Bring back Timmy Beggy, Alton, Adam the King, CT, MJ, or Evan to replace the RW NOLA last minute declines or Darrell, Big E, Danimal, Landon, Pete, or Big Syrus. One of those guys has to show up on the cast list lol I hope.
I just wish they do a challenge where there is only one guy and girl winner like the duel season 1. That will make it more interesting, longer, competitive, and alliances will have to break.
It better be, because it looks like we are only gonna get one challenge this year unless they shoot back to back which I doubt will happen.
Well considering there is a decent chance this is the last challenge, period, I'd say they're probably not shooting them back to back.
Why do people think that the challenges could end? They are one of the greatest series that MTV has come up with and they will lose a lot of viewers. I see a long layoff, but not completely gone.

This has been discussed before, but
1) their contract is up after the one currently being filmed
2) they cost a LOT to make
3) they get under a million viewers every week which does not cut it for the amount they cost to make
4) several people with inside intel have insinuated they're as good as done
Sure, they could always bring them back in the future, but personally I don't see them getting picked up again in the current format. I'd love to be proved wrong.
The the Challenge, Real World and I Used to be Fat are currently the only shows I watch on MTV. I do enjoy the challenges, as much as I dislike some castmembers, they are entertaining.
^^ Might be true for us, but the overall moneymakers for MTV seem to be 16&preggo, Teen Mom, and of course Jersey Shore. And since none of those require hundreds of thousands in prize money or travel and housing for 20+ people, it would kind of be dumb to keep the challenges going :-(
I'm not gonna get into it here because I don't want to take this thread off topic but it think there are a lot of factors involved in those wins. His record is great but in terms of eliminations I think his only quality wins were over chet and Derrick. We can talk more in the generic thread if you want.
That's still more than Kenny and Johnny. Also i think a lot of his FM face off wins were quality. That was some serious stuff they had to do, and he did it back to back to back.

I never said his record isn't better than Kenny and johnnys. But if you look back at his eliminations on Fresh Meat, yeah the guy was a work horse and carried all the weight, but they never solved a puzzle until they had to (and they couldn't do it) and mostly relied on their experience with the course. I also think (and I cant go look because I'm on my iPad since my laptop broke) that two of them he only won because the other team brain ****** and didn't get the flag. Jesse and Johana had that thing in the bag but had to go back. Then on the final Tina and Kenny had the same weight the WHOLE time plus Kenny had to carry Tina and they lost. Then on FM 2 he sucked the whole time and then quit.
In terms of his Individual eliminations the Chet and Derrick ones were great performances. I won't take anything away from him. Nick is awful so that one is a throwaway and then he lost to Cohutta in a puzzle. Then in his head to head with Brad on the Duel he wound up squandering 3/4 of his headstart (which I know was part of the game but it has to be considered).
The guy is clearly a good athlete. I just think he is HIGHLY overrated, especially in the mental aspect. There are dailies of him talking down to Kenny that he's sooooo much smarter and he hasn't proved it once.

Pointless debate... and a great way to kill an interesting thread. How about beating each other up via PM and spare the rest of the us the pain?

Is this not the generic challenge thread? And the most recent topic was the discussion as to whether or not the challenges will be cancelled which is a pretty tortured topic as well, not some heated debate that everyone was weighing in on. If someone wants to change the topic fine, but I was under the impression this was the place to take discussions that didn't fall into the other categories.
I think Trisha (RW Sydney) is going to be on the challenge. Just a complete guess. She was on that Bunim Murray xmas video so i just think its possible since she was in contact with them.

"Pointless" = You are not going to win that debate. No one is.
Discussion of cancellation is equally pointless. The challenges will either be renewed or they won't. We'll know when we know and not before.

My goal wasn't to win any debate. I made a statement on another thread, said I wouldn't expand on it as it was off topic and if someone wanted to talk abut it I would do so here. I offered an opinion and wanted to hear the opinions of others. Is that not the point of a discussion board?
And in terms of the cancellation if you read my post it had no relevance. You said my post was killing an interesting thread, yet the last few topics have all been generic played out ones so it is not as if I was hindering any highbrow debate (or discussion ;) ).

I asked her on twitter today if she keeps declining or they just don't ask her. Never got an answer.
Random Challenge Moment.
Remember When Tina Tried to punch Beth in the face on the Duel 1?
Wasn't that funny?
I like the word "tried" in this statement since that's what actually happened.

I remember MTV pimping the **** out of that. I was really expect something crazy and then when the episode aired it was nothing more then what we saw in EVERY SINGLE COMMERCIAL. There wasn't even any major drama leading up to it...
I like the word "tried" in this statement since that's what actually happened.
Yeah its so funny to me that Tina still says that punching Beth was worth getting kicked off. All the while Im thinking to myself "lol ok then shouldnt you ACTUALLY have punched her." She actually thinks she punched her, what planet is she living on??

She is living in the real world. She delivered a punch to no effect, but that doesn't mean it didn't connect. What Tina didn't know is that she was swinging at a trained kick boxer of ten years, who was one of the first people Wes attempted to recruit for his ill-fated reality boxing event in Phoenix a few years ago. Somehow Wes knew Beth's background when no one else did (except for her friend Syrus who doesn't talk).

No it really didn't connect lol. If you watch it again, it looks like she misses completely, but she actually did graze Beth's sunglasses a very minute amount. That ended up cutting and not the punch itself.

I have to get into good shape and I trust Tyler's judgment!

I know you think you know what you are seeing from the edited episode, but that is not what is contained in the Buzios police report of the incident, nor is it what was acknowledged during subsequent discussions between Beth's representation and BMP.

So you're saying that Tina punched Beth multiple times and they only showed one then?

If I had intended to say that, then I would have. I generally choose my words with great care.
