I really hope they do a Duel 3 and have a totally fresh cast no vets like JEK, Wes, and Paula. They should do what they did for the Duel 1 and very little big name vets because in Duel 1 the biggest names were CT, Derrick, Tina, and Beth. The rest of the cast was "newbies" who now have a shot to run a challenge and what happened The Duel 1 was the most watched season ever. So what they should do is have a fresh and fun cast to capitalize on the Rivals success.
I wonder if the Duel 1 was so successful because there were newbies or if it was because the Challenge had a brand new, exciting show format? Island was too much like Survivor imo, Ruins could have been good but do people want to see winners vs. losers?, and Cutthroat I personally liked so not sure why it got bad ratings.
Rivals didn't have a ton of newbies, really just 4, but it was a pretty interesting new format, pitting enemies together to compete for a lot of money. That could have attracted new viewers who didn't know much about the cast so really wouldn't know that a majority of the rivals squashed their beef.
Hehe, CT seems to be the popular consensus must-have cast member. I'll be glued to the next season if he comes back because he brings in the right amount of drama and competitiveness to the challenge. Well that, and I'd like to see him win.
I know people seem to hate all the partying and drinking stuff, but I love the RW aspects. I probably look forward to the drama and hooking up more than I do the actual competitions. I love seeing old cast members mix and mingle. I haven't watched the past couple of seasons of RW, so I'd love to see old cast members.
I'd prefer cast members with some baggage mixed in with some fun people too. I'm also a big JEK hater, but they're great to hate on during the challenges. I like rooting against them, but it does have its drawbacks when they win. No to Casey and Mandi, and thank goodness Jenn isn't coming back. I've seen every single one of these challenges since the beginning, and I honestly can't remember most of the people who have participated unless they had big drama during the challenges, sigh. Jonna and Jasmine were pretty bleh for me this season, I don't think I'd care to see them back. Mike and Leroy are fun, but they don't bring enough drama for me. I know people like them for that, but like I said, I prefer drama >.<
I also agree to whoever said that they'd like to having people compete individually. I always pick someone to root for during these challenges but it's always a conflict because inevitably there's always some jerk wad teamed up with the person I want to win. If I can't root for anyone, then I don't really follow as closely.
I think next year (2012) will be the 20th anniversary of The Real World since his first season in New York in 1992.

Maybe we can call a ''Battle Of The Era''.

That's a great Idea. I wish bmp would atleast try to do something like this.
And I like how you don't have that many fresh meat on your list.

That's an amazing list! I would definitely be down to watch that. I'd like to see the alliances, who will stick together, especially since the older cast knows the game just as it is. Ahhh, you didn't add the original queen b, Emily Bailey from Usa-Road Rules: Second Adventure, but otherwise this is an amazing list! Good job. Also, I'm happy that you didn't add Adam Larson, seriously well done.
i think a few of the people you cant consider newschool. abram was on gauntlet 1 as his first challenge i believe, dave also i believe. i feel like there needs to be a cut off challenge wise like anyone who has done there first challenge as battle of the sexes 2 the first challenge repeated or on is new school or something. also some of those people are in wheel chairs by now so you might need to find some mroe able bodied old school people lol. its a great idea though im all for it, good job.
I'm pretty sure everybody is tired of the same alliances and same people winning. Why can we just have a challenge where nobody has won any at all?

I think there will be a challenge in the future with no previous winners/champions, but no telling what the cast will be.
I'd like to see Mike & Leroy (again), Nany and Dustin.
I don't mind CT, Kenny, Evelyn or Cara Maria coming back. Mandi & Jenn plz stay the f home! ugh.
Brad, Darrell, Coral, Abram, Johanna would be interesting to see as well...

No not really. The 1st seasons of the Gauntlet and the Inferno were Real World vs Road Rules. There's no traditions.
Besides I wanted to Change it up a bit.
I hope they do another Duel season with a fresh cast no long time vets
I have zero interest in a Duel with no vets. I want to see powerhouses up against powerhouses. There has been so much debate about who the best players of all time are, and one of the best ways to put some of those arguments to rest would be to have a stacked Duel cast. If they continue with the format in which the last player picked gets to choose their opponent, then I want it to be a difficult decision every single time. No easy way out for anyone. Arranging a Duel for just rookies would be a waste of an opportunity as far as I am concerned, especially if the next season ends up being the last. I wouldn't mind a mostly rookies cast if it was a team challenge, though.

Exactly, a duel season with just rookies would probably get very low ratings aswell. They need veterans to keep viewers interested.
Duel 3
Winners of daily challenges are safe from the Duel. Losers automatically get sent in. They get to call out anyone but the winners from that day. I understand a duel is one on one, but I liked the final with three competitors in it, more exciting. But no more partners needed on the new Duel, it is all about you and your ability to compete by yourself. 11 duel elimination rounds, with three making the finals.

