Road Rules would own Real World and Fresh Meat if that were to happen. But come on, Road Rules is done and it ended in such a BAD way, it would be really LAME..... atleast for the Road Rulers.
I just read that and thought, hmm, it was awful, but we got some pretty good castmembers out of it. Tori, Derek, Dan, and Angel are a pretty good bunch, given how bad the season did. Tori's obviously a great competitor, Dan is entertaining and not too bad athletically, Derek is an ex(?)-football player who I think is a good competitor, though his track record isn't good and he didn't do so hot on the Duel 2 (and lost to Ryan in Sliders:rolleyes:) and Angel, from what we saw of her, was actually a decent competitor and I actually would love to see her back. Maybe she would call another Vet a transvestite again, that'd be cool.
i think the new challenge has started because Vinny, Abe, and Theresa haven't been on fb since before new years...
hopefully that's true . and hopefully a couple of the people who are going to be on this new Las Vegas real world are also on the next challenge . Idk about you, but I do get tired of seeing the same ol faces over and over again unless they're kicking some serious *** like CT, Landon or Mark .
Wait wait wait wait wait... You're telling me that we could have had Kendal on more challenges, and it was BMP that didn't make it happen?! I am not happy right now since she was one of my favorites on The Inferno (and was apart of one of the best moments in Challenge history of course).
Can't be true. Katie just few days ago wrote in her Facebook that she told them NO.
hopefully that's true . and hopefully a couple of the people who are going to be on this new Las Vegas real world are also on the next challenge . I'd wait about a month and try your luck again.

As I recall, she was helping manage an apartment complex at the time.
Only those (of the pit crew) who made it on the RV would be considered Road Rulers and could do a challenge. Plus production obviously didn't like her thats why they rigged the last vote and gave Kristen a shot at getting on the RV because they favored her. There was no way Kristen got more votes than Ivory during that last vote in.
That sucks! She was the most entertaining part of the season, and she wasn't even on the RV.

She is like Susie.
That sucks! She was the most entertaining part of the season, and she wasn't even on the RV.
Yeah, what a waste. I also liked David, but he would of done a challenge if he didn't leak spoilers.....the BMP doesn't forgive you for that. I also remember way back, before they did the Inferno, production had us vote online for which castmembers we would like to see on a challenge on MTV.com. I remember they had the old cast members pictures(i only remember seeing Los's picture from RR1), and you would select who you would like to see casted. But I don't think they ever went through with it, does anyone else remember? Trust me it happened.
Actually Wes and Brad annoy me more. Its all a matter of opinion. SO IMO, FM people re invited too much, it's repetitive, however I disagree with the whole "they bring nothing" argument. I'm not a purist, especially since I barely watch the Real World anymore. I don't blame MTV because if the Real World ratings are declining, then a revamp of the challenge may be necessary to increase those ratings, and I think FM did just that for them. I'm generally neither here nor there about the FM people, however I do like Evan and Laurel. ( and I have watched every season of the challenge beside BOTSeasons.) I think new ideas are necessary and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy seeing the talked about 3-team format with RR vs RW vs FM, especially if FM gets their butt kicked :P All in all, everyone has their opinion, but maybe we're making a big deal out of nothing, in fact, most of us still watch the show....FM or not. You're kidding right? Did you not see Evan win The Duel 2 and other eliminations where FM beat castmembers? Come on now.... I don't think that's a valid argument.... although Ace was quite entertaining. Disagree big time. In stats, Carley was basically last place. Her partner mattered. She couldn't finish eliminations holding her own weight etc, while Laurel held her own weight and even finished before Kenny and cheered him on in an exile. If you say Laurel is average, then you must say that Kenny is amazing as well as Abe (since she won many many challenges with Kenny, one with Abe and she did well with them). One thing I think though is that people take these challenges more seriously than in older ones. Ace went home so many times, and just basically had fun with it, while Paula lost and lost and became "mentally unstable" sometimes and took it into her personal life. Nowadays, anyone who says something on a challenge, it affects their personal life and people see them as pathetic and the worst person alive etc, whereas in the old it was fun and games.... hence making the show interesting, funny and not as serious. Chill out, it's a gameshow on reality tv... how serious should that REALLY be?
Abram is a good competitor but Kenny? well he's Fresh Meat so whatever he does is irrelevant.Look we can sit here and argue the details. But the fact is that Carley Beat Laurel it doesn't matter if Landon dragged her *** there. CARLEY BEAT LAUREL so she's not as good as she thinks she is period. And also I agree with you about how the castmembers now take these challenges very seriously. It's one thing I liked about the older challenges.Back then the castmembers didn't act like it was a life and death situation and didn't go crazy or cry if they lost. I do remember Ace back on BOTS 2 saying next challenge he's gonna go home 3rd.
Syrus was just on The Ruins. Ruthie was just on The Duel 2 and I have a feeling she will be on the next one. 99% of the people who watch will have no idea who Kefla, Shayne, Belou, Raquel, Glenn or Msaada are. None of them have been on TV for at least 8 years (some as long as 18 years). Shane has publicly said he has no interest in returning to challenges and he is done with BMP/MTV. Kendall was a contracted/paid alternate for The Island, and yes she expressed interest in returning to challenges to get some money because she was not being paid child support. However, the challenges have changed a lot since The Inferno filmed back in '03 and I'm sure being away from phones and internet for 6 weeks would not seem very appealing to a single mother of a young child. Randy is boring, and as Superboy said, I don't think Ivory will ever be cast for a challenge because she was not an "official" road ruler. It has now been 4 years. I doubt the casual viewer remembers any of the non-veterans from VR other than Tori, Dan, Derek & possibly Angel. You guys forget BMP/MTV doesn't care about making the die-hard fans happy. They know we will watch no matter what. They are more interested in catching the average MTV viewer's attention and casting alumni would seem more relevant and recongizable by the casual MTV viewer. There are some people who can be off MTV for years and would still be known (Coral, Beth, Veronica, etc.) and then there are some who can take 2 years off and go off into oblivion. Even someone like Trishelle who hasn't done a challenge in years would still be recognizable by the casual public to her notoriety and other projects aside from MTV. Sure, some offbeat choices have been paid off, such as casting Susie & Jo on The Gauntlet 2, while others, such as casting Ibis on The Ruins and Jon on Inferno 2 have not.
Well if you ask me BMP needs to start caring about the fans that were watching the shows long before the Stale Meat came along because these shows are running on thin ice and BMP needs to start catering to as many people as they can to keep these shows alive and kicking. And yes I get that people who watch the show now won't know anything about the older castmbmers but that problem can be solved. Can't MTV just replay old RW/RR seasons? Like have those marathons they used to have? I mean they need to show something other than Jersey Shore and Teen Mom.

