Ugh, that was the worst part. I knew the outcome before I actually watched the show, and I had no idea that Sarah won the quick fire. That dish really does sound revolting and I agree with Ed when he says that Sarah doesn't have the confidence to take the car. She hasn't proved anything when it comes to this show. That's probably why she had never won a quick fire prior to this episode.
So at first they announced four would make the finale. Then, they said only three would make it. Now in the promo, they're saying only two will make the finale?
How long as they going to draw this ******* season out? Get it over with already and give Paul the title, PLEASE!

I'm glad they are doing a final two this year, although it feels as if this season has been going on for years it seems. I don't know the outcome yet, but hopefully the two I'd rather see in the final are the ones that actually make it :D
It does seem like this season has been on too long. It is just dark and boring compared to most seasons. Emeril is the most boringest judge ever. There is no color guy commentary on the panel so Judge's tables are about as exciting as sock shopping.
Just a note: Paul has won 8 of 16 elimination challenges (and 2 of 12 quickfires), the most for any Top Chef. No one else has even come close.
Compare to other seasons winners (not including the finale):
All-Stars: Richard (4/15 eliminations, 4/13 quickfires - 3 team)
DC: Kevin (1/13 eliminations, 1/13 quickfires - team)

Ugh. I just finished watching it and it sounded like Sarah was going to be the one eliminated. Super frustrating. Hoping that Paul can for sure pull off the win. Maybe the judges just wanted to see two people from Texas compete in the finale...
Based on the way they were standing and the way Padema was looking when she called the winner in the preview, I wouldn't presume too much at this point. That has been a giveaway in more seasons than it hasn't been.

I don't know a single person that watches Top Chef that is rooting for Sarah to win. It's definitely something no one really wants to see. In my opinion she should have gone before Chris (the hot one), which was quite some time ago.
Sarah would be a disaster as a Top Chef winner. Molds has laid out the metrics. If this finale is even close, Paul should be the winner. I have a bad feeling about this outcome.
On an positive note, Boston is in the running for the next Top Chef. That could bring positive change. A multicultural menu vs. BBQ for 10 episodes.

BBQ for all those episodes was ridiculous. I've personally never been to Texas, but barbecue isn't something I associate with Texas. I didn't know it was such a huge deal. It seems this has been the only season where the majority of the challenges actually focused on Texas. Definitely annoying if you ask me.

LOL the right chef did win but I wasn't dropping hints. I thought the finale was boring regardless of the winner. I applaud them for mixing it up this season, but it just didn't work for me. The Exes comment was just me being fresh w/you because of your supersized fonts in the cast elimination thread.
