OK guys, question here. Does anyone besides me think bringing in CT and Tina is a kinda cheap thing to do no matter who is in that particular elimination ? Like, I'm not saying Johnny would 100 % beat Tyler or Theresa would 100 % beat Tori or vice versa. But to bring in somebody else to basically take out a person that someone should beat for themselves (Even though I understand Tyler and Tori both get credit for the win) is messed up I think. I know it's Gulag based on time (who can last the longest vs. CT and Tina), but it's pretty obvious whoever goes second is going to have a huge advantage.
I get where you're coming from, but the only way I can see it being a little unfair is if the person who they're both going against has a personal vendetta against one of them (ala Johnny n CT), but I honestly do not think the person going second has any sort of advantage, since it was a repeat of a previous gulag. Everyone has seen it before except CT and Tina.
I also think it was a smart thing to do on BMP's part to change up the game a little. It caused quite a stir, and most people cannot wait for that episode. CT is one of the most feared guys in this game. (Tina has the mean face, but they could have brought in a better competitor, like Aneesa. Would have loved to see a rematch with her and Tori).
So I don't really consider it unfair, per say. I actually think it's a great idea.
I'm just kinda bummed though. The challenge that Johnny comes off looking like a good guy is the challenge where he was beaten to a pulp. hmmmm! Nevertheless, I'm not complaining, I'm looking forward to it too.

If they really wanted to scare people, they'd bring Beth in instead of Tina.

Unless the first person gets CT and Tina tired but in this case, if it is Johnny going first well then CT shouldn't be tired at all ... just a quick beating, ya know the usual from CT.

Yeah your not the only one who sees problems with this gulag. Obviously, CT isn't the biggest fan of Johnny bananas. If he really wanted to, he could just half *** it against Tyler and pretend to struggle whereas go all out against Johnny whether he's first or second. This is most likely what is going to happen
Also, endurance is also an issue here. Since it's CT, it doesn't really matter because he could do this gulag all day. If the hitter however were Evan, i could see him tiring out against the first person and whoever went second has a big *** advantage and could actually just flat out win

LOL. Yes that could also be a factor.
I was talking about the fairness of this with my friend today actually. I think this will make for good tv, but I personally don't think it's really fair. Not b/c they're not actually going head to head, but because, like someone said, they brought someone in who had a personal issue with one of the people in the Gulag. I'm sure they could've tried to bring in someone beastly like Landon or Darrell, but neither of them are animals so it wouldn't be as entertaining.
Of course, I'm a big Johnny Bananas supporter so I'd probably be singing a different tune had he won.
Honestly, I don't think it would matter if they did it the way it goes down or if Johnny went against Tyler head-to-head, I think Johnny would lose in both instances. Some of you people are writing Tyler off for some reason. He's a pretty strong guy and he looks like he's bulked up quite a bit since the last challenge he was on. A lot of these physical eliminations call upon lower body strength to get the job done and Johnny, like Brad, has #2 pencils for calves.

Fixed.
There's a spoiler thread with everything in it.

Yeah, you're probably right. Tyler beats Derrick 1v1 so I'm sure he could've beaten Johnny 1v1 now that I think about it.
What everybody overlooks is that anybody could beat anybody in an elimination, and until you know the exact circumstances or see the elimination, you can't really judge the people in the elimination.
Ryan beat Derek
Cohutta beat Wes
Svetlana beat Beth
Brad beat CT
Tyler beat Derrick
Say for the next challenge you heard all of these things happening again before they aired and before the circumstances were revealed, do we know all the winners are better? No because we don't know how they won. I'm not saying Tyler didn't beat Derrick in a physical elimination, but it could have been a puzzle. Anybody can win if the cards fall in their favor and anybody could lose if the cards fell in the other person's. Simple as that.

Add Brad beating Landon to that list as well. (Cheap fluke win for Brad, but still.)

