Evan said the same thing i posted on the screening room thing with Paula(which is actually fun to watch) how he noticed Frank stepped up to a guy's face twice, and both times they showed Zach behind him. So of course he is all bad when he knows that and this season isn't exactly full of "alpha males" so it's easy for him to run his mouth he knows he is no harm. I highly doubt he would do so around some of the bigger guys if you put him in one of the past challenges, where as he is one of the bigger guys in this season really, which is kind of sad. Just like Wes's reputation proceeds him as manipulative/untrustworthy etc , franks will follow him too. THey are all seeing this. So he might as well enjoy it now, so i don't really care and he was totally shut down on the aftershow when the "exclusive" scene showed him saying his sole purpose was to get him to punch him, after he had already denied that was his intent. At least Johnny/Kenny/Evan are always laughing and trying to have fun, i'll give them that Frank is all about drama and shouting/arguing. They have all had their moments though.
And before anyone says it: I know that a lot of cast members get along extremely well with them, but that's the same with Frank.
That. I almost feel a vets/rookies game will be a little disappointing, all I see happening is Tyler/Frank/Zach/Jonna/Paula/Johnny staying in power... only this time it would be together :-P I'm a little torn on who to believe between Alton and Frank via the edit, people seem to acknowledge that Alton was hard to live with, however he's always had such a nice guy edit it's just so hard to grasp the concept. I also feel the girls have a few tendencies to justify the political players in the game, (Sarah defending Kenny, Trishelle staying buddies with Knight), and others that called out Alton have had bad judgment in the past (Nany with Adam R). So I'm not sure if they justify Frank because of the new political power he may possess in these games, or if it's because he's really just a good guy given a very exaggerated bad edit. Challenge night, Frank said on Twitter that Alton started the whole thing before i the weight room, and that the footage just left everything about that out. I'm just confused why they would leave that out, because they're not really trying to make Alton look like this amazing good guy this season(?) But in both scenarios, they both had a hand in keeping the fire going, so I guess they're just both to blame. About that mission, if there had still been 8 teams represented, I wonder if they would have had more "Insane Games" to decide the last place team and winners, or if the original chariot race would have made a top 4 and bottom 4 bracket, the winners play the ear game for the top two, then the jousting for the winner, and the losers play the egg game for the bottom 2 then the fish slap for the loser? It would be such a different dynamic if that were the case because 5 teams would only have 2 members, and only 3 teams would have been completely intact!
\ For all those saying frank is worse than JEK they are delusional. They probably would have done the same things to Alton if Alton was a female. JEK Toss around the word retard, dumb ***** all to often. Not to mention the numerous pranks they pull. The possible tooth brush incident? Sending in kelly anne vs Evelyn just for ****s and giggles. So Frank stands up to a man his own size and pushes up on him in a gym and all of a sudden hes so malicious. I'm sure JEK would have done the same thing. I mean hell Knight did a lot worse to Nany, but hes ok because why? Because shes a girl and not our precious Alton, give me a break, Alton was telling the camera that he dealt with it like a yapping puppy dog and didn't give him the time of day. Then started whining about how he didn't want to go to the beach and how he wanted to go home. CT got into Wes's faces and shouted at him for hours on end about slaughtering his family and kicking the **** out of him. Did Wes start whining about CT acting like a kid and try and go home? I hate to say it because I absolutely loathed Frank on his season. I thought he was a disgusting annoying vile piece of crap. But he was right this episode. I mean Alton talked about being amazing (And Alton was amazing and has a great body) but Frank beat him in the race. Frank was carrying probably the heaviest weight on his chariot (Zach) and he beat Alton, and I think he came third overall (he also won that trivia challenge for his team pretty much by himself). knight had the lightest load and barely made it past brooklyn. I didn't really like Dustin on his season, but he has now become one of my favorites, he stood toe to toe with Zach in the oil wrestling and he won the elimination with Nany. And overall I think has a very great relaxed calming simple attitude that is really likable. Frank and Zach baiting Alton...thats up for debate, but they're trying to win money and they're not targeting someone weaker than them or smaller or a rookie, they're targeting a challenge legend. Alton should have been able to deal. Alton should have been able to handle it, but he didn't he broke and that's what they wanted.
THIS! SO MUCH! I couldn't agree more! Thank you for taking the time to type this up.
