Where can I talk about the new challenge without reading spoilers? Other than the main spoiler, which are the cast members that are already there.
I think this is supposed to be that thread for now.
does anyone know if TJ drinks with the cast ever? or hooks up with any of the chicks?
He's apparently not allowed to do anything with the girls while he's on the show. After the show is finished, well that may be a different story but I've never heard a definitive answer to that.

TJ said on the BS Report on ESPN that he doesn't drink period.
This was a pretty interesting read. "Which Real Worlder is ready for a Challenge?":
If "Rivals" taught us anything about the way "The Challenge" works, it's that things don't always go as planned, and history doesn't always repeat itself. Consummate elimination survivor Aneesa was sent packing straight out of the gate, rookies Leroy and Mike tore through the game like resident pros and Paula Walnuts finally had her moment in the sun after nearly a dozen attempts at a title during seasons past. So who's to say the "Real World: San Diego" greenies won't fare well if and when their time comes to compete? Here are seven arguments as to why each of the seven "RW: SD" housemates could defy the odds and walk away a "Challenge" champion.
Priscilla: First, in terms of social politics, we know Scrills can take a tongue-lashing without letting it get to her (remember Frank's inaugural in-car "Frankout"?). And, as competitors like team Jonna and Jasmine can attest to, being small can sometimes work to one's advantage. Finally, the odds that big bosses Wes or Kenny could look at the girl, lift their jaws off the floor and want to send her home are slim-to-none.
Zach: He's one of the few guys in recent "RW" seasons who could possibly shake up the game in terms of pure physicality. Zach was a college football player at Northern Michigan University, is at the gym more often than not and--as evidenced by his close tie to Ashley--is prepped to handle putting his trust in only one other person. Oh, and that eyebrow-waxing gives him quite the battle stare.
Sam: Beyond the fact that Sam is fearless--she took on Zach, the biggest guy in the house, a handful of times without backing down--she's just too **** likable to be targeted. She's wise beyond her years, grew up in a military family and can hang with the boys. Even the likes of Laurel or Ev wouldn't have an easy time getting rid of this ****** chick.
Nate: While Zach is generally regarded as the sole athlete of the house, it turns out he wasn't the only one who tried his hand at college sports. Nate's jokester ways would likely help him sidestep the first few elimination rounds, and when push finally came to shove, we think he could pull some tricks out of his hat. Plus, he's more than willing to eat really disgusting s***, a beautiful and rare quality.
Ashley: We mean this in the most complimentary way--Ashley doesn't have a ton of emotions, or at least doesn't show them. She's usually got her poker face on, whether she's doing dishes or matching Zach's hours at the gym, and we don't see her being shaken up by much. And, if her fellow competitors know what's good for them, they'll back off the marksman. She didn't miss a beat at her first target practice.
Alex: She may look a little meek, but Alex has done and seen more in her 21 years than most people have in a lifetime. From facing discrimination as the first black gymnast on Zimbabwe's national team to enrolling at Stanford at 15, nothing has knocked the girl off her feet yet, and it doesn't appear anything will anytime soon. No one could outsmart her, and very few could best the core strength the parallel bars call for.
Frank: He may be the most sensitive guy in the house, but that doesn't mean he can't be a jock at the same time. Our studies show that in college Frank used to compete in the...hammer throw? As if being someone who hurls blunt objects for kicks wasn't enough to cement his spot in a "Challenge," Frank gets the "RW: SD" feisty badge, and surely wouldn't go down without a fight, or a good cry.
Physically, I could see Sam having the discipline to do somewhat decent. Alex, I could see as a team's puzzle person. Zach, yea, I think he'd do well in physical challenges. I'd love to see Frank do well too, but the social part of the game would have the potential to be his downfall. This Ashley person, I don't know who she is. :meh:
Aww I love Ashley! It would be nice to see her in a challenge setting but its never going to happen. I can see everyone except Ashley and Alex doing a challenge, although Nate played college football that doesnt mean much in terms of physicality. I know several people I went to high school with that went to play college sports at some jank school, or they sat on the sidelines the whole time, and they just werent that good of athletes. I think Zach could do well, Priscilla would do terrible, Frank may be okay, and I just dont see it in Sam. I think Ashley could be a good competitor, but like I said, we will never know.
As far as the sd cast is considered:
Nate- looks like a good athlete and is really smart plus he has a fun personality so unless he falls to the rookie curse and gets voted in for no good reason like what happened to Brianna.
Zach- obviously a good athlete but I see him not getting along with many people BC of his views especially with gay teammates and I think he will pull a ct and try to force the girls out.
Frank- I see Zach performing well since he was a legit athlete in college and still workout but he will definitely clash with people. I also see him being this season's challenge *****.
Ashley- well we have seen her workout and she was a cheerleader. Honestly the fact she is so willing to run with the guys I think is what really will save her in challenges.
Alex- she is smart and a gymnast. I know from coaching track that gymnasts can be versatile athletes so I think she is fine to compete but I don't think she is cut throat enough.
Priscilla- I just don't see a challenger in her. She is nice but she looks extremely unfit.
Sam- played sports and says she still plays sports today. I see her doing well.
I guess following everyone else's lead, I'll post who I think the this cast will be most similar to in challenges:
Zach- MJ (RW:Philly) I see him being good, but not as good as everyone expects. I don't see him doing very well with the politics aspect, but he will still be a solid competitor.
Nate- Evan (FM) He will also be a solid competitor, because he is smart, big, and strong. He could also be a well-liked competitor because of his sense of humor. I don't see him screwing people over like Evan does though.
Frank- Jeremy (RR:South Pacific) He probably will be a weak, undersized competitor. A player that usually makes it halfway through challenges. Except, Frank will probably be less liked than Jeremy was.
Ashley- Mallory (RW: Paris) She could be probably be an athletic challenger. She just won't make a lasting impact on her team. She'll just fade into the background like Mallory did on The Inferno.
Alex- Jamie (RW: San Diego) She can be a smart, competitive challenger. She can roll with the male competitors and continuously perform well.
Alex- Evelyn (FM) I can see her being a really great competitor. She can also roll with the guys. I see her forming alliances, and winning challenges.
Priscilla- Colie (RW: Denver) She can be a decent competitor. She'd fit in with the other castmembers, but I don't see her outperforming others.

