I voted for a Ruins 2, just because the Challengers would have a stacked team with CT, Laurel, Emily, Leroy, Kellyanne, etc. I wouldn't mind a Duel 3 at all though with Evelyn, Rachel, Aneesa, Laurel, Emily, and others.
I don't think The Ruins 2 would be Challengers vs. Champions...I think it would be Veterans vs. Rookies Completely agree regarding a Duel 3
I don't think The Ruins 2 would be Challengers vs. Champions...I think it would be Veterans vs. Rookies Completely agree regarding a Duel 3
Good point, if not I wouldn't mind a 4 challenge minimum required to be considered a vet.
Good point, if not I wouldn't mind a 4 challenge minimum required to be considered a vet.
Agreed--something along those lines. Maybe 3 prior so if this is your fourth (which may be what you meant) you're a veteran. That way people like Dustin, Leroy, Jonna and Emily would still be rookies but Laurel & Ty would be veterans.
Nice to see that MTV is doing this poll. I dont really care what we will see next. Ruins 2 would be better for drama since there is so much hate now between Vets and Rooks.
I'm not sure the rookies would appreciate any status change since there are two pay scales, one for rookies and another (more lucrative) for vets.
You don't have to adjust the pay scale to set up teams in a certain way. If need be then use names other than Veterans and Rookies. Regardless of the pay scale I still only consider first-timers to be rookies so I think that's an idiotic "title" anyway.
I've said this before I want there to be a Ruins 2 Champs vs Challengers just so CT and maybe Jenn or Sarah or a few respected vets that haven't won yet can be on a team with Frank and the new kids just to see that dynamic, and hopefully the challenger team will be too stacked to lose (or rigged in the Challengers team favor by production) so that people like Emily, Laurel, Leroy, Zack, CT, Frank, etc will win. Then for season 25 have a Duel 3: Champions or at least have it be all stars or something. I also think an Island 2 if they changed the rules a lot would be really interesting to see down the line with a mixed cast of vets and young kids.
I don't think The Ruins 2 would be Challengers vs. Champions...I think it would be Veterans vs. Rookies Completely agree regarding a Duel 3
The Ruins won't be Vets vs. Rookies. That's called the Gauntlet. I voted for a Ruins 2 though, since it's the closest to a Vets vs. Rookies. It would be sick if the Challengers included CT Laurel Emily Jenn Sarah Dustin Nany Laura Pete Chet and Noor.
Why do people think Theresa is good? She seems meh in the girls category.
Why do people think Theresa is good? She seems meh in the girls category.
I don't really care for her, but she seems solid. She didn't' really stand out on her 3 challenges.
The Ruins won't be Vets vs. Rookies. That's called the Gauntlet. .
That's not true. The Gauntlet was Road Rules vs. Real World the first time. These formats aren't tied to a certain theme. Just like The Inferno started as Real World vs. Road Rules and turned into Good Guys vs. Bad *****. The Ruins format is what people want to see--you can use any way you want to split up the teams. I have never understood why people don't think they can split the teams different. Like if they did another Cutthroat it couldn't be split into predetermined teams because they did "captains' pick" last time.
Why do people think Theresa is good? She seems meh in the girls category.
She's a good athlete (played college basketball) and has done well in challenges. Nothing special but she has potential--reminds me a little of Tori. She'd be someone that would do very well in a final IMO. At worst she's average with potential.
Regarding the Ruins. I wouldn't mind another Ruins but It needs balanced teams. I do not want to see one team completly dominate another like in the 1st. That's boring and bad television IMO. And also I wasn't very fond of the negative and depressing feel of that challenge so that needs to change too but I think that has more to do with the cast itself so..I guees BMP should try to cast people who are fun and lighten the mood a bit I suppose. Oh and Make sure nobody gets raped either. I would also be fine with a Duel 3 but make the challenges actually indivitual. There were to many pair challenges last time. And the voting Process needs to change too. There were too many people stressing over a damn list that was really dumb IMO. It's like they didn't understand that only the guy and girl that won the challenge was safe so what was the damn point of the list? Dumb.( I know that's not the producers fault but my point with that is that if you changed the way people got thrown in The Duel than you wouldn't have things like that.)

