Yea, funny story, I also went to the Chicago one and I **** near tackled a kid to get a seat near the Casting Director... Actually After reading your post, I think you may have been in my group... PM please I would like to see if you're who I think you are.
ohhh snaps a vevmo meetup ****
So you have an idea of what BMP likes, Adam's (RW: 25) casting tape:

so basically all you need to do is a keg stand....and stuff like that. also talk about your personality....and stuff like that.
so basically all you need to do is a keg stand....and stuff like that. also talk about your personality....and stuff like that.
Yeah, stuff like that.
Yeah, stuff like that.
Haha best response I've seen so far. Honestly, I really have given up in trying to figure out what they want to see anymore. Just from Adam and Heather's videos I don't see how they made it to the next round when the words "like", "stuff like that", "yeah ya know"? How does that say anything about these people? I guess they find those people more "real" instead of perceiving them as acting? I guess anyone well spoken is coming off as fake?
I thought one thing in particular was interesting about the casting call group I was put in for the opening casting call this season. One of the guys said that he feels the show isn't doing well because it's become outdated and all about partying and drinking. The casting director (who was one of the biggest jerks I've seen) took great offense to his statement and even rolled his eyes at the guy.
I think the casting people should be replaced or the people who edit the shows should be replaced if this series wants to reach out to a bigger audience. A lot of these people have really interesting backgrounds, but it seems like we never really get to see much about them on the show. Everything is overshadowed by going to a bar every night and getting in a fight.
Adam I think is probably the fakest person to ever appear on the show. I think hes looking to be the "star" and will do anything to stay in the lime light.

I couldn't agree more. The fights get boring and predictable. Most of the time they argue and fight in the first 20 min of the episode and then at the end they forgive each other and say they want to be friends. Can you say boring and lame? I want stories and interesting backgrounds. That's why I love shows like true life because you see such amazing stories and people. I rather see interesting people then people who just party, drink, have ***, and argue. There are too many shows like this already on tv so why bother watching this one since they are all the same. I watched the first episode of this season and knew everything that was going to happen. And I feel like I can predict the whole season lol. Some of the casting directors are real *******s. The one I had during the Back to New Orleans casting told us we had to make it quick cause there is a line outside. I was like are you ******* kidding me? I waited in like for like 2 hours to be told we need to be quick. The casting has to be changed in some way because the same kind of people are on every season.
Yeah, stuff like that.
I'm guessing he was hilarious and interesting at the casting and during his interviews, cuz that video sucked donkey sack.

AGREED. The casting directors in my opinion are so meh. At today's casting call our casting director asked us two questions: describe yourself in one word, and ask the person across from you one question.
Then it was rushed because more people showed up.
Casting calls are a terrible experience, and everyone is just better off sending a tape. Mainly because there is no way they can paint an accurate picture of you from your application, and from two questions.
Watching Adam's tape should give everyone hope. That was the most undetailed and almost embarrassingly bland audition I've ever seen for RW. I specifically remember Amaya's, Mel's (Philly), Sarah (Philly), and Melissa's (New Orleans) and they were just so amped with personality. They definitely didn't say "stuff like that" over and over again, lol. Now for something extremely embarrassing... I consider myself to be a pretty intelligent person with a promising future. I work, I go to school, I make money, never been in trouble before, come from a good family... so why is it that I am extremely and I emphasize EXTREMELY attracted to Adam and have been since he appeared on the screen. He honestly just made my number 2 spot right under Brad. Should I seek therapy? :: Runs to replay Adam's audition ::