I heard Kendal was supposed to be on Duel 1 but they replaced her last minute.
They did that right before Inferno 2. I remember they had about 40 castmembers posted and it was a poll asking if you thought each castmember was "naughty" or "nice".
I never [strike]seen[/strike] saw that, but I do remember them asking who we want casted sometime after the Gauntlet 1. Only people who regularly visited the MTV RW/RR challenge message boards during 2003 and 2004 would know what I'm talking about.
Older castmembers of both shows who either have never done a challenge or who people don't necessarily remember, are basically like FM (who don't remember the old school RW/RR days). I know most would refuse the offer, but there are some older castmembers that have shown interest (I know Brynn and Msadda have).

They had this huge list of castmembers and we had to pick which ones we wanted to see on the next challenge It was for The Inferno 2 since the theme of that challenge was Good Guys vs Bad *****.

I'm not saying that Landon dragged Carley to the finish line but either way they were a team and they won together. Who knows how Laurel and Carley would have finished if it was an individual contest. I'm not the biggest fan of Laurel, but I don't think its really fair to say that Carley beat her. When actually she and Landon beat Laurel and Kenny as a team. To me that's like saying that Nehemiah beat CT in the Gauntlet 3 when actually it was the rookie team who beat the veteran team (although the veterans technically finished first, but that's beside the point I'm trying to make). Laurel is a great competitor don't get me wrong, but she has been acting as if she has been doing these shows for years and owns the place.

Yeah it was a team effort but that doesn't detract from those statements.
Do you remember seeing Los on the list?
Nope I don't remember him being on that list. But I do remember Vince from Road Rules Islands being on that list.

By this, you're then saying well, Katie beat the Miz in The Inferno and Cara beat Alton in The Gauntlet? That's not a fair statement and it isn't true. And to say that it's okay to make those statements really undermines all the other competitors, pretending that they had no effect. In professional sports, would say one's team's player beat another team's player? No. The Sox beat the Yankees or the Mavs beat the Lakers. Maybe a person on the team led them to victory, but you can't say one person beat another.

Carley beat Laurel from a team standpoint but not on a individual level. It would be a different story if it was one-on-one...
Carley won. Laurel didn't win. That's really all that needs to be said...
Yes I can and I'll say it again. Carley beat Laurel.
I hope you realize that your statement is completely illogical. Writing it does not make it true. Perhaps a compromise in is order. Why don't we wait until we can actually see them go head to head (which may be really soon)?
Or maybe you all can just leave it alone and let me think what I like. I'm not gonna change what I think.
Is it possible for a Real World season to air while a challenge is airing ?
I think it could be possible, as a few years ago when Real World was 30 minutes, it used to air with challenges. But I think MTV likes to space them out now.
Yes I remember that Real World and a Challenge would be on at the same time because RW: Denver was on while The Duel and Inferno III were airing because The Duel used to come on Thursdays and Inferno III used to come on Tuesdays (I think), while RW: Denver came on Wednesdays.

This argurment is getting qutie old, and lets see once and for all who is better.
