You never know who would be willing to do a challenge. Mark, Derrick, Abram & Darrell seem like 4 guys that would do one--Kefla (Down Under) recently said he'd do one if asked. Katie, Rachel, Susie, Tori, Veronica, Jillian and Ibis could all possible do another challenge--although Susie, Tori & Veronica all either are pregnant or had a kid relatively recently--that may alter their availability. It wouldn't be easy but they could possibly do it.
Veronica's definitely not doing one - she's pregnant. Ibis said in an interview that she was done, and Katie and Tori have moved on from the Challenge. If Susie just had a kid recently, then you're left with maybe just Rachel and a bunch of guys.
Do you know why they switched from RW vs. RR to Good Guys and Bad ***** (Inferno) and Vets vs. Rookies (Gauntlet)?

They were tired of Team RW losing all the time. Gauntlet 1 and Inferno 1 were pretty much land slides.

Gauntlet 1 was just a land slide in the eliminations, not really the missions

Better than seeing Johnny get carried out head-first into a trashcan?
get out of here.
lol nothing was more epic than that.

That was on Cutthroat. The incident he is referring to is from Exes. On the that night Camila went crazy and walked into the pool, there is speculation that she violated her contract with drug use.

sorry bout that (:
well I agree that way CT with his smoker lungs would've won that challenge .
Don't you mean Fresh Meat 2 or Rivals...
Which leads to the answer... You can't really get kicked off for fighting when it would cause someone else to go home and screw with the final edited product. If Jenn got kicked off FM2, Noor goes home and they have one less team for the finals and future missions. If Jenn got kicked off Rivals, Mandi goes home too and you have only two teams for the final. If Camila gets sent home for doing drugs, Johnny goes home and they lose another team. If Dustin gets booted for shoving Frank, one female must go home as well and how do you determine which one? Had Adam slapped Ty after say... Challenge 6... he would not have been sent home.
On Cutthroat/Ruins/Gauntlet/Inferno losing someone creates no real problem to production, like when Chet and Shauvon left due to injury.
This leads to another question. Molds said Adam Royer was not paid for his one episode on Rivals. Do the people who break the rules but don't get booted still get their paychecks?
Well, they did send Sarah home with Vinny after he pulled Mandi's shirt down and sent Heather home with Dustin when he hurt his knee on Exes, so I don't think that matters much.

Katie said she was done during the Ruins...but then came back one challenge later for Cuthroat...has she said since that she was done?
Also Laurel was answering questions while watching the recent episode of BOTS2. Here is a link:

she was saying there is talk about a rookie vs vets for the next season, and she is interested in coming back since she hasn't won yet.
Tori wasn't going to take that risk--Tori would have gone after Brittini or maybe even Diem if she had been the last pick. Tori was definitely Rachel's biggest threat in a final which is why she used Aneesa to take Tori out.
I don't think she really cared enough to take the risk of taking Rachel out. I mean she did almost quit that season anyway. She didn't really seem to upset when she lost to Aneesa.

Many consider the Island to be the worst challenge to date. The Island is definitely my least favorite...almost no competition, horrid final--there was decent drama but that was about it.

I agree with this.
I wanted an Inferno. I just love the Good Guys vs. Bad ***** format and they could have viewers vote online like they did the first time.
But I thin we're well overdue for an individual challenge

The Inferno 3 was the most boring challenge, in my opinion.
I enjoyed The Island from a dramatic standpoint, but the competition sucked.

The island could be a really cool challenge to do again if they changed up the rules. Maybe do something like have 8 people of the same gender compete each challenge, the top 2 get keys and the bottom 2 have an elimination round. When all the keys get taken it switches to 4 guys and girls competing, and the top guy and girl get to call out whoever they want for a face off to try to take their key. I think this challenge would be sick to do with a good mix of vets and rookies. After all, the island was the challenge where Johnny and Kenny took the throne from the vets (although there weren't many vets on that challenge).