Frank/Zach/Knight are more or less even with JEK, with one of the major differences being that Johnny and Kenny were actually nice on their first 2-3 challenges, where as Frank/Zach/Knight are being bullies right from the start.
As someone else posted a little earlier my biggest issue with Frank is that I view him as a huge hypocrite. Nearly everything he says and does he ends up going back and trying to say he didn't do it or say it etc. He comes on the aftershow with Alton claiming that he could care less about Alton except months after the show was done filming everyone could plainly see him taking low blows and insulting Alton over twitter. Yeah, you really don't care. IMO Frank lost all credibility with me when he acted the way he did at the beginning of San Diego when he freaked out when Alex had a boyfriend and didn't want him. He then randomly decided after being super obsessed with a female that he was openly gay and that everyone should respect him and everything. It's kind of hard to respect you when you're throwing a temper tantrum like a 5 year old and throwing plants and stuff at walls. I find him to be extremely annoying and fake and he always tries to play the victim when he himself victimizes others. The situation with Alton I will admit was wrong on both their parts not just Franks but overall I think I'd rather see JEK than this squirming piece of trash on my television any day.
Perhaps they didnt do it on purpose, but I think BMP are geniuses, I dont think I have ever seen so many posts defending/clamoring for JEK. After the lawsuit people may not have been so happy to see JEK on their screen, but leave them off for a few seasons, put Frank and Zach on acting like bigger jerks, and we're all wishing for them to come back and kick the rookies *****.
Not all of us.....
Exactly! I can't stand Frank or Zach but I'll take them over JEK ANY day.
Exactly! I can't stand Frank or Zach but I'll take them over JEK ANY day.
I second this
To be honest, neither group really bothers me (anymore). So it's whatever, I don't care.
Are there people out there that don't like Alton AND Frank/Zach? I am watching the after buzz and it seems that it's either one side or the other.
Are there people out there that don't like Alton AND Frank/Zach? I am watching the after buzz and it seems that it's either one side or the other.
That's a good point. I can't actually think of someone at the moment, maybe Camila? Anyway, really enjoyed the episode. I'm so ready for the game to start heating up and getting to see the alliance go against each other. I predict Knight and Jemmye getting out next though.
It is tough to get worse than Johnny on the Island.
The Island was filmed in 2008. Johnny hasn't done anything bad on the show since The Ruins. Let's start talking in the present here. To say that Frank and Zach plotting to antagonize people into hitting them and all the bull **** they talk on twitter isn't nearly as bad as anything JEK has done (throw the Tonya thing out the window) is ridiculous. At worse, they're on even levels of immaturity, but the difference is JEK is funny, and Frank and Zach aren't. I actually like Frank, but the stuff he says on twitter is ridiculous. He tweeted at Heather something like wow you're so brave berating me on social media. It's like dude, A) You do that too and B) You do the same thing on the challenge trying to get into fights with people when you KNOW you're not allowed to fight.

Apart from that it's funny how Frank and Zach get criticized constantly (I can't believe I'm defending them), while Knight got away with his treatment of Nany pretty quickly and easily. And if you prefer to throw the Tonya thing out the window, then I say leave out the twitter stuff, which is not even part of the show.
I stopped taking Frank seriously when he started talking **** about freaking CT on Twitter knowing damn well that little punk will be scared senseless of CT the second he meets him in person. Frank got in Alton's face and talked a big game when Zach and CJ were there to back him up and/or security would have stopped things if Alton ***** smacked him in the face but on the after show he didn't even come close to trying any of that with Alton and Alton called him out on it, too. Frank is a joke, plain and simple. And Zach ? Well, he's just a big dumb brute that acts like he's the best thing since sliced bread when if JEK, Landon, CT, ect. were on this Challenge, he would have been sent into eliminations so many times he would already be gone, period. Oh and Zach's one liners/confessionals are not even remotely funny/entertaining and really are just boring and lame.
Really, all Alton should ask these guys is who they are? And then mention people have actually watched him on TV, unlike them...now that would be funny
I'd say what Johnny did on the Island is comparable to what guys like Knight or Frank have said to Nany and Camila. This is of course, assuming we're only talking about how Johnny berated Ev. I can also see JEK being easy guys to get along with and they also don't take the game so seriously. Frank and Zach appear way too intense to deal with and according to many people, they took everything way too seriously. People have said this especially of Frank.
