Real World 26 - Casting

I am sure that it is slightly different each season. However, when I applied for season 21 a few years ago (which I later learned took place in Brooklyn), I was told that there were 30 of us being interviewed across the country for the semi-final round. I was also told that if I advanced into the finals, there would be about 10 of us flown to Los Angeles for the final round of interviews. From there, they pick their 7 (or 8). Again, congratulations to everyone who has made it this far. You are one among few.

Also, could anyone give me information on the next round - "finals" - what happens? What is different? How many days are you in LA? Do they let you know when you are in LA if you made it onto the show? Thanks guys! -Sunshineboy

If you did not get a call within a week from your interview chances are your not going to the finals

They did say they want the cast by may and film by June and they started in Feb. Plenty of time to find a cast

Plenty of time to find a cast[/QUOTE] I think Brooklyn started casting in January and was supposed to be in production in June but got pushed back to August due to issues that caused them to have to quickly find a new location when the Chelsea penthouse fell through, so this seems to be on the same pace as they have done in the past.

How do you get the application for the Real World? Do you still apply online now? I mean, how [strike]do[/strike] does that work?

Most of the time they argue and fight in the first 20 min of the episode and then at the end they forgive each other and say they want to be friends. Can you say boring and lame? I want stories and interesting backgrounds. That's why I love shows like true life because you see such amazing stories and people. I rather see interesting people then people who just party, drink, have sex, and argue. There are too many shows like this already on tv so why bother watching this one since they are all the same. I watched the first episode of this season and knew everything that was going to happen. And I feel like I can predict the whole season lol. Some of the casting directors are real *******s. The one I had during the Back to New Orleans casting told us we had to make it quick cause there is a line outside. I was like are you ******* kidding me? I waited in like for like 2 hours to be told we need to be quick. Wouldn't surprise me if Skype gave some consideration since they were all notified in a Skype chat that they were on the cast and where they were going and they showed Adam skyping with his old gf. I am sure there were lots of one on one face to face with Dustin along the way. I imagine they gave him a little extra interviewing to be certain.

You can email them your "story" and photos and they'll let you know if they wanna see more of you at an open casting call. If that's what you mean by applying online.

Plenty of time to find a cast[/QUOTE] I'm only repeating what I've read, but some guy I'm friends with on Facebook wrote that they have an in-person interview on June 3rd. 1) Are they allowed to publicly announce that via Facebook? 2) Would that mean BMP plans to film mid-to-late June if they are still on semi-finals? To be honest, this guy is fake and a complete joke; I'd rather seem him get DQ'd from casting.