I feel the island got too heated because they restricted food, but still gave them alcohol on less rations than usual. But I feel the Johnny vs Evelyn thing still leaves a bad taste in many viewers' mouths.
This format could work with different people (or less alcohol, I promise lack of food will make these people fight and argue enough) Two teams of 10 go head to head in a challenge. The winners vote for a person on their tribe (or team to not infringe on Survivor) to receive a key, the losers vote out a contestant on their own team. The best player of the 20 in that week's challenge picks the boat that the key earner will paddle on. Once all 8 keys are given out, the overall winner can chose to trade members on a boat, or steal a key if they don't have one. You can make teams Good Guys vs Bad *****, or Under 25 vs over 25 years of age, Guys vs Girls (just pick fair challenges), it creates dynamic, strategy and still keeps to the purpose of the game.
It's strategy, it's competition, you can't just decide who's on who's boat at the end, so you pretty much have less of a landslide victory like last time.
I think whatever challenge rules you set up, the players are going to quickly learn how to play it to their advantage... at least the ones that have it in them to win it politically. Just competition will make it boring too, because their will be no social struggle set up for the players.
A revamped Island would be nice, but not for next season. I think a Duel should wait for Summer filming, I think Cutthroat Old School vs Middle School vs New School would be epic! Rookies vs Vets may not be as solid since you have Cancun, Brooklyn minus Devyn, Las Vegas minus Nany all becoming vets next year the way the show does the Veteran status.
Anything that makes Johnny and Frank fight will be entertaining. But I'm not sure they really will, they may align which would be rather disappointing to watch because it only makes the "in crowd" more strong. :-P
Okay, so I was bored and decided to break down a rating system for the players. This is what I used (can easily be changed). Winning a season=25pts, finishing 2nd=10pts, finishing 3rd or 4th=5pts. Team Competition/mission win=1pts, individual or partner competition/mission win (Duel, FM/FM2, Rivals, Exes)=3pts, Inner Circle (Battle of the Seasons1/Battle of the Sexes1)=1pts, voted off=-2pts and Faceoff wins (The Island)=3pts.
Elimination rounds: Individual win=10pts, individual loss=-5pts, pair win=7pts and pair loss=-3pts.
Winning a pardon/life saver/etc=1pt. I used all data from the first Battle of the Seasons until the end of Battle of the Exes.
Using this, the top 15 (average points per challenge) that have done 3 or more challenges:
Men: Landon, Alton, Darrell, Mike (Back to NY), Theo (Max Velocity), Evan, Kenny, Timmy, Tyler, Wes, Derrick, Johnny, Mark, Abram & Brad/MJ (tie)
Women: Susie, Jillian, Laurel, Jodi, Tori, Cara (South Pacific-shocking), Coral, Evelyn (FM & The Ruins hurt her), Kina, Veronica, Rachel R (anything with a vote off hurt her), Jenn, Paula, Aneesa & Cara Maria
Top 5 that have done 2 challenges:
Men: Jamie (NOLA), Frank (Vegas), Dan (Northern Trail), Eric Neis & Randy
Women: Emily (DC), Holly (Latin America), Elka, Emily (RR2) & KellyAnne
Top 5 that only did one challenge”
Men: Colin, Sean (Boston), Danny (NOLA), Dave (South Pacific) & Pete (FM2)
Women Sarah (Campus Crawl), Kendal, Svetlana, Christena (South Pacific) & Carley
Lots of women that only did one challenge were solid--the same can't be said about the guys that only did one
Top 10 individual challenges
1. Sarah (Campus Crawl) on The Gauntlet (83pts)—by far the best
2. Kina on The Gauntlet 2 (64pts)
3. Susie on The Ruins (63pts)
4. Evan on the Duel (61pts)
5. Frank on The Gauntlet 3 (60pts)-TIE
5. Jillian on The Gauntlet 3 (60pts)-TIE
7. Landon on The Inferno 2 (57pts)
8. Katie on The Inferno (56pts)
9. Cara on The Gauntlet (53pts)
10. Colin (Hawaii) on Battle of the Sexes (50pts)-TIE
10. Nehemiah on The Gaunlet 3 (50pts)-TIE
Seems pretty fair—open to suggestions