Frank can say whatever bull **** he wants about alton on twitter because alton doesnt do the social media stuff. He knows he can say anything without reprecussions. Thats also why he is getting bent out of shape with the lv2 cast as they can respond via twitter and just show that frank is a total hypocrite. Its cowardly to talk about someone publicly when you know they will never see it/ respond to it. Say what you want about JEK, but they always looked a man in the eye.
LOL also did anyone catch the aftershow where they showed some of the tweets exchanged between Nany and Frank where he called her a "ratchet hoe"? I'm very curious to see what happened that these two had a huge falling out.
I know Frank and Zach are just LOVING the fact that everybody is comparing them to JEK already on their FIRST challenge.
I know Frank and Zach are just LOVING the fact that everybody is comparing them to JEK already on their FIRST challenge.
I would be ashamed to ever be compared to them. Ever.
I know Frank and Zach are just LOVING the fact that everybody is comparing them to JEK already on their FIRST challenge.
I'm positive that's what they were hoping for.
Been awhile since I posted and I've caught up on a few of the episodes. Thoughts... I'm loving this challenge because we get new faces AND it reminds me of the old challenges more than any recent show. I really really like Dustin. Say what you will, but that was noble as hell of him to volunteer himself purely for Nany. That's what a great person does. So many on these challenges would avoid elimination rounds like it's their death. In fact, one thing I like about this challenge is a lot of people have been willing to face the arena. Brooklyn have been doing it in a really classy way I think. Like many, I can't stand Frank. He's the reason why I stopped watching San Diego 2 because a few episodes in, it was obvious to me he was just about getting attention and camera time. Now everyone loves attention on these shows, but there's something about it being sooo transparent that is not entertaining to watch. That said, I don't mind Frank being on the challenges because I can't wait to see him battle Johnny/Evan/Kenny. The weirdest thing to me about this challenge is the way Alton has behaving. Now I've always thought Alton was a closet jerk, but he's acting crazy. And he used to be one of the best looking guys to ever be on the Real World, what is up with his appearance? I mean, he looks sick in the face. Jeez. I want to say another thing about Frank because he's been bullying Dustin on twitter and barking at Heather. I can't wait to see Dustin smack him in the face. Frank is saying that Dustin is a bad person for dating sa girl on a reality show just to deny his gayness. First of all, I think Dustin/Heather are the real thing. And Frank can't talk because the little I saw of San Diego was him pretending to be in love with one of the girls just because he had problems facing his own sexuality. So he's a hypocrite and a bully. He's just bitter because he probably wants Dustin to be gay. Dustin doesn't seem like the type to start with anyone. Leave the man alone. Even Johnny Bananas had the decency to keep the frat pad bullying to a minimum because he could see Dustin was a good guy. Favorite team: cancun. They are a real family and not a bad team. But I love Devyn from Brooklyn. My favorite rookie. And Jemmye is awesome. Knight still makes me laugh.
I know Frank and Zach are just LOVING the fact that everybody is comparing them to JEK already on their FIRST challenge.
I don't feel like they compare though. (Other than the fact that I never liked Johnny), I thought Kenny and Evan were pretty likable for the most part at first, and when they got fans etc, they were sort of the villains, but they could have pulled off that "villains you love to hate" type of thing. While with Frank, Zach and Knight also, I just dislike them. I don't even think "Oh, they are mean, lemme see what they do next week" as much as I think "They are disgusting, I can't even watch this" and turn off the tv. Honestly, I only survived this episode by fast forwarding Zach's annoying self rightousness, bully-ish ways and Frank's annoying ones.
Oh yes I forgot to mention how much I love the Nany/Dustin friendship. It's really cute and I loved the handshake after they won. I really hope I see these two on another challenge.

I can't stand Frank and Zach, but I still don't think they're as bad as JEK. At least most of the people Frank and Zach are "picking on" are people their own size (Alton, Dustin, Trey, etc.). They go after mostly other "alpha males". Doesn't make it okay, but JEK had no problem putting down ANYBODY, no matter who it was. Not to mention, two of them have allegedly committed sexual assault...
As much as im an EK fan, none of us were there. If it did happen, shame on them and they shouldn't be invited back. Innocent until proven guiliy, IMO. Challenge wise, they entertain me. At least JEK don't harass people outside of the shows and on twitter. Zach and Frank are taking this **** way to seriously to be carrying their antics outside of the show.
