I couldn't agree more. Jonna should have gone in with CJ and they could have possibly won. Jonna is smart and she maybe could have outsmarted Sam, who knows. Jonna staying with Derek is a waste of time and did they really think they would make it to the end? Jonna stayed for Zach. It's evident. Jonna on rivals was down to go in and fight but on here she is trying to stay for Zach.
When was this? Jonna had no option but to go in twice and she fought--we'll see if she fights when she has to go in. It amazes me anyone thinks Jonna should have gone it--absolutely dumbfounds me.
If you're a girl put yourself in that situation--do you want to go in knowing CJ is going against Zach (take out the relationship part)? Of course not--Zach's favored to win and even if you win then your fate is in the hands of a coin-toss. She didn't believe CJ would beat Zach--nor did anyone else aside maybe CJ
If you're a guy think about if you'd nominate yourself against someone with a 40 pound advantage knowing your partner was going against a girl that was likely to beat her.
This whole thing is illogical. No sane person would have volunteered.
Strongly disagree. Ashley is much better physically than Sam. The question about Ashley was whether or not she was "mean" enough for Hall Brawl. There is no doubt that Ashley is the much better athlete than Sam.
Ashley's the better athlete but Sam's the better fit for Hall Brawl
Again, if this would have been "endurance" or "strategy" I'd agree with you--in "physical" there isn't a valid argument that Jonna should have gone in. Neither Jonna nor Jasmine would be favored against any girl remaining in Hall Brawl. Why would anyone volunteer for that? It's illogical. Just absolutely illogical.

A sane person would have volunteered. Jonna was thinking about the short term too much and not enough about the long term. It is like Jeff Kent from this season of survivor. He got so fixated on beating Penner that it ruined his long term game where he could have easily made it to the Final 3. Jonna got too fixated on the immediate future, the elimination round, and didn't think about the long term ramifications of it.

Jonna was thinking long term. She knew Jasmine needed to go home for them to have a shot to win the final. That's a given--we saw that during the log challenge.
The problem again is that CJ went in. Cancun isn't beating ANYWAY in a physical elimination. Jonna made the right decision for her game. If they truly were a "family" they should have agreed to send in Derek & Jasmine knowing they were going to lose. Jonna wasn't going to beat Sam--she clearly didn't think she could

Jonna never threw a fit about going in on Rivals. Last night's episode is showed her getting all upset when CJ even suggested her going in and her leaving the room.
I've listened to interviews from other cast members and they all said Zach wasn't that great of a competitor and wasn't a smart player. Hence maybe why Frank only wanted him and Ashley there. So maybe CJ realized Zach isn't that great and that is why CJ nominated himself and was so confident going in. CJ wasn't stupid for going in. He was there and could judge how good of a competitor Zach really is. I'm telling you, Zach is overrated and just another MJ.

Jonna had no one to throw a fit too--she knew they were going in. There was no way aroudn that.
Zach may be another MJ. I have been disappointed with Zach thus far as well but that still doesn't alter the fact that "on paper" Zach is favored to beat CJ.
I still also don't understand why people think Jonna beat Sam in Hall Brawl. Pick a different elimination round and I agree with your point but not "physical". Jonna made the logical decision from a strategic standpoint. Think about the best strategic girls (Veronica, Susie, Coral, etc)--would any of them had gone in with CJ going against Zach and against a girl that outweighed them by 40 pounds. Of course not--that's why they were successful. They understand odds. This isn't a case of Jonna being afraid of an elimination round--it is a case of her understanding the odds of surviving it. As she stated on twitter--she felt going in was suicide.
I've been trying to avoid any conversation about Jonna's decision (I'm a little biased because she is my favorite castmember this season), but I'll put in my two cents.
KVM, I've read your posts and I actually agree with everything you've said. The big thing is, Jonna wasn't being a "punk" or a "*****" for her move, like she admitted on Twitter, she didn't think CJ would beat Zach (just like nobody else on the cast did) and she made a smart move to avoid the elimination.
At that point in the game, I'm not sure if Zach was even going to volunteer or not. If he saw Jonna volunteer herself I don't Zach would've volunteered. I think he wouldn't made Brooklyn decide. CJ knew he had the better chance over Derek against Frank or Zach, and I think CJ was being a team player and trying to give his entire team the best shot at them all making the final. That's why he wanted Jonna with him because they would be the strongest pair going in (strongest pair in the game IMO).
I'm sure if SD wasn't the team going against Cancun then Jonna would've stepped up and gone right in. No guy was going to beat CJ at Hall Brawl except Zach. It's great to have confidence in your teammates, but if they're staring Zach down in a little hall it's a little tough. Nobody, not castmembers, not viewers, not production, would've picked CJ to win Hall Brawl, so Jonna wasn't wrong. I am very glad CJ proved everybody wrong (because he really won that elimination, tie-breakers are NOT best 2 out of 3, complete BS).
I also think it's a little of a reach saying Jonna couldn't have beaten Sam. Of course weight plays a significant factor, but so does strategy (thank you CJ). I don't think Sam would've crushed Jonna like she did Jasmine. Jonna is a smart girl and I think she would've made it a battle. Even if she made it a foot race and got by Sam, she's faster and could've gotten to the bell quicker. I guess we'll see in the final elimination, whether it's Sam or Ashley, but I would be more surprised if it was Jonna losing that sends Cancun home rather than Derek losing to Frank, which we've seen a shot of and Frank was throwing Derek around.

