.
If Chet could count, maybe he would have. Insisting his team needed a 9th tire to carry was dumb as hell.
So, you should be happy the person you like is the reason they struggled, right? :)
And they didn't struggle with the unneeded extra 50 pound tire Chet insisted they carry? Brilliant.
I think Trishelle did ok on the final, or at least just as good as Dustin. They both stunk on the puzzles, and did good/decent on the running. I am not sure the gap between the first puzzle of them timing out and SD finishing, but that right off the bat got in their head and probably messed up the other puzzles too because they knew they had to catch up
The only difference is that Dustin was trying to be suportive, and Trishelle did nothing but blame Dustin... She just never took blame for anything.
Robb/Marie seemed pointless to invite on the reunion. Other than Rob ripping his shirt off and Marie pushing Sam, they didn't even try to ask them anything. They were like the Leroy/Mike invite on Rivals reunion..
Wow. Overall, that was a terrible final. They flew in helicopters for like half of it. I just didn't feel any suspense at all for some reason. It obviously sucks that San Diego won but everyone knew that was going to happen.
It seems like the way they're operating now the final will either have fairly simple checkpoints but have an extreme weather aspect (Exes and Seasons) or be done in normal climate but have insane tasks at checkpoints (Rivals). I'm not sure which one I'd prefer. I'd say that in order of difficulty of the three Exes was the hardest and Seasons was the easiest by a hair mainly because the stuff on Rivals was just ridiculous. Exes had the cold weather element and even though the checkpoints weren't as physically demanding from an endurance perspective there was some real danger in some of them like digging through the ice tunnel and jumping in the river.
Well you're wrong because she did stop. As I just said she fell over and when her and dustin were carrying the tires she put them down and they fought. You can say what you want about Trishelle, thats fine I'm really tired of reading you defending her. She did good in the final thats true but to say she never quit is just a lie and she did well enough that there is no need to make her sound better than she is. Shes no Casey and she did awesome for what the final was, she did better than Devyn. But shes far from amazing and shes not this flawless trooper you're making her out to be. She stopped plenty of times and she was blessed to have a partner as understanding and kind as Dustin. I give Trishelle props she did better than I probably would. But shes hardly Sarah or Ashley. I would say Ashley is the real stand out. As she kept pace with the guys I didn't see her stop and her team was in the lead and ultimately won.
I totally agree that Ashley really stood out to me in this final because she was the only female to not complain at all. Sarah definitely had her bested in the puzzle aspect but I think Ashley handled the endurance part much better. I actually would like to see her on a challenge without Frank and Zach, especially in a Duel situation where she would have to fend for herself and show a bit more personality, but I think she could prove to be a strong contender.
I wish Sarah and JD had dropped their dead weight before the finals, I really think they could have won.
How is Chet dead weight?
And the helicopter thing is stupid ... Brooklyn lost their head start there.
And why did Devyn struggle so much more than Sam? Cause if I remember correctly Brooklyn kicked San Diego's *** in the Logged Out Challenge.

