I had to give different points due to times. Since Jonna/Jasmine did get 1st (safety) due to their speed so their points should be higher than Aneesa/Robin. If time wasn't a factor, I would've given them the same amount of points.

I meant that you can't give the first place guys team a higher school than the first place girls team because they aren't really competing against them. They are all competing with just their gender and that would probably be the fairest way to do it.

So how come you gave the first place for men a different score than the first place for the women? I would think it went like 1st place for each genders = 10 pt, 2nd place 8 points etc. I'm kinda confused with your way TBH.

Because the 1st place men got 15 hashmarks. 1st place women got 13 hashmarks. I scored it EXACTLY like Battle of the Sexes 1.
It's unfair to give somebody the same points as another team if they did MUCH better.
1st place overall gets 13, 2nd place overall gets 12...etc. It's to see who's the strongest pair.

Agree with this ^. I don't get how you can be doing strongest pairs, when as previously stated the competition is just gender specific. Guys vs. Guys & Girls vs. Girls- I'm curious why you think it's relevant to even compare the two when they don't compete against each other at all?

I doubt it, V1man said that she was not planning to. But i'm sure V1man will say something on the subject and I belive he already has but I cant remember what he last said.
How many challengers still blog? I read Beth's commentary about Gauntlet II a while back, and I really liked it. I feel many would stop blogging due to strategy in the game (for the ones that care to win).

The 1st Episode was great.
I really liked the fact that the Vegas Men and the Cancun Ladies won the 1st challenge. It's good to see the Rookies get kicking *** right out the gate.

I don't see any harm in what Laurel was doing. She was just saving her own *** and playing the game from the start. I also hope that that the bandwagon stuff doesn't last.
Why the hell are there gonna be 6 teams at the end? I really think it should be 4. They need to eliminate this 1st 2nd 3rd place crap and just make it a Final 2 where the only team that makes money is the one who gets to the finish line 1st.

Which is why it doesn't really work here because in Battle of the Sexes it was literally men vs. women. With this format it's not and you are only facing the same gender when it comes to competition. It really doesn't matter whether CT and Adam beat any girl pair. More than likely a male team will outshine a female team in any physical challenge.

Same here, I was hoping the web content would be similar to dailies but they don't put anything up, I hope there is the **** they should've shown this season. Even though I want to see strategy talk more than people just getting drunk.

In short, it takes resources for BMP to do dailies -- and a continuous level of effort costs money. MTV has to pony up the $$$ to compensate BMP for their work. If MTV, before the start of Rivals had not made up its mind about renewing the series, then there is no reason to pay BMP for dailies. Save the cash to pay Snookie's outrageous salary. Viacom's stockholders with short-term profit demands really don't care about about what fans may want.

No kidding, All mtv ever shows is teen mom, 16 & pregnant and jersey shore and teen wolf reruns. I perfer to watch the challenge, real world and true life those are qaulity shows

Well True Life airs pretty frequently and Rivals got a good amount of replays earlier in the week. They never re-air any old seasons of RW/RR/C though, which I think they should since it'd at least be something different.

Yeah, and I feel like I'm going through withdrawal. The dailies kinda spoiled us, in that we had clips of it everyday throughout the week, so it didn't feel like we were waiting a whole week for the next episode.

I used to really like watching the Dailies, until I realized that most, if not all, of the Dailies are thrown into the episode close to 90% of the time.
I would much rather be waiting in anticipation for a new episode that I haven't seen and also have a s#!t they could have shown full of clips I haven't seen than sit through an entire episode just to see what few parts they added besides the actual physical challenge.

For example, the Laurel-Eric fight - when I saw the dailies clip, I saw that Eric said a lot of *** to her, too, and that's why the argument escalated the way it did. True, and I hope that's what they will do with the web exclusives (or whatever they're calling them) this season. But seeing all of that stuff in an extra show would still suffice for me.

I like seeing the unedited fights/arguments too. I was hoping they'd put an unedited clip of Adam punching Ty as an exclusive clip. Was looking forward to some CT dailies, this would've been his first season :( (excluding the fight dailies from Duel 2 of course).
