Lmao Frank, "Sam is running like a platypus"
Of course I'm rooting for Brooklyn but I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't win. Vegas winning would make me happy too (If only Nany was there instead of Trishelle :( )
In my opinion, there are 3 things you need to prepare for going into a challenge:
1. Long distance running/endurance
2. Swimming
3. Climbing
I never understand the people who are unprepared for those aspects of the game. I don't know how far into the Final we were when Sam and Devyn started to suck, but if it turns out to be a short distance (<3 miles), I will be disappointed in them. You obviously won't be able to go from a non-runner into a marathon runner after you get your availability call, but you should be able to run a 5k.

It frustrates me as well but Devyn stated Brooklyn was a "replacement" team so she didn't really train at all. I won't be shocked at all if Trishelle also struggles.
Devyn's awesome but I have a bad feeling about Brooklyn even finishing let alone winning.
Worst part about that intro was when Sam said "I'm not an endurance runner, sorry, you know I'll work on that for the next one." Please, God, don't bring her back for another one.
It amazes me that they're playing Jersey Shore when they should be doing a Challenge Marathon to catch viewers up for the upcoming finale.
Jersey Shore is coming to an end so I guess I don't blame them. 23 seasons > 6 seasons of a FAD. Let them have their moment. *smokes joint*
But yes, it would have been nice to see just a day marathon of this season.

They have much more money invested in Jersey Shore than they do in the Challenge. Jersey Shore is probably losing MTV a ton of money (even though they made a ton of money off of Jersey Shore in the early seasons) so they are probably trying to get as much money out of it as possible.

I don't understand it either. In some cases, challengers are replacements and didn't have the opportunity to train, but most have time to train. I'd be embarrassed to not be prepared for a challenge I know I'd face (endurance, swimming, etc.)

A month isn't enough time to train someone who usually doesn't work out for endurance and stuff like that all the time to run a 15 mile race in the desert, a frozen wasteland, nor a snowy mountain.
A 5k is near impossible for a layperson to run. So, if someone can finish that, it is impressive :P
This blows that away by a landslide. Even if Sam/Devyn/Trishelle have to be carried to the finish line, they should feel good! After all, they get a nice check for first place.

If you sign up for a challenge you should be able to complete a 5K--that's a little over 3 miles--that's nothing. I really find it hard to believe that most people couldn't complete a 5k--though I'm probably giving the average person too much credit

Is it only a month?
Sorry, I was under the impression that they had more time than that. Personally, if I had any interest in doing these challenges, I'd be keeping up a pretty regular exercise regime that would include running.

Yes sir. Ask a random person off the street to do a 5k, and they think you are cray cray. They could walk the 3 miles, and slowly jog, but probably be too tired to do puzzles, climb, swim etc. Think of Big E running 3 miles :P
Then again, MTV is the one who picks people, and maybe they assume everyone can run these Finals no problem!

Yeah, you're right
People in their 20s that can't finish a 5k are going to have major problems later in life
I just can't imagine signing up for one of these challenges if I wasn't sure I could finish. I really can't wait to see if Trishelle can handle this. Sarah too because her showing in Cutthroat was far from solid.
Sarah seems to have stepped up her game a lot, she definitely didn't have problems in the log challenge. Hopefully it won't happen again. I want Brooklyn to win!
Sucks she and KA couldn't have won the Ruins, that would have been a good underdog win.
Honestly, usually there is a team i root for why i like these finals. But here, all three teams are bickering right off bat, it's hard to root for them. I guess i'd like Brooklyn 1, vegas 2 though or vice versa if i had to root for any

I wouldn't be tolerating someone walking at that stage either though. 250k is on the line--******* up and go
They said tonight would be an aftershow - that is what was stated in every promo for the finale and they didn't say Reunion. Get your **** together MTV.
