I'm confused. I thought that the B2Vegas and Cutthroat were the last two "cycles" on the contract. Has there been any word on MTV extending the contract?
There is one more challenge on the current contract, but that does not necessarily mean that MTV will order another challenge from BMP. The ratings may be decent enough to order one more, but MTV is known to be considering that the concept is too tired to continue. My understanding is that the format of Cutthroat was designed to combat the idea that the challenges have become stale.
[strike]according to twitter, knight is training for the next one[/strike] According to Twitter, Knight is training for the next one.
Knight from RW: New Orleans, right?
Knight from RW: New Orleans, right?
Yes. Isn't that the only knight? lol.
I asked because I saw awhile the RW: New Orleans for the first time and want to be sure that was that guy.

Yeah, it should be him.

I'm just hoping Kelly Anne shows up next challenge.
I'm just hoping Kelly Anne shows up next challenge.
I think she will. I'm not sure what people are talking about. Challenge 21 is happening. Trust me. All advertisers and prize providers have been given a notification date of late this month that all products need to be at MTV studios.
Fresh Meat 3 & Duel 3 are going to happen, I think, the challenges seems to have always 3 versions. BOTS I don't know, the second was almost seven years ago...
I would just like to see that format because I didn't get to watch the first two really...
Fresh Meat 3 & Duel 3are going to happen, I think, the challenges seems to have always 3 versions. BOTS I don't know, the second was almost seven years ago...
This is not set in stone.. Duel 3 does have a higher probability of it being Challenge 21, while FM 3 would require a contract re-newal but if it does get re-newed I have a feeling it will be the last contract ever for the Challenges and well doing FM3 would be pointless. The one reason I do think we may get a contract re-newal was cause they did Fresh Meat 2, which would be kinda pointless to introduce these new kids just for 2 Challenges.
I didn't say that those ones that I said were going to happen for sure, I said that having in basis of each challenge has 3 editions. I didn't know also the issue with the contracts. The challenges are going to end soon?
Challenge 21 is the last on the current contract, some say they are done after this, some speculate they may get a chance its up in the air at the moment.
It would be a shame if that challenge end up to be the last one. I like this things a lot. Do you know how many challenges could be in the next contract, if they're going to include them in that?
No clue, if its anything like the last contract after Gauntlet 3..it will be 3 years.
3 years...that's six more challenges since they've started this RW/Challenge/RW/Challenge format
Not if they go with one Challenge per year. With the next Challenge being aired in Summer instead of the spring, I wouldnt be surprised if thats what they plan on doing to save the challenges.
I didn't know that the next challenge was happening in the summer. I thought it would be in the spring. With that being said, is RW getting pushed back because it usually starts in late December.
Yup according to earlier posts, seems RW will start mid feb, early march, while the Challenge 21 starts filming around that time.
Ugh I guess ill continue to watch 16 and Pregnant until then lol. Thanks!!!
Yup according to earlier posts, seems RW will start mid feb, early march, while the Challenge 21 starts filming around that time.
I hope this means The Real World LV cast would be potential cast members on challenge 21.
Yep. They might be. Just like in the good old days lol.
I hope the new contract allow to continue with the challenges for a time (3 years it's good for me, as a fan, but other interests could speak louder). Entropy, when you say that the contract could have the duration of 3 years and one challenge done per year, I understand it like they could do that for not tire the fans, because sometimes we see the same faces in a short period of time doing straight challenges.
What’s the hold up for the Real World 26 Casting Call?
There is one more challenge on the current contract, but that does not necessarily mean that MTV will order another challenge from BMP.
What’s the hold up for the Real World 26 Casting Call?
I don't think there is one. If Challenge 21 isn't airing until June, then RW26 won't air until September. That's 10 months away. If my memory serves that means casting calls should be announced and begin around December-January.
If that's the case then I don't think they did a good job on that.
That is your opinion.
That is your opinion.
I don't think so. Have you been watching this challenge? Alot of the things that have made these challeges stale over the years has creeped their way onto this challenge. The Rookies going home first, the boring, and pathetic drama, the same damn people running the game due to all of their friends and **** buddies being there to back them up. Most (if not all) of it is here.

People have always lasted in the game because of their friends, the drama has always been pointless and ridiculous, and the rookies getting picked off first has been happening at least since BOTS2. The reason it didn't really happen before then is because everyone was essentially a rookie to the challenges.