haha, are you from pittsburgh?
so am I.
and yeah she was there today at pittsburgh's casting call, and last year at West Virginia's.
However, she didn't interview today. She was training a new director, he was pretty good, but definitely did a good job of having a decent interview imo.
Because I failed so hard at last years casting call I had to redeem myself this year around :P..
I went to the Ann Arbor call this past week, was fun times once again. I was happy I had a different casting director then last year (this girl found Leroy from RW-Vegas) and she seemed like she actually loved her job unlike the last guy I had. I did notice a few of the questions were worded differently on this years app (also they took off a few questions)
Anyways my group was a buncha duds for the most part besides a guy who was in the army before he lost his eye in duty, now hes married but seeing another women on the side, and a girl that was on MTV's Made already.
This director had everyone do the usual "Introduce yourself, and one fun fact that isnt on the written app", but instead of the group discussion questions, she asked (one) question pertaining to what you wrote on your app.
When it was my turn she actually asked me multiple questions, and let another person in the group ask me a question. So I def feel she was interested in me and she did seem to like my answers (even seemed to typecast me in a certain role when she tried to define me in a sentence), but sadly I didnt make the next round :(..
She said they would be calling later that night because she had to to talk to her boss and was saying it woulda been from a certain area code # and make sure your voicemail isn't full else she would skip ya for the interviews the next day, no one stayed back in my group.
This will be my last attempt at Real World because I really couldn't have done any better then I did this time around ^_^, oh wells onto survivor! :D

OM I always imagined that casting directors were attractive people. If she was the interviewer I would just walk out. Oh she also does casting for the bad girls club too. I wish they made a Bad Boys Club... but that would be pretty gay; I don't know how that would work out. All I know is that I just want to fight and argue with people for 2 months and do nothing else.

Haha, nice
I don't think this show would work like the Bad Girls Club... Guy's just aren't as catty and malicious as girls. There wouldn't be a fight for control of the house. 7 dudes would argue, fight, and make up immediately. At least that's how I would be living with 6 other dudes.
Not saying I wouldn't watch it though...
Isolate 7 guys in 1 house and it would take you six months to get an hour's conversation that didn't have to do with toilet paper, beer, or sports. People would just sleep, eat and pass gas 24/7.

Well thats why you cast at least 2 gay guys, haha. Even straight guys like Adam, who is a bad boy, would probably have more too him than toilet paper, beer, and sports. You just have to find the right people.

who would be the target audience? Guys tend not to watch guys unless its sports or news.

No im not from pittsburg... midwest boy here

I would think the same audience for bad girls club. I mean I know a lot of straight guys that watch it but its mostly girls and gay men, lol
I got a VIP pass to the audition in Charlotte, North Carolina. I didn't even apply for one. Best part about this is I live in New York lol. Is that kind of weird? Maybe a sign I should audition? lol I'm not going because I don't wanna travel like 5-6 states away to be told I talk to much again lol
Something humorous I came across while I was looking for Charlie Sheen material
Wanted: Potential MTV Real World Castmembers: |
LOL.
I am so mad because they are doing the casting in Philly on April 2. I have to go to a wedding :(
I guess I will have to wait for the RW 27 casting in the summer/fall or whenever it is
I am so ******
Well maybe I will have a better chance getting on when I am closer to being 21?
I really want to try it out next time around.
How exactly do they usually do the casting events? What usually occurs?
Also do they do casting calls 2 times a year since they usually have 2 seasons on each year
I am just so mad I have to wait.
Also any suggesstions for the interviews or anything?
And finally I noticed on the bottom of this page
http://www.bunim-murray.com/casting/realworld/
They have an entry form. Can you an entry that way if you cannot make it to the interview?
Thanks,
Jimmy
Hey everyone I recently applied online for real world 26 and I got the VIP email. Are you in any way special or better off than others with this email. I recently broke my back and would have to drive 7 hrs for the VIP audition. Do you think its worth it?

Risk paralysis for a 1 in a million shot? I wouldn't dream of it. Stick with the video.

Unless you're 100% confident you're going to be on the show? No.

Yes, to audition as well. When you email them back with the name, they'll add it to the guest list as well and when you get there to give them your name and pass, they'll ask if "so and so" is with you as well. They don't need to be but they're good to go if they are.
