Why do they make the finals so insane and intense? Honestly, I don't think they should make the final so grueling, it could be very dangerous. I just think they should take it down a notch.
I know and its sad because they're not making that much money for all that torture they're doing to their body. Espeically the team that comes.n 3rd
I've lurked on vevmo for a few challenges now, and I love reading all the threads. I just wanted to post how amazing that jungle was. One of the best I've seen, at least since Wes/Derrick in the duel.
I was a fan of Wes in Fresh Meat // Duel, if for nothing else, his ability to survive. I'm sad I rooted for him, I know it's reality tv with money and all, but he's just a terrible human being.
I loved how Rivals centered around CT, and everyone's goal of getting rid of him. He's a monster. I thought I would check out if he and Adam lost, but I find myself just as excited to watch the final as ever. I don't know why they changed location so many times. It didn't really do anything for me as the viewer, and it doesn't seem very cost effective for a show on the brink of cancellation.
Anyway, I really hope they continue doing the challenges, they've been my guilty pleasure for some time now. It's the only reality tv I've ever committed to.

"Like".
I love these challenges to death (excluding The Infernos 2-3 and FM 2). I loved this challenge but the centering around CT took up half the show. But even though this season had a meh kind of cast it was still good. From vets Robin and Aneesa losing mad early to Jonna and Jasmine taking out tattooed-Sarah and Katelynn it was just all around awesome. Another good challenge. Hopefully this concept gets a sequel.
I enjoyed Rivals a lot, but I don't want a sequal format. A lot of these pairings were a stretch, so unless they had one where all the teams legit hated each other, which they could possibly do but it would have to be perfect casting with all yes's. Some would be from the past as well. That is hard to get that together.
Rivals was a lot of fun and a great concept, but I would be cool with anything from a Duel, Inferno, Gauntlett, Cutthroat. Really Anything but the island and this unless they changed how it was played somehow.
Funny you guys say this is the one reality show you can get into, I feel the exact same way. I never watched Survivor or American idol or any of those shows. But I love and watch all these challenges. Watching them on their season you feel like you know stuff about them, and you really can root for them on the challenges. It's like a "where are they now" but they also get to play a game mixed with sports and drama aspects. I know Fresh Meat and all came too, but still. Something about this really works.
Kind of pathetic that the Jungle was THAT close at the end despite the fact that Adam had to make three extra trips back and forth
How is it pathetic? Tyler did the same thing as Adam (got his team member's ball and had to make the extra trips), so initially they were even. CT finished first, Johnny finished right after, and then it was a face between Adam and Tyler. I say that's a pretty even race, not at all "pathetic".
CT and Johnny have carried their respective teams for the most part, and I think both of them deserved the final.
The Jungle was built for speed, strength, and communication/teamwork... all things CT and Adam have.
Tyler and Johnny aren't fast and they're not nearly as strong as CT.
I wouldn't be surprised if CT/Adam's challenge was rigged and their rope was hitting the water purposely just for them to lose and go into a Jungle, that specific Jungle.
CT's a monster and that Jungle was built for one.
Love conspiracy theories :)
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that while I was watching the Jungle that Johnny and Tyler were the first ones through the middle. I'm 99% sure that Johnny was the first one. They clearly aren't as strong as CT, but I'm not sure that CT is all that fast, or Adam for that matter.
I think Johnny and Tyler are clearly the more balanced team in terms of speed, strength, and teamwork, actually the most balanced team in the whole competition.

Unless you're talking about the elimination round specifically.

I think that they were even until that elimination round, like I said, they were the best balanced team, as reflected by their 3 challenge wins and their Jungle win against their biggest competition. I think Johnny is actually smarter, and he's clearly better at following directions lol. He's actually pretty well-spoken and witty, more-so than what people give him credit for.

The Jungle should have been a cake walk for Adam/CT, Adam got 3 or 4 of the wrong balls and had to run back a bunch of times, Tyler got 1 wrong ball. If Adam hadn't of messed up as much as he did, they would have dominated

Johnny and Tyler were still faster until they got plowed by CT, they both were faster than the other two from the get-go, that's all I was pointing out.
He didn't get 3 or 4 wrong balls. He got 1 wrong ball, then got another of his, had to put his back, and then put the other wrong ball back. Probably an extra 30 yards of running compared to Tyler's extra 20 yards.
I'm not arguing that CT probably would've won without Adam, but it wasn't a cake walk either way. They both screwed up and they both were really close. I still think Johnny/Tyler are the better TEAM, even though CT is stronger.

Agree. Someone finally spells it out! :) Adam messed up more than just once, Tyler only messed up once. With how close it was EVEN with Adam messing up 3-4 times, Tyler did terribly. Johnny got hit and still way before those Adam and Tyler.