Who said Zach wasn't that great, i am guessing maybe chet on the podcast? I am interested because people don't seem to say he is amazing, they always just reference how big he is. But i agree completely that he is not impressing me like he should..
It just goes to show being big doesn't necessarily mean you are really strong, nor does it mean you are smart. Hence the phrase popcorn muscles and those type things people say about athletes who are huge but kind of weak ...I mean i don't think Zach's weak, he just isn't CT strong or athletic like i thought he had a chance to be. He is more of a middle tier type player i'd say. But than again what if he dominates the final, and is a leader and solves the puzzle? i mean i doubt it, but i'll wait till the end to fully say. However, his hall ball performance he won , but still lost 3-2 to CJ head to head.
I also find it funny how cocky he is on twitter and how he hyped himself up for his final round win and i mean you would think he just destroyed CJ the way they talk about themselves and how with his size he can't be beat in anything physical. Dude, you lost 3-2 in something physical , but still won. Consider yourself lucky
Based on the previews for the next episode her is what I think happens.
St. Thomas gets last. We hear someone yelling Robb's name while he's swimming and he looks to be struggling.
San Diego wins the challenge. The fight between Dustin and Frank happens before SD makes their decision for the Arena. SD sends in LV. Robb & Marie go into the Arena obviously and Alton & Nany go in. Robb & Marie send Alton & Nany home in Endurance or Strategy.

Based on the online preview, I'd say the fight happens because Frank yells at Nany because she's yelling at Derek.

I don't get what your saying.
I'm guessing for the next episode St.Thomas comes in last in the next challenge, SD wins and puts Las Vegas in the Arena, SD chooses a Endurance Arena based on Robb's height, then the house goes into chaos the fights between Frank & Dustin, Robb & Derek, and Nany having another mental break down. Plus, I think Alton steps up to go in but Nany & Trishelle cannot come to an agreement so SD puts in Nany.
If I'm remembering correctly it was said that Nany spat on Frank's face? I'm wondering if this happens during the elimination or during her meltdown?
Or they'll give her a good edit like Alton and not show it at all.
Or they'll give her a good edit like Alton and not show it at all.
I'd be shocked if they did considering it's against Frank.
I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't show the spit because I think they are editing Nany to be the victim to villain Frank.
I'm thrilled Robb and Marie win. I wonder if they won because they kicked butt or if they won because Alton didn't want to be there. Can't wait for next episode.

In this situation, given the known factors, you have to play for the win. At this point we (and they) know that having only 2 people on your team means you just about automatically lose most of the daily challenges, if not come in dead last, which over time will lead to you going home. So I think it doesn't matter if it's Frank or Zach, you play for the win to keep the team intact. Not to mention, if Zach sticks around, he probably wins any finals because although he may not have quite proven his beastliness in that elimination round, he definitely crushes everyone else in endurance and can carry Sam if he has to.
I don't think having Jasmine around for the finals would be a big deal, she's so small CJ and Derek could take turns carrying her.
As far as Jonna not thinking CJ could beat Zach and also not believing she could beat or outsmart Sam... man, what a Debbie Downer. The Challenge isn't enhanced when people act like *******, so please don't come back if you're not in it to win it!
P.S. I'm in the small minority but I thought CJ could win. Hall Brawl isn't 100% about strength and I gave him about 40% odds since he is (imo) smarter than Zach. I think he outsmarted himself in Round 5 though, but there should have never been a Round 5. I strongly feel production altered the rules to give Zach a chance to win.
There's a sneek peek on mtv.com with Brooklyn complaining about Devyn and San Diego, including Ashley, yelling at Sam.
I wanna see Dustin do something crazy when they lose. Like "Trishelle, you just cost Nany $125,000."

Maybe we will get some new information about the Sydney-gate! Can somebody try to ask Dunbar something here.
I don't care enough about Dunbar to watch the entire spreecast.....was anything about BOTSeasons said? Was anything interesting at all said? Anybody watch it all?

When they got there it was discovered that someone from Sydney had a heart condition and they weren't able to compete.

Who?
Who?
By Process of elimination.... Isaac.
We know it was a guy because they tried to get Cohutta in as a last minute replacement and I don't think Dunbar was talking about himself.

Is this true? I thought it was something to do with more than that like a DQ.

Yeah...that's not true.
