I was thinking the same, with both Cara Maria and Laurel being tall (not sure about CM though), they would have had an advantage in this one, but I wondered if the elimination rounds are set, or they change them based on the people in them.
I wondered the same thing, but I think they pick them based on who's going in. Which is much better btw, because you want it to be even and exciting.

Cara Maria really isn't super tall and this elimination was more about balance, and pushing evenly against your partner. It would have been very awkward for those two.
May be so, but the height would have probably played an advantage, seeing as Ev, Aneesa and Robin were all stretched out early on.
Their arms were stretched, but their bodies were completely bent. They would have been better off to keep their bodies straight and lean forward. And I actually did something like this; I'm not just talking out of my ***.
I thought it was funny that Ty decided to go by Tyrell this challenge
I don't care which cast member posts at Vevmo. I respect Laurel b/c she's a good competitor and she's earned the right to talk ***, IMO, whereas Katelynn hasn't. Why Katelynn chose to involve herself in a matter that didn't concern her is beyond me.
So trying to sway which teams go into an elimination round doesn't concern me? Interesting, and here I thought I was competing in this challenge too..
I like Katelynn, btw, I just think she needs to step up and prove herself before she starts talking all this crap about more experienced challengers, especially in situations that don't concern her.
I wasn't "talking crap", I was pointing out the hypocrisy in Laurel's words. Laurel has strutted her stuff like she's the greatest thing to happen to these challenges since the show's inception. Aneesa said that Laurel was playing dirty, Laurel's response was "we need a great team to try and take out Evelyn". If you are going to proclaim yourself top ***** of the challenge, you shouldn't hide behind another team when it comes time to get your hands dirty. I'm really amazed at how you can still think that elimination politics doesn't "concern me". Just because you may find me to be irrelevant doesn't mean I don't have as much of a right to voice myself when it comes time for politics as someone "more experienced". As an aside, I find the "experienced" vs. "inexperienced" / "vet" vs. "rookie" diatribe to be tired and full of ****. It's just an excuse or justification for some people to play ostrich.
I thought it was funny that Ty decided to go by Tyrell this challenge
I don't think it was his choice. There are 3 different Ty's this season. I remember on Inferno 3, on Abram's shirt it said "Abe" but he's said many times that he likes to go by Abram.

Did anyone else even try to get her and CM to go in that time, or was the deliberation basically as straightforward as they showed on TV?

Good to see you posting here again Katelynn but you should know that, this being the internet, logic is often looked at and treated as kryptonite. Posts are more time than not going to fall into the "A sucks, B rules" variety. But those of us who don't fall into that category apperciate you stopping by with your insight. Just read the recap over at TVGasm and the line of the recap was: "CT is happy they let him out of his cage, and says that everyone is still the same except that Evan looks pregnant. Oh ****, you guys, Kenny’s gonna be a daddy. I’m a little surprised, though, since I thought Evan wore the pants in that relationship" I couldn't help to snicker to myself that if Zito had done this challenge he may have treated the hand holding required in this event the same as gondola ride in Vegas
Ty is a ******* idiot. "Adam started talking to me in a way that I really didn't appreciate." but you know... telling a girl she has cellulite is totally okay!
Ty is a ******* idiot. "Adam started talking to me in a way that I really didn't appreciate." but you know... telling a girl she has cellulite is totally okay!
Only if it's Laurel ;)
Ty is a ******* idiot. Anyway I just ant to say I like this elimination round alot but its realy scary thoughto be honest. I mean Aneesa and Robin had this. But I'm sick of Aneesa complaining though she' better than that. And the previews this season were pathetic they showed most of the missions and little drama.
So him saying that to any other girl is worse than to Laurel?
Until the other girls say half the things she did on Cutthroat, yes.
Until the other girls say half the things she did on Cutthroat, yes.
Well by that standard, CT deserves to be punched, poured drinks on, pushed and injured.
Well by that standard, CT deserves to be punched, poured drinks on, pushed and injured.
Couldn't agree more! :D
Couldn't agree more! :D
I'm personally a firm believer on not wanting/looking forward to horrible things happening to someone just cause they did something bad, so I'm not on the same bandwagon with ya :P I think Ty was out of place no matter who he said it to (and I don't think CT should be injured also). Which brings me to my question, someone asked this earlier, but I'm just confirming, did CT say his brother was killed and he (meaning CT) was shot in the back or his brother was killed as a result of being shot in the back? I thought it sounds like he said that he (CT) was shot. I am sorry to hear that happened tho, but I hope it keeps helping him stay sober and centered.
Yes, so happy he told Laurel that!! What goes around comes around!!
Well by that standard, CT deserves to be punched, poured drinks on, pushed and injured.
At least he apologized and doesn't justify it, and is trying not to act like that. Like omg on that last podcast she was saying that she didn't care and will not apologize for anything and is still acting like a *****. I am curious to see what Paula said to her and to see if she deserved it. I still don't get the whole Eric thing, she said all that to him because he didn't let her sit with him?
Which brings me to my question, someone asked this earlier, but I'm just confirming, did CT say his brother was killed and he (meaning CT) was shot in the back or his brother was killed as a result of being shot in the back? Even MTV was confused because they said his brother was shot and CT was shot in the back, but MTV always has typos.

The Laurel/Eric thing I have no idea anymore and I let it go and don't hate Laurel because of it. Plenty of the guys are cocky jerks, she is just over confident. I don't approve at all with the Eric thing but Laurel says that they edited out a lot, but she was still at fault. Maybe the mods know the whole story better but she seemed sorry, but she seemed like she was taking all the fault and he wasn't which she is either in denial, or he did something too. She seems sorry but also she says she can be a real ****** if you f with her, so which is it? Based on how Eric was acting on the reunion, I believe he had a part in it too, but Laurel def was out of line. Laurel is bad at explaining herself for sure, which she either is bad at covering her lies, or just bad at being modest I am not sure. I don't mind Laurel, I respect her game and physical ability. It's good to see women like Ev/Laurel who can compete at a high level and back up their talk. I like to see the best athletes win in the end, so for that reason I hope she goes far. Ty said on episode 1 he wished every guy would hit him so they would have to go home, so if Ty is making up a reason why he was starting stuff, he is lying. He wanted him to punch him. They said on the podcast if you come to his "area" in the house he will go off on you, but yet all the girls always did and were always crying. It sounds like the guy just looks for trouble, and enjoys conflict. Adam's punch was prob the weakest punch I have ever seen. They even said so on the podcast, and my initial thought watching it was wow, that was the big punch Adam threw? I guess after seeing Darell/CT get thrown off for real beatdowns, this seemed extra weak. Not that I condone it, just saying.
Love how Laurel dominates the game, and it's her 3rd challenge! I love how everyone said she could take out Ev. I think Laurel & Emily from DC are the only ones that could beat Ev, and maybe Rachel (Road Rules).
Not really sure she dominates...but I am more sure that one on one with Ev, I would put money on Ev.

(Making fun of him) Eric: What's that back acne? Laurel: Fat, virgin, ugly, red head, no one likes you, etc. Oh and Shauvon was there being an idiot so that might not have helped.

He also said good to see you can distinguish colors lol whatever she seemed very drunk, but you could clearly see that he was getting upset and she kept going. Looking forward to Laurel acting like a ***** part 2, Cara Maria mentioned it a little bit, she said other things happened that night so let's see if it's all edited out too. But come on it doesn't look good when you act like that twice, it's either every one picks on Laurel or she's just a *****.