Brooklyn was smart and solved the puzzle before carrying the logs up. San Diego tried to carry the logs up and solve the puzzle, and as a result, had to do an extra trip. Brooklyn was the last 4 person team to make it up the hill with their logs, but they got all of the correct logs and minimized the number of trips they needed.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels this way about Ashley. Totally agree with everything said. Besides Emily's first show, Cutthroat she appeared very kind and just kinda there (aside from her fight with Ty). Then on Exes we actually got to see some of Emily's personality and it was fun to see. I feel like this was just Ashley's "happy to be here, rookie" phase.
I'm glad San Diego won. They were the overall better team; they deserved the win.
I agree that the helicopter crap was awful. It gave them too much time to rest! Also, the wonderful food they got to eat in that tent? Crap. They should have had to have some kind of eating challenge as part of the finale. And no, I don't really count the camel milk.
I know it looked like Sam sucked... but she had to do better than Trishell! You are only as good as your weakest player, which means she had to be running faster than Trishelle most of the time for them to have beat Vegas.
I know it looked like Sam sucked... but she had to do better than Trishell! You are only as good as your weakest player, which means she had to be running faster than Trishelle most of the time for them to have beat Vegas.
Vegas had time limit on first puzzle, and SD had 11 minute head start on them to start final leg. ...So 11 minutes is awfully hard to catch up to unless you are a freak runner and someone is passed out and can't move. Sounds like they traded off pushing Sam, Zach even said Frank was pushing him up at one point which i wish they would have shown. I wonder how long that final leg was going up and down the hills?
Trishelle seemed to have a good final overall. Only complaint with her was finger pointing blame on Dustin for every little thing. But she had been doing that all season anyway towards her team. He can't help you with the puzzle if you tell him you will do it, than you yell you need help. She just blamed him for every single thing. But overall she did better than I expected. Sam/Devyn were the true two who cost or almost cost their teams.
So if she was in fact causing the drama early, as a story arc in order to form a resolution as stated, than her passing the blame and being a ****** to Dustin in the final doesn't really add up unless she just passes blame and that is who she is. So it kind of contradicts that to me that her intention was to create the drama for an arc
Overall this final appeared to be much easier than the last 2 seasons. Those 2 or 3 helicopter rides were a nice breather while also kind of sketchy unless they kept the leads the same during the rides. Compare going up and down desert hills to going straight up a snow covered mountain, i'll take the helicopter rides and up and down a hill all day rather than straight up a mountain, all uphill obv.
But there was a reason they had an 11 min lead (although it was just 5 min over vegas), Its because they arrived at the base the first . Which means overall Sam ran faster than Trishelle. Brooklyn kept leaving challenges first , and SD always caught up, so Sam must have been ALOT better than Devon. You cant blame it on the mini challenges because the ones who left those first didnt win.
I just dont get the argument that Sam hurt the team.. maybe they wouldve finished 5-10 min faster without her , but I dont think she was doing that poorly...
Ugh, that was an unsatisfying finale.
Trishelle is all talk. She says she's good at puzzles but blames Zito for not helping her with it. Then she complains about the run, if she had anyone else as her partner, they would have chewed her out just look at Sam/Devyn. Then she brags about going beast mode at the end when the race was already lost. Not sure if it's just editing but Zito looked like he stayed up all night giving Trishelle a full night of sleep so she better be prepared.
Frank has become the biggest **** in Challenge history after this. The guy has some serious issues he needs to work out and it doesn't look like he does it for show.
Haha that was the most annoying Trishelle quote...after they ran out of time Dustin goes "Trishelle, I thought you were good at puzzles?!" and Trishelle replied "Well, I need, like, help!".
Its amazing the different dynamics. I have to say Dustin has come out of this challenge looking pretty good. When Trishelle fell he stopped turned around and asked "Trishelle are you ok?" and she said yeah and he said "Be honest."
I'm sorry but that's awesome. Because you know if that was any other male on any other team they would have just screamed at her.
That was my favorite moment between them! She fell and he goes "Trishelle!" and I was thinking oh no, here comes another teammate yell-fest...and the next thing out of his mouth was "Are you alright?!". He might've been a jerk to production but I really hope they have him back, he comes across as being very honest and earnest and it's both endearing and hilarious (when he's mad!). I want to see him again.
Anyone know how cold it was that Sarah was crying? I mean I know she's from CA but I used to walk to the bus stop in below zero weather..
You do realize how ridiculous comparing standing up in a little box all night after completing a days' worth of taxing challenges with another days' worth ahead of you to walking to the bus stop is, right? I mean honestly. I'd probably cry with all that damn running, taking the cold weather completely out of it.
I'm pretty sure it was below freezing...it showed the temp at one point I think.
I hate to do it, but I have to hand it to Frank athletically...he did great in the final. To have to do all that running and still have the energy to speak, let alone scream, at people is pretty impressive. Not saying the yelling was cool, but I'm impressed he was even physically able to do it.
Question...do the teams have any idea how many checkpoints will be in the final or how long it will go before it starts? While I was watching it I was thinking it would be really hard to know how to pace yourself if you didn't know what you were up against.
Anyone know how cold it was that Sarah was crying? I mean I know she's from CA but I used to walk to the bus stop in below zero weather..
Remember to factor in that her shoes were soaking wet and her feet started to hurt+lack of sleep. I could feel her pain, some of us have low tolerance for cold weather, haha.
I find it strange that the castmembers found pushing to be a good thing. I would have sit down, LAUGHED in their face, and watched them lose. Yelling doesn't motivate, it makes people go slower and "whine" 10x more. They were lucky I wasn't there, because I would troll so hard.
Sucky final honestly, but I was extremely impressed by Ashley. Girl has some serious potential and I hope to see Dustin, Devyn, Ashley, and Chet back from this final. It broke my heart to see Sarah lose again as she definitely could have won, had it not been for a weak link on her team.
Just realized how dumb Chet is. The rules were that you need 2 tyres for each team member.
Chet: "Go get another tyre"
Devyn: "We have 8!"
Chet: "I DON'T CARE, we are a team of 4, dumdum!"
And he'll never be invited back--per rumors
I really don't believe that. People suspect it but I don't think its going to happen for Dustin. Alton maybe but they don't care as he doesn't enjoy these anyway and probably wouldn't comeback unless the money was very good.
I'm glad San Diego won. They were the overall better team; they deserved the win.
Eh I have mixed feelings about this win. They did deserve the win this season but is wasn't a competitive season at all. 2 teams could have challenged them; Austin got bounced early due to an extremely unlucky matchup vs Easy in a weight-based game, and Cancun was in their alliance. I'd like to see how Frank & Zach do as a team against some people who are really gunning for them.

Based on the edits, I wouldn't say that 1 team did much better than the others at anything. We don't know how far behind LV was from finishing first. Most of the time, it looked like Brooklyn got a head start from the puzzles but it was maybe a minute at most. Based on Frank being a decent runner and him finishing without even looking tired, I'd say all 3 teams collectively sucked. Certain people definitely could have finished much quicker by themselves. LV was handicapped during the sieve minigame though, which might have made a difference.

It's easy for any of us to say that from where we're sitting, but $40k is quite the motivator and I think you'd see it differently if you were in her shoes.
So anyone think this was not the easiest final in the last 3 or so challenges? def not near rivals/exes IMO
According to Devyn and what she said TJ, Producers, and Sarah, have all said, this was the hardest final challenge they ever did. She was very clear about that.

How would Devyn and Sarah be able to comprehend what the Rivals and Exes finals were like?
They also seemed to feed the cast on this final, something they didn't really do on the previous ones.

Well I don't know if this counts but they "fed" the people on Rivals - it was one of the checkpoints. But it also made them all throw up.