I know nothing about Zach or Ashley, but honestly I haven't watched RW since Cancun. So I don't really know much about Ashlee, Cooke, Nany or Knight either. I just wanted a few rookies around. 12/28 have done 2 or less challenges (only one has done 2-Camila, while five have done 1, with 6 being completely new to the challenges). I'd love to see Jillian and Frank again, but I prefer them on a team challenge.

I think that this is very realistic and would be a great way of seeing who really is "the best". I'd love to see a challenge like this.

That's what I was going for, because I wonder who of the older challengers would realistically come back for one? I thought these competitors would be down and that they are all pretty strong challengers (and for the newer ones, I picked some who have sports backgrounds- Knight(hockey), Zach(football), Cooke(soccer), Ashlee(basketball); and then Nany for drama(she seems fiery), and Ashley because she is a model, probably tall which can be an advantage).
But thanks :victory:, I'd love to see this too!!

The Duel 1 was filled with rookies and it was amazing.

None of them are in the same athletic condition as they were five years ago with Duel 1 filmed. They've all either bulked up or in Evan's case gotten out of shape. They're all different competitors now and I think it'd be interesting to see them all prove themselves.
But How many times can we see the same **** people go up against each other?
I know right, even with a Duel there are so many variables that would hinder any accurate result as to who's the best. Wes won Duel 1, does that mean he's better than CT and Brad? No. Evan won Duel 2, does that mean he's better than Landon, Mark, and Brad? No.
None of them are in the same athletic condition as they were five years ago with Duel 1 filmed. They've all either bulked up or in Evan's case gotten out of shape. The only thing that really changed is their status in the game and their political gaming. Kenny was a runner back on FM, he was just mediocre on missions and eliminations. As far as im concerned he's still not impressive in missions and eliminations but great at finals 'cause for the most part all they do is run. CT is still a beast, he was on Duel 1, G3, Duel 2, and Rivals, so it's not gonna change on Duel 3. I think Johnny and Tyler the only ones that has really improved both physically and politically. All of this is my opinion of course lol. I just don't think it'd be as epic as everyone's making it out to be.
But How many times can we see the same **** people go up against each other?
IMO, not until there is a RW cast that is worth watching on a challenge. RW: Back to Las Vegas did well and hence, it was a good move to put Leroy and Mike/Adam who were fan favourites on the challenge.... but I think the last RW I watched (before B2LV) was probably RW: Sydney.
I think they shouldn't cast the same people and the same cast (AKA- Kenny and Wes, Paula, Jenn, etc) all the time... but I also don't want to see many newer RW people because I don't know them. Some is okay, just like 1 from JEK is tolerable, but all 3 together makes a challenge annoying, so I think casting a lot of Newbies would be annoying.
Also, I don't think they should cast any old schooler alone... they should cast them in bulk because they get taken out early on the recent challenges (like Aneesa and Robin on Rivals, like Veronica and Syrus on the Ruins, Coral on the Gauntlet 3). I want to see one where the oldies actually stands a chance and doesn't have to bow to the mob.
The Duel 1 was filled with rookies and it was amazing.

Definitely, with this cast I have Landon and C.T. getting 1st and 2nd. And for the ladies Evelyn getting 1st and maybe a shocker at 2nd: Emily. I think she could beat out Laurel.

This is how I feel too, I don't know how they have been doing, but if the recent RW seasons are doing well then I could see casting more newbies. But if people didn't watch them or like them on RW, why would they watch them do a challenge? I like rookies who come in, stand up for themselves and compete well. I'm not as big on the drama, which is why I am on and off with watching RW, I like the athletic parts of the challenges.
And I agree about the old schoolers too, give them a chance to do well!
Which leads me to wonder if it is the show format itself that gets better ratings, by that I mean something new and exciting, like The Duel 1 and Rivals were.
I think it's the mixture of new format and some fresh faces that gets people exited. At least for me anyways, The Duel, Cutthroat, and Rivals were all really good. D2, FM2, I3, G3 weren't so good. The Ruins could've been amazing if they made the format reasonable, People who win vs people who lose, i wonder who's gonna win that challenge... haha But it had a great cast though.

That's not necessarily true, it's all about the individual personalities and what they are like on the challenge. Jasmine and Jonna were my least favorite Cancun girls, i muted the tv everytime they came on lol. So by your logic i should've hated seeing them on Rivals but quite the contrary. They were my favorite girls team. Whereas my Cancun favorites Ayiiia, Derek, and Emilee were irrelevant on Cutthroat. I really don't care to see them on any other challenge.
I agree with the old schoolers though, that's why i think they should cast a challenge with a mixture of newbies (2 challenges or less) and oldies (Appeared on pre-fresh meat challenges). That would be an interesting mix imo.
