Is Richmond covering for Gwen?
It has to be someone in the campaign.
Loe this show, totally think Mireille Enos deserves an emmy nod for best actress in a drama. What do you think?
Wow, crazy ending!!
And we never find out who the killer is...that sucks. Unless it was Holder?
EDIT: Seriously, they're not revealing it until season 2??

Ugh, so ******. I wanted answers!!! I seriously think Gwen is involved somehow. Great ending though. Just a guarantee we'll all be back next season.

I'm very frustrated that it turned out that way.
I feel like I just wasted 13 hours of my life.
I also find it extremely interesting that the creator of the show did not have an alternate ending in case the show did not get renewed.
However:
TVLINE | Fair enough. Can you say whether Rosie’s murder will be solved in Season 2?
We will solve the investigation of who murdered Rosie Larsen in season 2, and there will also be a second case that will emerge next season. But I can’t tell you when exactly either will happen.
TVLINE | Just to clarify, when you say the investigation will be solved — does that mean the real killer will be caught?
[Laughs] I’m sorry. Yes, the killer will be revealed. All will be revealed about who murdered Rosie Larsen. [Laughs] I wasn’t trying to parse words.
I just got through. Tonight has been the night of frustration.
I get that they were always going for season 2, but come on...
For all those people that bailed on this show, you were right. It was a waste of time.
I'm still livid about the ending.
I'm certainly not happy about it. Can you imagine if the series hadn't been renewed? We would have never figured out who killed Rosie.
I mean, I figured the whole point of a season like this was to wrap it up in one season. It detracts from the "Who killed Rosie Larsen?" tag that they revolved the ENTIRE ******* SHOW around.
And now...of course, I'll have to watch to figure out who actually killed her. But if it takes more than two episodes? I'm out.
This sums up how I feel: 'The Killing' season finale: Wait till next year
Count me in with those ****** off about the ending!!! I KNEW it wasn't going to be wrapped up that nicely. As Linden was getting on the plane to take off I was thinking "What? What's going to happen now?"
Holder??? I really don't want him to be a "bad guy". My first thought was that he just fudged the photo so they'd have something solid to go on, though it was a stupid thing to do.
It's been so long since the first season ended, I swear I'll have to go back and watch season 1.
Last year, AMC’s The Killing launched one of the most talked-about and fumed-over mysteries TV has seen in awhile, one which could be summed up in a question: “Who killed Rosie Larsen?” The new season of the acclaimed drama, premiering April 1, promises to reveal who murdered the artsy-dreamy-troubled Seattle teen, whose body was found stuffed in the trunk of a drowned car – plus quite a bit more. That’s the implicit message in the cable network’s new ad campaign for the show. Your first look at the key art:

“When we thought about the second season, we wanted something moody and beautiful and vaguely unsettling,” says Linda Schupack, AMC’s head of marketing. “This is a cop drama unlike other cop dramas, so our approach to the key art was to be as distinctive as the show itself.” The second season will again showcase Detective Sarah Linden (Mireille Enos, who earned an Emmy nomination for her performance last season), whose emotionally-charged quest to get justice for Rosie is aided (and possibly being subverted) by her partner, Detective Stephen Holder (Joel Kinnaman). But the ad suggests there’s still more to learn about Rosie’s grieving parents (Emmy nominee Michelle Forbes as the mother; Brent Sexton as the father) and Seattle city councilman/mayoral candidate Darren Richmond (Billy Campbell), who in the season 1 cliffhanger was arrested (perhaps wrongly) for the titular crime. “All of these characters have secrets,” says Schupack. “The tagline ‘Be careful what you uncover’ speaks to the discovery of those secrets and what unravels from their exposure.”
Some viewers were unhappy that The Killing didn’t wrap up the Rosie Larsen murder mystery during its rookie campaign. For those who want to know the exact timetable for resolution – BEGIN SPOILER ALERT! — exec producer Veena Sud confirms to EW that an answer will come at the end of season 2. END SPOILER ALERT!
Wow, I completely forgot about this show.
I did as well actually until coming across this on EW.
Why do I get this feeling they'll tell us who the killer is in episode one and then they'll be like "APRIL FOOLS *****ES."
The END of season 2??? What happened to "finding out the killer early on and then moving on to a new mystery"? Gmafb.
That being said, the first couple episodes of the first season were brilliant ....then it kinda drug on. And then that horrible season finale happened.
Against my better judgement, I set my DVR to record on Sunday. I might have to watch a bit of the marathon to jog my memory as to what the heck happened.

I have mine set too, but I wasn't going to put myself through a marathon ahead of time (way too busy). I lowered my expectations for this and I'll probably just read Wikipedia ;)
I am ready to push play and check out the first hour. This is the type of show I either watch while it is hot or just let die.
Edit: Drat. I just realized I am committing myself to a two hour event.

I won't be watching tonight. I'm thinking after waiting all this time, I can wait another couple days.
I'm hooked, again. I loved the first episode and in the last few minutes was reminded as to why I watched the first 10 episodes.
I agree; the premiere was a bit slow for a few small parts, but also had crazy parts to make up for it (like Belko, ***?). The premiere revealed so many different paths that the case could go in. They seem to be going down the dirty cop path at the moment. I think Holder just realized that he effed up big time.
I think Holder just realized that he effed up big time.
What I appreciated the most about the Holder scene at the motel was that in any other show, the door would have somehow been opened. Either he broke it down or she opened it to talk - and I was waiting for one of those outcomes.
However, that is not how it is with The Killing. They don't do it the easy way. That is what is different about this show.
Yes, it can be painfully slow at times, but as you noted there is a scene rife with directions this could go and that is what makes it interesting.
Edit: I also want to add that I am happy that Holder seems to have had an epiphany. His betrayal was probably what turned me off most about last season's finale being I was sold on the character (yes, dirty - but with a heart and conviction.)
Is anyone still watching this?
I feel as if it's going REALLY slow. At this point I really just want to know who killed Rosie and that's it. The entire Richmond storyline is blah for the sake of dragging the show out more. If this somehow goes another season, I'll probably jump ship.

I have the entire second season thus far on my DVR. Going to wait to see if it is worth it or not before I commit again.
I did enjoy the first episode, but there wasn't enough there to get me to watch it the next Sunday vs. all the other shows that come on at that time (like GoT.)

Yeah, I had them all on DVR and decided I would watch them this weekend. You're not missing much.
I am still watching. It is slow, but enjoyable.
Last week's episode shows why they are paying attention to the Richmond storyline.
Have you caught up yet? Because the most recent episode was probably the best one. It's finally getting interesting.