Thank you! ;)
Interesting how every team/person Evelyn supported (wore the team color/jersey) in a Jungle won, even when they were the underdogs--Kenny/Wes against Brandon/Ty, Jonna/Jasmine against Sarah/Katelynn, Cara Maria/Laurel vs. Jonna/Jasmine, and again in the final. Guess if you want to win, you should have Evelyn on your side...even her moral support is beastly!

That is a cool bit of information, thanks!! I hadn't even noticed, but ya Ev can help will your team win haha. That's how good she is!! Only partially joking lol :wink2:
It's not fair to say Tyler is terrible. I think Adam is just REALLY fast. In the Duel he smoked the **** out of Danny, the speed wasn't even close. In another challenge he had to climb a net and scaled it like an insect, unfortunately for him he was going up against Superman Alton who flew up the net. Adam is small not very strong but he is very fast and usually smart. Just so happened he fell apart mentally and lost the game.

Fast against Danny in gauntlet 3, final male elimination and against Alton in Gauntlet 2 and yeah they both flied up the net. I loved TJ's comment there: I had no idea somebody could climb the net as fast as you (adam).. let alone you!! (alton)
Back on topic, I think what Adam told CT in the club was good. CT is trying to be his friend but it shows Adam was still struggling with all the things that happened, instead of just ignoring CT everytime he asks: We buddies yet? He now just told him that he hasn't forgotten about everything that happened.

I know right? Go Ev with your bad self
Can someone please tell me how Johnny and Ev came to be friends all of the sudden? I mean, she didn't just congradulate him, she sprinted up to him and jumped on him on the floor (that sounds bad...). But seriously, why do they never show any communication between them?
I think they just want to keep Johnny as more of the "bad guy", when in actuality, like CT, I think he's turned everything around. He's still outspoken, as Bananas should be, but like I said before, I think Bananas is a good guy.

Ev said on her ustream thing with Cara and Laurel that she still doesn't like Johnny. She also said that her and Evan were never and will never be friends and that she also doesn't like Derrick. The only member of JEK she had positive things to say about was Kenny and it was really only her agreeing with the things Cara and Laurel said about him, nothing unprompted.
I also like Johnny a lot and it seemed like the two of them were at least civil on this challenge...but apparently the dislike is still there.
Wait when during it did she say she doesn't like Derrick? I know she said that she hates Johnny and that's why she voted for him (hence how I don't get the whole jumping all over him thing), but that's all I recall.
I think you guys over analyze some things, in this challenge they're in the same alliance because of Wes and Paula, her alliance member won so she congratulated him. Doesnt really mean they're bffs. And yeah there was a question that asked if she liked Derrick and she said no.
Are they really dragging this final challenge over an episode and a half? Come on now, that's a little ridiculous!
I actually kind of like the idea it's something new we'll see how they play it out though.
Are they really dragging this final challenge over an episode and a half? Come on now, that's a little ridiculous!
How can you say it ridiculous until you see the final episode? I'm probably the most extreme critic of BMP's editing who posts here, but I would not pre-judge the episode without leaks from production to know what I was talking about.
I actually kind of like the idea it's something new we'll see how they play it out though.
There have been otherseasons of the challenge that have had final challenges last more than one episode. Unlike this season, however, they occured with dramatic cliffhangs (i.e. Coral's spider bite from G1).
Are they really dragging this final challenge over an episode and a half? Come on now, that's a little ridiculous!
Agree, very annoying. I thought they would drag out the drama in this episode because the elimination round was dragged out for a while! It's annoying when they start something and then put the "to be continued..."

Just out of curiosity, would you guys/gals mind if it were more like a 2 hour finale? I know it killed me that we had to wait a week and I personally would have loved a 2 hour finale. I like longer episodes when they show more of what happens, I think it is pretty cool.
I don't mind the stretching it out between two episodes, but with how long this final apparently is, they should have shown more this episode instead of stretching out some of the pointless drama for 2 minute scenes with so many commercials. I don't know if there were more or longer commercials, but it sure felt like it this episode.

A 2 hour episode wouldn't of been necessary, BMP focused WAY to much of the episode on the elimination round for a reason, so they can drag out the finale. Cutting the elimination and then adding 15 minutes to the episode probably could have gotten the job done

I agree, definitely could have put more of the final in, maybe even something that isn't shown at all that the competitors still had to do.
Two episode finale means more time to watch the challenges so no complaints here I don't want to hurry to finish this season.
Good point, I do love watching the challenges so I guess another week isn't too much to wait. But I was so excited for the final right then and there, now not so much but still looking forward to it.

Maybe not necessary, but I do hear some things are left out from the final that the competitors had to do. So I don't mind having an extra hour (or 45 minutes) of the final, means less is left out. But I suppose what I'm getting at is whether the issue is because it is a to be continued next week? Would it not have been so bad if they had it back to back the same night? Or is the problem you have that they stretched it out pointlessly and the extra time isn't necessary? I underlined what your answer likely is, just wanted to make my question clear though. I'm just saying I don't mind watching an extra episode, it just sucked because I had to wait a week to see it.