Yes, I just overlooked that--same as Frank & Jillian on the Gauntlet 3--my bad. The calculation was right--just skipped it--sorry/good catch

Dude aren't you like a 35 year old lawyer with 2 kids? How do you have time to do this? This system is very similar to mine. I think the biggest differences are that you don't reward enough points in my opinion for winning team challenges when it's individuals or pairs. I think those wins are usually more impressive than winning an elimination round. I also judged every elimination by the toughness of the competitor, not just giving equal points for all elimination wins. My system gives 1 point for beating a below average competitor, 1.5 for average, and 2 for above average (are numbers are different but it's all pretty much the same). For example, I would have given Zach a 1.5 for beating Knight and Jemmye last night because I think that they were a pretty average team. It's a little subjective, but I think I'm pretty accurate. I'd also make Island face-off wins worth more points, they were basically elimination rounds. The only other thing I'd say is that any list with Evelyn as the 8th best girls has to have a flaw in it. Otherwise not a bad system.

I'll stay on topic. What is Susie's elimination record? Isn't she undefeated or something?

For starters, my wife & kids are in Texas visiting her family so I've had some free time this week at night. It also didn't take all that long.
I tried to leave anything subjective out of it and I disagree with The Island wins being comparable to an elimination round because of the vote-off. Evelyn went home first on FM and was the 2nd girl out on The Ruins--that is obviously going to hurt--they can't be ignored. If I were to take those 2 out she'd be ranked 2nd behind Susie. Cara being ahead of her is bad but the first Gauntlet and her free pass in the Inferno 3 carried her. None of the other girls being ranked ahead of her seems irrational even though we all know Evelyn and Rachel R are better than where they're ranked in that list.
Even if I counted Face-off wins as the same as individual wins Evelyn would move ahead of Coral but not Cara.
I took your advice and upped Face-off wins to 7pts (same as a pair win), team comps (from 1-2) and individual/partner comps (from 3-5) and Evelyn is still 8th--though the top 5 becomes Susie, Jodi, Laurel, Jillian then Tori so maybe there's validity in that. Cara's the only issue I see and that could be largely because she only did 3 challenges.
4-0 (free pass in The Gauntlet 2, 1-0 in The Inferno 3 and 3-0 in the Ruins)
4-0 (free pass in The Gauntlet 2, 1-0 in The Inferno 3 and 3-0 in the Ruins)
That's it. I remember her mentioning it in Ruins acting like it was a big deal. Throw her in an elimination round with Emily. That would end it.
Thanks for the answer :)
I wouldn't necessarily call Susie's Gauntlet 2 experience a free pass. Kina had roughly 3 chances to call Susie in for an elimination round, but she didn't because in her mind as captain, there were other options to take out. In the same regard, Jodi would have had a free pass in that game too as well as in the Duel since no one called her out when she was an option.
As much as we all know Evelyn, Emily, Rachel, Laurel, Kelly Anne are strong women, these games are not just about brute strength, but it's a social game as well. If we took the social aspect out of it and judged the girls on how much they can squat, bench press and how fast they can run then yes, Laurel, Evelyn, Emily, Rachel, Kelly Anne, and perhaps Paula would be the champs in the standings as the best players. Susie has a political science degree and is earning a doctorate (or has earned it). She knows how to manipulate the game and that's how she does so well. She avoided going in against Kelly Anne in the Ruins although the guys could have just thrown her in and told her goodbye. She won 3/4 life shields by strategy and actually doing better than Paula depending on the week. Yes, she'd more than likely lose to any of those top 5 women I listed, however, good luck getting her in that sticky situation... because you'll have to outsmart her first :laugh4:. Not impossible, no one is unbeatable, but it definitley hasn't been done yet given the chances there have been. As of now, I think Laurel can play on her field politically and beat her in challenges. But we won't have a clear cut answer until they all play together, they would possibly even be seen working together.
