Look The FM just don't make for good Television and they have no buisness on the challenges. That's where I stand. And as for Laurel....She may be a good competitor but she got beat by Carley on Fresh Meat 2 so just how good is she? And it seems like everyone is focusing on the competition and there's nothing wrong with that but these shows are more than that. There needs to be those entertaining moments because honestly the competition isn't all that great anymore.

Um Yes I know Fresh Meat is a partner Challenge I watched ALL of Fresh Meat 2. And what I saw is Carley getting up that Moutain with Landon. If Laurel was so big and bad her and Kenny would've came in 1st place. Laurel only does well if she has someone else helping her. By herself she's average.
I don't remember seeing Kenny underneath Laurel at any point with his head in her ***, pushing her up the mountain, but I do remember Landon having to do that with Carley. Also, go look at the stats for Fresh Meat 2 and which TEAM won more challenges than the other teams? It wasn't Kenny on his own and Laurel definitely held her own AND exceeded all the other women in the physical aspect. If you're using the final on FM2 to gauge it, then you must also think that Carley could best Evelyn in a physical elimination. If Landon & Carley hadn't of had the 2 minute head start and they had started off even, I guarantee you that it'd have been a different final and even Jenn & Noor would have done better. She was on a team with Kenny and they won the majority of the challenges. She was on grey team and they won a lot of challenges. What's the common factor between the two?
i think the new challenge has started because Vinny, Abe, and Theresa haven't been on fb since before new years...
It's January 4th. A lot of people are on vacation at this time of year, it doesn't really mean anything.
I don't remember seeing Kenny underneath Laurel at any point with his head in her ***, pushing her up the mountain, but I do remember Landon having to do that with Carley. Landon said on his blog that he and Carley won the final by 20 minutes. It was edited to make it look closer.
[strike]do you no when it will start?[/strike] Do you know when it will start?
I don't work for BMP or MTV.
I'm tired of this stupid Fresh Meat argument. It's going round and round in circles, and everything has already been said and it just repeats itself and it gets nowhere! You can't say, "They bring nothing" because that's a complete matter of opinion. While you may hate them, some other viewer may love them and think they are a good addition to the challenges. Can we PLEASE change the topic? I have an interesting topic. Does anyone know any castmember's middle names? I really like middle names for some odd reason :)
You lost me there. It wouldn't have made a difference at all. Landon said on his blog that he and Carley won the final by 20 minutes.
[strike]do you no when it will start?[/strike] Do you know when it will start?
I believe on Marchtember oneteenth.
There are a bunch of older casts want to but they arent asked.
That's bs...
I believe on Marchtember oneteenth.
That's strange. I was specifically told it was 6,760 mayfly lifetimes plus a hogsnop and a jangly fortnaught away - which would clearly put it on the far side of that assessment.
That's bs...
No. It is true. Some old cast members are asked, but a majority who want to are not.

Puppies would work better :D They are cuter.
That's strange. I had totally forgotten about the hogsnop! Like molds said, we must think of the kittens.
Puppies would work better :D They are cuter.

Well we wouldn't want that cute little thing to get killed do we??
That is by far the creepiest cat I have ever seen in my life.
Y'all are killing me with the kittens. Those are the faces of trained killers.
That is by far the creepiest cat I have ever seen in my life.
Stop right there.