I've never looked at Tyler as a strong competitor before, but I have to admit, he proved a lot in this challenge and proved that he's an athlete and a force to be reckoned with.
Emily and Jenn are the only survivors of the Blue Team in the final? Jesus!
I know! But as far as I calculated in my head, they still come out pretty good. As someone stated before.
Red Team- 4 players
Banked- 40,000
Won final- 120,000
= 160,000/ 4 = 40,000 a piece
Blue Team- 2 players
Banked- 60,000
=60,000/2 = 30,000 a piece
Gray Team- 5 players
Banked- 100,000
=100,000/5 = 20,000 a piece
I THINK that's the end results.
So I wouldn't feel bad for blue team at all, they came out pretty good. I think everyone came out with a pretty nice chunk of change this challenge.
Yeah, you're probably right. Tyler beats Derrick 1v1 so I'm sure he could've beaten Johnny 1v1 now that I think about it.
I think more people should give Tyler credit on this challenge. I know in the past he's underperformed and made out with Ryan a lot, but that's in the past. He's actually proving himself as a good competitor by beating Derrick, which isn't a easy task. He even bulked up on this challenge. And obviously he's on the winning team, so he must be doing something right.

I have said before that Tyler and Derrick are not doing a puzzle. From what I've been told I imagine it to be something fairly physical.

As townie and I stated before, I think a lot of people are underestimating Tyler. Just because he performed poorly on his last challenge (which would have been filmed over 3 years ago by now) doesn't mean things haven't changed. Like I said, he's a personal trainer for a professional basketball team. He's someone you'll want on your team for a final.

Yes, of course. They get the money that they won during the challenges. The same concept as the Ruins.

Ah ok, thanks for that correction Molds. And you and townie are totally right, Tyler moved up pretty fast and deserved such as he proved himself. I like his outside qualifications also, it proved that he's no joke, and now, I'm not THAT upset at Derrick losing to him, it's good for his credentials :D and I'd rather Derrick lost to Tyler than to Dunbar or Brad, to be honest. It also seemed as though (to me, at least), Derrick and Tyler have this new friendship, I heard that Derrick defended him on the podcast and they seem friendly in the aftershow. Then again, I think Derrick always appreciates a good player and he gives props and respects those he goes against. And Tyler is deserving, he definitely changed my mind about him this challenge.

Loving that first paragraph. If you look at my post in past forums you'll see the word overrated used constantly to the point where even I'm sick of saying it but people not thinking. And I'm glad you stated this because unlike you, people think of who's stronger as a pyramid chain instead of a possible circle. Example; Since brandon lose to derrick in a physical round and derrick is suppose to lose to tyler in a physical round I bet people will say tyler stronger than brandon because he beat who brandon couldn't when in reality, as you're stating, there's ALWAYS a possibility. And people need to stop using people's physical appearance as a fact. How many muscular dudes we've seen lose easy? I mean wasn't nick brown a personal trainer and got ragged by wes? Lando and darrell are my top two favorites but even I know there's a possibility they can lose FAIR AND SQUARE.

I don't remember much of tyler's abilities that's why when people say brandon's the best on the red team I can't give a definite answer because I haven't seen him or chet performances physically. Chet gain points in my book for finishing a swim with a concussion but still need something physical from him. However, I do feel brandon proved more of an asset than DUMBAR and pretty much tied with brad.
Everybody gain money even if the team is defeated in the final?
Yeah. I think since duel 2 they've made that rule. I like it like that and hope it stays.
Sometimes it's an error to look to someone physical aspect and say that that person is a strong competitor, we saw through the different challenges examples of that, but in the case of Tyler he hadn't that constitution in the previous challenges. There existed an improvement on his physical condition and also in his way of playing the game that as a result lead him to a victory over Derrick in the Gulag and to win money and the challenge.
I have a question. Is it Official/Confirmed that the red team won cuttthroat? Or is it possible that the blue team won cutthroat?
