You can't win them all (unless you are the 1972 Dolphins.) ;)
Lately it seems like the Celtics can't win anything, unless you count those 2 HUGE wins over the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks ;)

Hey, at least the Celtics actually beat the Pacers!
I was impressed as to how the Celtics dispensed the Spurs.
This team doesn't get up for "pick up games." They get up for contenders and they own them.
Once again, my team (Spurs) show how soft they are. They are so obsessed with the jump shot. If only they could play lock down D like the Celtics.
Great win otherwise for the Celts.
Anybody watching the Pacers-Bulls game? I must say I am impressed by the Pacers so far. While I think they will be lucky to get a game this series, they certainly won't be a push over for my bulls.

The Pacers look better than I thought they would. Can't say I've seen them much given that they're never on national TV but I've been impressed especially given that Granger has been terrible so far.
I still have the Lakers over the Bulls in 6.
This should be an interesting playoffs this year
agreed. If yesterday was any sign of whats to come the rest of the playoffs, then it should be VERY interesting.

I do like The Spurs but I dont see them getting out the First round
All of Staples Center was freaking out for the minute or so that Kobe was down. The guy he slid into's face was priceless, it basically said "Oh ****, I just lost this city a title." Lucky for the Lakers it doesn't appear to be anything serious.
Celtics win.
It's all about that last minute and playing in the clutch.
Garnett gets the hero jersey of the night for getting the lead and getting the big defensive stop.

Rondo played a fantastic game, as did the rest of the Celtics. It is funny that everyone is saying the Celtics have 1-2 more chances at a title. Rondo and Green are solid building blocks for the post big-3 era. They won't be as legit, but they certainly won't become irrelevant.

True that It look like they might be going to the next round
I pray that the finals isnt Lakers vs Celtics, but I think that there is a decent chance it will be. I dislike Carmelo but I give him props for bringing the Knicks back last night with a terrible lineup around him. I'm pulling for the Thunder to win it all because Durant and Westbrook are two of my favorite players and they are an exciting team to watch.
Real quick, my University housing cable doesnt have NBATV, anybody of a place online where I can catch the Bulls/Pacers game that's happening right now!?
Where exactly do you see an edge for Boston if there were a Chicago-Boston matchup?
They split the season series...
The Celtics have experience. The Celtics have the ability in the playoffs to lose for 47 minutes, yet win the game. They are past NBA Champions with pedigree.
These guys might be aging (which is why they always fade in the second half of the season) but we know they are just making sure the tank has enough fuel for the title run. Anything but an NBA Championship is a failure and you are going to see that mentality on the court in each and every game down to the last second of regulation.
The Celtics are not comprised of All Stars. They are comprised of future Hall of Famers.
Not only does that offer an edge, it's a big edge. Until you've done it, you're nothing but expectations and dreams.
The Celtics are the defending Eastern Conference Champions. You can't take that title away with grandiose visions and meaningless stats. You need to earn it.

I agree. Experience is the best teacher in sports. Particularly experience in games that come down to the wire. Remember the Celtics when they won the finals a couple years back? They had a close series with the likes of the Atlanta Hawks. They were a new team with no experience, yet they won that year because they gained experience each game, because each game was not a given. That is what the Bulls are doing right now. They could be 0-3 in this series, yet they have found ways to win.
I agree with your point about their supposed age. Age is not a deciding factor. But personnel is, and their lack of size (after the deranged Perkins trade) makes their ability to win a series against teams like the Bulls or the Magic suspect. Last year, they lost the Finals when they lost Perkins. They play a half court style, and the half court is usually won by size. There are several teams out there bigger than them. If the Celtics win the East, then the West will win the Finals, mark my words.
Agreed, the Celtics are comprised of Future Hall of Famers. Who also used to be All-Stars. I challenge you to name a single Hall of Fame NBA Player who was not first an All-Star.
The Celtics were nothing but expectations and dreams when they first had the Big Three on one team. Furthermore, they played in an Eastern Conference which was not quite as competitive as this years' Eastern Conference. Yet that team, which was awesome, did not have less than a 6 game series the entire playoffs in the year that they won. They gained experience as they went, but they cut it close every time up until the Finals.
The Celtics are the Eastern Conference champions. So until they are dethroned, all this talk is but talk. But if you are implying that Bulls are favorites because of "grandiose stats", then I challenge you to look at the stats. The Bulls are favorites because we have a winner :)

That is well said. BTW, Kyle Korver is an absolute stud.
You make valid points, but surprisingly I remain unconvinced. I guess it will have to be decided on the court. :D
I'd rather the Bulls play an actual, seasoned team like the Celtics, as opposed to the flashy, publicity juggernaut that is the Miami Heat.
