The cast makes the season serious or party, not the location.
I think it's a little of both. Like D.C., they couldn't have possibly made that a party season even if they tried. And it's kind of hard to be serious in Vegas...
I am waiting on season 26 casting to start. It should be around December or January right?
We don't work for BMP. How should we know?
Aren't you too old to try out by now anyway?

I wouldn’t be surprise. I don’t see the age limit on the website anymore.

If you are turning 25 in a few months like I think you are, you're out of luck.
And to be completely honest...after reading your posts, you're not exactly what BMP is looking for.

It looks like they might be shooting later than usual next year.. Las Vegas is already filming at the moment so I'm guessing maybe Late Spring into Summer.. starting maybe between May and August?
But it's pointless to even guess.. Just wait for the official casting page to roll out.

Im sorry, this doesnt really belong here, but, These are the kinds of things that just **** me off. People audition if its ok for them, But Ive been dreaming of getting on this show for 8 years. I would drop everything going on in my life to go and have this amazing experience, but chances are someone that says things like "oh i had nothing better to do" will get cast, just because they're skinnier than me... I hate it. Its nothing against you, I just couldnt hold that in...

I understand what you are saying and I completely agree but the thing is I am going for predental so it is not as easy to say I am taking a semester off due to having to submit applications at certain times etc.
I am most likely going to have a year off so I am planning to try to apply for the show I just wanted to see if it would be possible for me to get extra courses during one of the 2 semesters.
I just didnt know how scheduling worked as to when they filmed the 2 seasons.
I am guessing it changes year to year?
You would think college would take priority over being on a reality show...
You can ALWAYS go back to college.
Being on television is a once in a lifetime opportunity.
I have 2 more semesters left and I would go on a reality show and go back to college once it wraps. It isn't that big of a deal.

Do you realize how many people take a "break" from school and never go back? A lot.
Once someone shoots a television show, it's possible that they can do bar appearances, challenges, charity appearances, etc and get paid for it. They want to milk the cow for all it's worth before it goes dry. Before people forget who they are. They use the "well, I can use the money from this appearance to help pay for tuition" excuse.
It's more of a deal than you think. You might think it's not that huge, but it's harder than you think.
These are all good points. Its all things i need to discuss with myself, to help me work through my issue that I stated earlier. And like I said, Jimmy, it was nothing against you, so I thank you for not getting angry with me like a lot of people would have. It shows maturity, and I hope everything works out for you. Who knows, maybe we'll be roomates on RW 26. Haha.

There are also many real world people who do it and then continue college. If they really wanted to continue college they would. If that is really the case then they want fame more than a college education. It would be a no brainer for me.
How many cast members do you think honestly went on whim because they had nothing better to do? IMO, I think most of them are full of ******. I think it's just a cover to make them seem more "cool".
Usually some of the cast members have graduated from college, so all you people who are intrested in RW can always wait after college. I think that's what I'm probably gonna end up doing because I can't see myself taking a semester off, at least not right now because I'm afraid of getting behind.
Does anyone know on average when casting call begins?
There really isn't an average.
For RW25, casting calls started in April and the cast moved in to the suite in the first half of October.
RW24 had casting calls start in October and they were in NOLA by the last week in January.
RW23 casting started in March and they were in DC by the last week in June.
RW22 started in September and they were in Cancun sometime in January.
Now that I have nothing going for me I think I might actually audition, and not just say it lol...hopefully casting, and the show filming is a good 6-7months away. Want to be physically ready since they love to cast the muscle, abs, model type of guy, and not regular joe -.- lol
Does anyone know if there pushing back casting calls? I hope not!
I know!! Same here. That's what it seems like to me. I have asked Bunim-Murray on Twitter before when they are going to start open casting calls, but they reply with "We are always casting for the show. Visit Bunim/Murray Productions for more info". So i don't know whats going on?
Okay so I'm hoping some of you experienced members who've tried out for RW can help me. I always some how seemed to miss the auditions and so for season 26 I sent my tape in over the summer( thinking they would cast as they typically did and have auditons in the fall). But since they didnt even start filming 25, untill fall I was way early. My question is I know their policy is no multiple submissions , but since I sent mine before 25 even began filming , would it be okay if I sent another. I thought sending it early would be a good idea, but i was too early and worried maybe my video didn't even really get watched, or is in a corner somewhere. Also, if i sent an email too, since I already sent the video in summer would that disqualify me also? I would rather do a new video, but don't want to ruin my chances.
Any opinions?
Thanks !

Yea I hate when that happens. It's like you don't to feel like you're being annoying. Personally I wouldn't send in another tape. I also don't prefer for myself to do tapes. Tapes are good because you get to show more about yourself in a 5 min video rather than having to share the spotlight for 15 min during a casting call. However when it comes to a tape, you never know if they actually watched it or even got it because they don't confirm with you that they got it or didn't get it. So you are always just going to be wondering and feeling paranoid about them getting it. The good thing with a casting call audition is that you get to meet the directors in person and you know that they saw you and know that they have your application that you filled out. Also with a casting call if they keep you then you are moving on. If they don't keep you or you do not get a call by the end of that day, you know you're not moving on and don't have to worry about anything anymore. Open casting calls are fun because you get to meet a lot of different people trying out and see why they want to be on the show. It is a fun experience. However don't get mad if they don't pick you. If they don't pick you, it doesn't mean that you are boring or not entertaining. They just might be looking for something else. Sometimes they pick people who are not even that entertaining or just random. Never beat yourself up over not making it though. Remember it's just a show and nothing else. Yea it can produce good things but it can also produce bad things. I have learned from the casting calls that sometimes it's just not your time. You might feel you have all the right things about yourself that make you suitable for the show and still not get picked. Never go to a casting call with expectations. Just relax and be yourself. Don't change who you are to try and impress them because if you are picked to be on the show, you want to be yourself the whole time and not someone else. If they don't like you then just say what I say.....There loss not mine. I remember the reason I wasn't chosen was because it was said that I talked to much. A lot of talking in my mind is better than someone who barely talks at all.
So to answer your question, I wouldn't send in another tape. Wait for an open casting call to come up and just go to that. This gives you time to wait and see if they call you about your tape they watched. If they don't then the casting call is your next step. Also remember that they don't seem to be casting right now so they wouldn't call people just yet. Good luck and remember to just relax and be yourself if you do get into the casting process.

Have you ever tried sending something certified? You can track it and verify that it was actually delivered (and not lost in the mail) for yourself online. Costs a little more, but if you're willing to get on the show, might not hurt.

Yea I know that but it doesn't confirm that they watched it or if maybe something wasn't working. If the tape doesn't play right then they will just throw it out and will not notify you if it is not working. I still feel a casting call is more reliable.

Well yes, a casting call is more reliable I suppose, but I would hope that you would make sure that the copy you are giving them works. As long as you follow all of the rules (put it in the right format, stay under the time limit, etc) I don't see why they wouldn't watch at least part of your video.
