And just cause they're from an older season doesn't mean they cant gain a fan base- look at Susie. She's an old skool vet and still doing challenges and has a lot of fans.
I feel the older people have more of a fan base I think they'll wait to do a Duel 3 and make this eithier another new format or Ruis 2. Hopefully it is a Old School Vs New School or Vets Vs Rookies Type challenge so it has the potential to be fair.

I think we will see a Tonya return eventually, probably not the next challenge however. I do not think we will ever see Coral, Jodi, Kina, Robin or Beth ever return.

She's been done with MTV for a couple of years and is busy with her daughter, her production company and another business venture. Tonya is finished, too. Really. Sometimes people do move on with their lives.
I for one am glad Tonya is not coming back, for her own good. She is the opposite of Mike Mizanin, in the way that we saw him grow from a sheltered individual to a guy who followed his dream before our very eyes and she went from this girl who learned to over come her past during Chicago and throughout the challenges we saw her slowly degenerate into a drunken mess by the time we saw her on the Ruins.
I do remember somebody telling me about Alton (RW: Las Vegas) on wanting to do another challenge.. which wasn't so long ago when I heard the information.
Just out of curiousity, was this a reliable source? I would love to see Alton do another challenge. It would probably be best to reply to this in the generic thread though so we don't get too far off topic
Yeah it was mentioned here a while back that Alton was interested in coming back.
For some reason this thought creeped into my head, if the challenge gets renewed I see it going like this: Duel 3 Gauntlet 4 (more rookies are available if they place it right before inferno) Inferno 4 Ruins 2 Cutthroat 2 (if cutthroat is succesful)

Thats why I said if it gets renewed :)

I'm sure the challenges will still be around.
BATTLE OF THE SEASONS II EXTREME CHALLENGE 2 CHALLENGE 21 CHALLENGE 2011 BATTLE OF THE SEXES III ALL STARS 2 (WINNERS ONLY CHALLENGE) * Sorry for caps * I think for season 21 they will bring back one of the vintage challenges, I think its a good idea to bring back Extreme Challenge, BOTSeasons, Challenge 2000(2011) NO RV.
I'm sure the challenges will still be around.
These challenges.. are getting poor ratings. So what, Im pretty sure they will renew it. The Real World and these Challenges are too much of a franchise to stop already.
These challenges.. are getting poor ratings. So what, Im pretty sure they will renew it. I would love to see a new Battle of the Sexes, but a lot of the people that I personally would like to see compete probably are no longer interested in coming back, as they haven't been on any of the seasons in a while.

The fact that they renewed RJ Berger tells me they don't have anything better to air right now. Here's a fact: RW:B2NO had 50% higher ratings than RW: DC; up until then ratings had been trending solidly downwards. Why? Well the show had kind of begun to not be fun anymore, but B2NO was better, plus there's no question that Jersey Shore helped. In the same way, I think a huge part of the reason that the Challenge ratings have been falling is because some of the recent seasons have been weaker. I expect that if this season is actually better - upbeat, fun, full of drama - the ratings will pick up again. Plus, again, JS will help. Teen Mom, 16 and Preggers, and JS are much bigger hits for MTV to advertise the show during than The Hills was. So I think its not unreasonable to think the challenge will average 1.5-1.7 million viewers and a 1.0 in the Demo. That should at least get a one season pickup. 2 million viewers and a 1.3 like B2NO might get it locked up. I think to some extent BMP needs to prove they can still do it.
I dont like the idea of just having 1 winner. That workds with ILM because the men are not very athletic. But the men would most likely dominate. I like the idea of just 1 male and 1 female winning though. And I see the Duel format coming back before 3 challenges from now. I dont see them holding out on a Duel 3 for much longer.
I like the 1 winner thing. It would make things alot more interesting. Alliances will crumble and people would have to get up and COMPETE. Not depend on anyone else. I think BMP needs to do more indivitual formats.
I have some data on past ratings for the Real World and the Challenges. Keep in mind this is the average rating throughout each season between the 12-34 market. Real World: Sydney : 2.13 million Hollywood: 2.34 million Brooklyn: 1.92 million Cancun: 1.79 million D.C.: 1.51 million New Orleans: 1.86 million Challenges: Gauntlet 3: 2.41 million The Island: 1.64 million The Duel 2: 1.66 million The Ruins: 1.61 million Fresh Meat 2: 1.12 million

Wow at The Island doing better than FM2 lol!.
Well The Island was the challenge following G3 so I'm assuming any challenge would have faired decent. Besides FM is a lame format, I understand why it's needed but it's just dull. Plus I really didn't see that many ads.
Hopefully with NOLA ratings rising after two seasons with lower ratings, hopefully Cutthroat has the same increase.
After hearing TJ Lavin talk about it and tweet about it.. is MTV actually considering adding Jersey Shore to the Challenge?
After hearing TJ Lavin talk about it and tweet about it.. is MTV actually considering adding Jersey Shore to the Challenge?
This was copied off TJ Lavin's twitter: http://twitter.com/#!/tjlavin Click on the link and on his twitter it is like his eleventh or tenth post on his profile. tjlavin TJ Lavin @ItsTheSituation we need to get u on the next "Challenge". U and @KennySantucci would be a great match let's do this!!! He was including the Situation and Kenny Santucci about being on a challenge together. That is insane, as much as I am not liking the idea. The ratings will boost from a 1.2 average to 5.0 average which could make the Challenges one of the hugest Reality franchises by renewing like for 5 more seasons.
I would stop watching and I've watched since the first crossover between Real World/Road Rules during Boston/Islands, Jersey Shore would bring nothing to these Challenges, plus they would more than likely try to be even bigger camera *****s than the ones we already know. ----- Actually they can do the Island 2 with the Jersey Shore kids and leave them there.
I've been wanting to see the Jersey Shore cast on a challenge/mini challenge. Pit the 8/9 against mid-tier players, maybe one good one (for Ronnie.) Have 4 eliminations, then a final race.

YES! Both Jwoww and Snooki just tweeted their interest on doing a challenge. This will increase the ratings, and frankly I want to see Jwoww and Snooki controling the house....no girl will step up to them Queen B's.....and I don't see no RW/RR guys taking out any of the guys (maybe CT). PLEASE LORD LET THIS HAPPEN! LOL

Probably will happen MTV did it with Spring Break only a matter of time before they bring in Jersey Shore.
No matter what ratings this will bring, this will ruin the challenges IMO. At least the FM kids auditioned for Real World or Road Rules.
I actually don't see them doing well in challenges. Snookie would be horrible in the challenges and be easily eliminated. I know people think she is a tough ***** but honestly I can see a lot of girls defeating her pretty easily and have no problem calling her out. I can see Jwow doing good. She seems athletic. However I don't see her as the biggest threat. I feel some girls would have no problem calling her out. Plus if any of them hit anyone, they will be kicked off and removed immediately unlike on their show. Sam would just ***** about competing and having to actually do something. Angelina would just quit. I don't see Vinny doing that good. He would be like a Dunbar or Vinny from Fresh Meat 2. Ronnie can go either way whether him being great or terrible. Pauly D I can see doing good in challenges but eliminations I have no idea. The Situation for some reason I just feel would be terrible in an elimination. Muscles don't prove ****. You can be the biggest guy and still lose so I can see him being that guy. Personally I don't want them on a challenge but it's not our decision.

Bacchus is Jersey Shore's production company BMP as well?. If its not you think contracts would prevent them from working with BMP?. Also whats your take on it would you be for it? your personal opinion do you think it will ever happen?. Sorry for all the questions just curious if we might see the JS crew on any Challenge show in the near future.