And we have a winner.
Hahah this thread made me laugh! Those cats are for punching not for looking!
The challenges do foucs on one person at times. The Duel 2 was basically the Evan show after the whole CT/Diem/Adam thing. What seperates Kenny and Evan from the other guys on these shows is that they are actual alumni. And they aren't as annoying. I'm not that fond of Wes or Brad but they don't annoy the **** out of me like Kenny and Evan do. And I don't care if the casts respects them. It doesn't make them real castmembers And Katie is more loved for the entertainment factor she has provided over the years It doesn't seem like she brings much to the table now but I suggest you watch the challenges before Fresh Meat 1 and I think you'll understand why she(and some of the other alumni) is loved/hated by many (including me).
Actually Wes and Brad annoy me more. Its all a matter of opinion. SO IMO, FM people re invited too much, it's repetitive, however I disagree with the whole "they bring nothing" argument. I'm not a purist, especially since I barely watch the Real World anymore. I don't blame MTV because if the Real World ratings are declining, then a revamp of the challenge may be necessary to increase those ratings, and I think FM did just that for them. I'm generally neither here nor there about the FM people, however I do like Evan and Laurel. ( and I have watched every season of the challenge beside BOTSeasons.) I think new ideas are necessary and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy seeing the talked about 3-team format with RR vs RW vs FM, especially if FM gets their butt kicked :P All in all, everyone has their opinion, but maybe we're making a big deal out of nothing, in fact, most of us still watch the show....FM or not.
The only guy the Fresh Meat guys could probably beat is Ace. But he's way more fun to watch than any of them. Even Matt on The Gauntlet was more interesting. I shouldn't even have to list any comparisons for the girls lol. I just think in general, The Real World and Road Rules casts are much more interesting to watch.
You're kidding right? Did you not see Evan win The Duel 2 and other eliminations where FM beat castmembers? Come on now.... I don't think that's a valid argument.... although Ace was quite entertaining.
Disagree big time. In stats, Carley was basically last place. Her partner mattered. She couldn't finish eliminations holding her own weight etc, while Laurel held her own weight and even finished before Kenny and cheered him on in an exile. If you say Laurel is average, then you must say that Kenny is amazing as well as Abe (since she won many many challenges with Kenny, one with Abe and she did well with them). One thing I think though is that people take these challenges more seriously than in older ones. Ace went home so many times, and just basically had fun with it, while Paula lost and lost and became "mentally unstable" sometimes and took it into her personal life. Nowadays, anyone who says something on a challenge, it affects their personal life and people see them as pathetic and the worst person alive etc, whereas in the old it was fun and games.... hence making the show interesting, funny and not as serious. Chill out, it's a gameshow on reality tv... how serious should that REALLY be?
That's bs...
Kefla & Shayne (RR Australia), Ruthie (RW Hawaii), Belou (RR Europe), Kendal, Raquel & Shane (RR Campus Crawl), Randy (RW San Diego), Glenn (RW Los Angeles), M'saada (RR MVT), Ivory (RR Viewer's Revenge), & Syrus (RW Boston) are just an example of people that don't get asked that have all expressed interest.
Road Rules would own Real World and Fresh Meat if that were to happen. But come on, Road Rules is done and it ended in such a BAD way, it would be really LAME..... atleast for the Road Rulers.
Kefla & Shayne (RR Australia), Ruthie (RW Hawaii), Belou (RR Europe), Kendal, Raquel & Shane (RR Campus Crawl), Randy (RW San Diego), Glenn (RW Los Angeles), M'saada (RR MVT), Ivory (RR Viewer's Revenge), & Syrus (RW Boston) are just an example of people that don't get asked that have all expressed interest.
Only those (of the pit crew) who made it on the RV would be considered Road Rulers and could do a challenge. Plus production obviously didn't like her thats why they rigged the last vote and gave Kristen a shot at getting on the RV because they favored her. There was no way Kristen got more votes than Ivory during that last vote in.
Lol i know that's true, i wasn't denying it. I'm saying that it's bs because it sucks that we're stuck with these same ol' lames while so many other people are willing to come on board.
Kefla & Shayne (RR Australia), Ruthie (RW Hawaii), Belou (RR Europe), Kendal, Raquel & Shane (RR Campus Crawl), Randy (RW San Diego), Glenn (RW Los Angeles), M'saada (RR MVT), Ivory (RR Viewer's Revenge), & Syrus (RW Boston) are just an example of people that don't get asked that have all expressed interest.
Syrus was just on The Ruins. Ruthie was just on The Duel 2 and I have a feeling she will be on the next one. 99% of the people who watch will have no idea who Kefla, Shayne, Belou, Raquel, Glenn or Msaada are. None of them have been on TV for at least 8 years (some as long as 18 years). Shane has publicly said he has no interest in returning to challenges and he is done with BMP/MTV. Kendall was a contracted/paid alternate for The Island, and yes she expressed interest in returning to challenges to get some money because she was not being paid child support. However, the challenges have changed a lot since The Inferno filmed back in '03 and I'm sure being away from phones and internet for 6 weeks would not seem very appealing to a single mother of a young child. Randy is boring, and as Superboy said, I don't think Ivory will ever be cast for a challenge because she was not an "official" road ruler. It has now been 4 years. I doubt the casual viewer remembers any of the non-veterans from VR other than Tori, Dan, Derek & possibly Angel. You guys forget BMP/MTV doesn't care about making the die-hard fans happy. They know we will watch no matter what. They are more interested in catching the average MTV viewer's attention and casting alumni would seem more relevant and recongizable by the casual MTV viewer. There are some people who can be off MTV for years and would still be known (Coral, Beth, Veronica, etc.) and then there are some who can take 2 years off and go off into oblivion. Even someone like Trishelle who hasn't done a challenge in years would still be recognizable by the casual public to her notoriety and other projects aside from MTV. Sure, some offbeat choices have been paid off, such as casting Susie & Jo on The Gauntlet 2, while others, such as casting Ibis on The Ruins and Jon on Inferno 2 have not.
Compared to the majority of yall, I'm a baby (I just turned 19 on Friday). After watching the few episodes of RR: Down Under and Battle of the Seasons, I can safely say that I know who Kefla, Shayne, and Belou are lol, and I wouldn't mind if they were on a Challenge even though it seems highly unlikely. I don't know Raquel, Glenn, or M'saada. And I didn't know that Kendal was a mommy. Is that why she was only on one Challenge? Because on The Inferno she looked really young.

She did give a clue on an audio recording on Extreme Challenge, for what it's worth. I think the problem is though if you don't watch a FM season, you have NO IDEA who these people are. So when only 1 million watch FM2, it may be worth the risk to try to bait a few older viewers, people in their 20s, of past RW and RR and RW/RR seasons, so if they decide they want to watch the show, they'll have a face or two to follow. If you decide to watch the challenge for the first time in awhile, but have watched RW or RR here or there, and all you know is it's" the RW/RR Challenge," and have no idea what a Fresh Meat is, it's gonna be like watching unknowns, and you'll not care to watch. In a cast of 30 castmembers, it's worth the risk to cast one of em. And for what it's worth, an older alum like Raquel, if unknown to a viewer, is just the same as a unknown FM on their first episode.
Only those (of the pit crew) who made it on the RV would be considered Road Rulers and could do a challenge. They'd be just like FM anyway, so there's no difference. Wasn't the last face-off a name out of a hat, and not votes?