Obviously you can't have RW vs. RR now since RR is extinct, and most of the Road Rules contestants have moved on. On another note, I also like the format for the Inferno.

Or do cumulative scoring where the bottom two after each competition must go into the duel.
I'm not sure the rookies would appreciate any status change since there are two pay scales, one for rookies and another (more lucrative) for vets.
You would know better then me but Evan did say on Derrick's podcast that before rivals: Johnny, Kenny, and Himself, negotiated a new higher payrate, and in the course of doing so BMP made it one payscale. This is all according to Evan.
I like both of your Ideas but I would go with the second one only because the 1st has been done twice now(Battle of the Exes and This currrent season).
I always thought the second option would be good if they ever did another battle of the sexes type format but I definitely think it could work for the Duel. I kind of like the "no room for error". I still pray we get a duel with Evelyn, Rachel, Laurel, Emily, Landon, Leroy, Zach, CT, etc but I doubt that ever happens--unfortunately.

Beth made an aborted attempt years ago to push for unionization and recognition by the guild, but, sadly, it got little traction with the cast, MTV or SAG.
One should not assume that there is a standard to which BMP holds its cast. If there were a standard, then Jenn Grijalva certainly should have been sent home on at least one occasion during "Cutthroat." Perhaps the "standard" is whatever BMP thinks is best for their show.
Don't you mean Fresh Meat 2 or Rivals... Which leads to the answer... You can't really get kicked off for fighting when it would cause someone else to go home and screw with the final edited product. If Jenn got kicked off FM2, Noor goes home and they have one less team for the finals and future missions. If Jenn got kicked off Rivals, Mandi goes home too and you have only two teams for the final. If Camila gets sent home for doing drugs, Johnny goes home and they lose another team. If Dustin gets booted for shoving Frank, one female must go home as well and how do you determine which one? Had Adam slapped Ty after say... Challenge 6... he would not have been sent home. On Cutthroat/Ruins/Gauntlet/Inferno losing someone creates no real problem to production, like when Chet and Shauvon left due to injury. This leads to another question. Molds said Adam Royer was not paid for his one episode on Rivals. Do the people who break the rules but don't get booted still get their paychecks?

Favorites get away with edits that don't make them look as stupid and makes them look better. Johnny on Cutthroat and Rivals got some of this with the Camila business but Jenn's always been the crown jewel for this company with all of the stuff I can come up with that made her look A LOT better than she really is.

Maybe Susie and Tori, but I doubt it. I guess you can count Fresh Meat, although they always rely on the terrible FM players like Big Easy Mandi and Vinny.

Mark, Derrick, Abram & Darrell seem like 4 guys that would do one--Kefla (Down Under) recently said he'd do one if asked. Katie, Rachel, Susie, Tori, Veronica, Jillian and Ibis could all possible do another challenge--although Susie, Tori & Veronica all either are pregnant or had a kid relatively recently--that may alter their availability. It wouldn't be easy but they could possibly do it.
Veronica had a kid?!?!
She's currently pregnant--same with Susie unless she just had her kid
She's currently pregnant--same with Susie unless she just had her kid
Susie had her kid a while ago. I'd love to see her back, but only if it's a challenge that suits her playing style. Yes I'm petty. :-P I still fanboy when Susie's on the TV. Mark, Theo, Kefla, Shane, Darrell, Abram, Derrick, Dan (revenge), Adam Larson, Susie, Veronica, Rachel, Katie, Sophia, Kendal, Christena, Tina, Cara, so many more I'd love to see back. Can we please put this show back on the air? haha! :-)
MTV keeps tweeting this. Looks like we just might get another Duel!! Which Type Of 'Challenge' Should MTV Run Next?
