If I win and 2liuget wins, I am in. If I win and copples wins, I have to outscore 2liuget by 56 points this week to own the tiebreaker. If I win and they tie, I am out.
For Fab to get in, she needs to win and have 2liuget win and not be outscored by 36+ points by copples.
If copples doesn't make the playoffs, it will be a shame because they have a really good team but don't update their roster.

True to all of that, but I was really referring to Copples having 2 players headed to IR and he has only been minimally active all season long, so the odds he notices and makes some roster moves are slim. Which translates to what [I]should[/I] be an easy win for 2 Liuget (although we've seen Copples win some weeks already when he had bye players active on the back of a solid Matt Ryan performance so who knows). Either way, his having 2 inactive players definitely increases your chances of getting in.

Lol Wallflowers just came up to me today and was like "Oh my God, Peyton Manning only got me 16 pts this week!". And I was like lolwut, there are still Thursday games? Ah well, consider that one a gift. Doesn't really matter though, I think I've averaged about 5 pts a week from RBs all year so they hardly impact my final pt totals hehe.

That is what happens when you take Fred Jackson over Adrian Peterson. I was given a gift by having Peterson drop to me at the bottom of the 2nd round.
True, although the jury was quite out on AP at least for me. Jackson kinda got screwed with his early-season injury and the emergence of Spiller; he'll never be "the man" now in Buffalo. If I were him, I'd demand a trade this off-season as he's too good to be splitting carries and deserves to start somewhere (same with Spiller, and I hate RB committees).
My goal this year was to not suck in the 3 WR slots, because I find it hard to find quality for all 3 spots in a 12-man league. I hate seeing guys get 1-2 pts a week in that position. Of course, it ended up screwing me for RBs and I traded one bad position for another but eh, what can you do? I'd much prefer to have that 3rd WR slot be a flex position.
Next year I still plan to run a league with the guys here, and I'll make sure it has a flex spot instead of a 3rd WR. Of course, I think we've also learned that mixing a group of RL people with another group of online people together in a league where only 1 person can see what both sides are saying (me) is a BAD idea, since stuff that happens on one side looks extremely shady to the other (I'll give you that B).

I fail to see how collusion wouldn't be shady if I knew you in real life.
Because all 4 of the people I knew IRL knew what we were doing ahead of time and were fine with it. One of the (benefits?) of discussing things face-to-face everyday. I knew ahead of time that there were only 5 potential people (the actives) who might veto trades I made, so it was a bit sketchy on my part, but at no time was it a "secret agreement between two parties". If it were a league comprised entirely of people from my workplace, we'd be approving/shooting down trades before anyone ever proposed them because that's how they prefer to play.

Flex is a must. I might entertain doing ESPN or Yahoo next year for that reason alone.
I also think there is some merit in limiting it to 8 or 10 teams, for flexibility in roster purposes. It kinda stinks when one of your main guys goes down and there's no option to pick up even a ****** starter. Sometimes it works out when the handcuff steps in and performs, but that's no guarantee. Plus, we tried hard this year to get only active players involved and we still had 2-3 teams who didn't really play, so 10 would be pretty safe.

For me that is the big difference between fantasy football and fantasy baseball. Football is 80% draft, 10% luck and 10% everything else. There are no comparable replacements when an elite running back goes down, so if it happens you are generally done for the season. There are very few top tier options at WR/QB/RB. There are a handful of truly impactful players and then everyone else.
With baseball, the draft is important but I find that about 60% of my roster in a given year is turned over. That's because you fix deficiencies in one area by finding gems in another. There are only two scoring systems - one for hitting and one for pitching. If you get a corner infielder that hits 30 HR it counts just as much as an OF hitting 30 home runs. If you get a two start pitcher in a given week that pitches two mediocre 15 point games, it counts just as much as a 30 point Verlander no-hitter.
That's why I prefer fantasy baseball over fantasy football. The owners chart the course of their team after the draft via baseball their IQ. Not to mention that football is very touchdown oriented. It's feast or famine unless you have an elite scorer with separate kicking, defensive, receiving, running and quarterbacking point systems.
Speaking of owners, I am the #1 rated fantasy football coach in our league - which pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the impact a coach can have on a team after the draft. If the best players you can find to fill your bench never score, it's hard to make bad decisions.

I would ague that fantasy football is largely dependent on your football IQ as you have to draft everyone based on the upcoming season whereas fantasy baseball, is just dependent on how active you are and not how much you know about baseball. I played 1 season of fantasy baseball (2 leagues, 1 roto 1 head to head), and I won the head to head league because I was active and most other people were not. It doesn't mean I knew more about baseball than the other people, I was just more active and won the final 17 weeks or so because I was active and made up for my horrible draft, due to a lack of baseball knowledge.