I agree with this 100% OMG
If they film a challenge over the holidays, like thanksgiving for the current one, does BMP send them home for the day?
No, the expense would be prohibitive.
And think this why? I seriously hope its not because of muscle.
Ashley appears to be the only girl who works out and such regularly, not to mention the other 3 girls all look short and skinny, but she seems too dumb to do anything properly. Yeah Alexandra did gymnastics as a kid, but she looks too small to do much good on a challenge.
Frank doesn't look athletic to me so that gets rid of him. Nate played some football in college, but Zach did arena football so he must have some kind of endurance, not to mention sheer strength.

Veronica was small, but she seemed to do just fine on challenges. She did beat Jodi in an elimination.

Yeah, a dancer won a competition that involved balance, go figure.
Yeah, a dancer won a competition that involved balance, go figure.
Jonna, Jasmine, Evelyn, Ruthie, Kim, and I'm sure a few others I can't remember are all small too. Look at the wonders that especially Ruthie and Evelyn have done. Even Katie has been a firecracker in elimination rounds. With the right training, Alex could potentially do really well.
I think it's a bit stupid to assume that Zach is going to do extremely well on those challenges. Some have even said that he might be the next CT. I mean, look at Vinny. He seems to work out a lot and still he hasn't got very far. And on the earlier challenges there was Laterrian, who also worked out a lot. But he sucked on every challenge he was on.

Vinny/Laterrian weren't 6'4, weighed 220+ pounds, nor did they ever play college football (I don't know how far he went in Arena football since I can't find much on it). Sure he may suck at things, but he just seems to have the athleticism and pure strength to do well in these things based on what he's apparently done. Here are some random stats of his that I don't know how to translate at all, but they appear to be pretty good from what I can tell.

Yeah I saw that on his college profile and thought that was very impressive. You can check out the fresh meat 2 guys 40 yard dash times on the Boot Camp episode, and Zach's time is slightly better than Noor's. However, Zach is 6'3 220 lbs and can run a 4.75. Also, a 22 for the bench reps is really impressive. Overall, Zach has the raw athleticism to do really well in challenges, but we'll never know for sure until we see him in one.
Also, Nate is 6'0 220 according to his profile.

I think it's stupid to assume anyone will do good or bad on the challenges when they haven't been on one yet.

I think the equalizer however is that a lot of people with impressive 40's have horrible miles because they have no endurance like is required in typical finals. Its not always a great barometer as some people are better in short bursts and short time frames than they are down the road. Nate also just doesn't strike me as someone who could do well in any sort of longer distance competition as he looks like he is carrying a lot of weight for his height. Bet I wouldn't stand a chance arm wrestling either of them, but I could hang with them on a mile or in the pool.

No, that is on the lower end of average. For someone at 220 to have an impressive bench press at 225, should be in the 30 reps.

True but then we wouldn't be here, :p

In most cases, it won't matter how fast they run the mile, because there will always be a girl that is slower than them that they have to wait for. In these challenges now a days, its mostly about heart, intelligence and size and less about Endurance. There haven't been many eliminations that were solely based on endurance recently similar to Deadman's Drop on Gauntlet 1.

Which is a shame in my opinion. These are usually more based on mental power and will usually give the underdogs a chance too.

My opinion:
Sam- scrawny. Unless by sheer luck or puzzle toss up will not be victorious in elimination.
Priscilla- we already have seen on current filming challenge. Didn't really stand a chance.
Alex- could be okay if tied with the right male. Must be a strong veteran male for her to make it to finals. Or maybe if working with zach.
Ashley- would beat mandi in an elimination. If facing later eliminations against the tougher girls will almost certainly be sent home.
Zach- will be feared. Will be a target. Will be up to him to stay on the game by winning challenges. Will probably be among the top male competitors.
Nate- In the middle ground. Likeability can work in his favor for not being sent in until middle of game.
Frank- not exactly sure. Such a time bomb.
