How is she making bail? Isn't she broke?
When was she actually picked up is the question
How is she making bail? Isn't she broke?
A bail bondsman paid 20K to get her out. She has already forfeited the 100K from the last time she was bailed out.
Apparently, alcohol did touch her lips or get ingested somehow. At this point, for her own good, I'd sentence her to a court appointed rehab in jail.
I know it is wrong to wish ill will upon someone, but I was rooting all day for the judge to throw the book at her. She needed to learn a valuable lesson and hopefully from here she can turn her life around. Judge Marsha Revel sentenced LiLo after an incredulous prosecutor, Danette Meyers, told the judge that Lohan has been thumbing her nose at the court. The evidence was loud and clear today -- Lindsay violated probation by failing to attend her alcohol ed classes based on the schedule set by the judge. There were lots of excuses, but ultimately they didn't fly. The judge said there was a pattern of violations since Lindsay was placed on probation in 2007 following her plea bargain in her DUI case. Lindsay broke down as she addressed the court, telling the judge, "I did the best I could." Lindsay dissolved into tears when the judge imposed the sentence. Lohan must surrender on July 20 in Judge Revel's court. UPDATE: Sheriff's spokesperson Steve Whitmore just explained ... generally, a female inmate in Lindsay's situation only serves 25% of their sentence ... which means LiLo will most likely spend around 23 days behind bars. So glad the judge didn't fall her act...she has to learn life's hard lessons like everyone else.
I don't even think it's wishing ill of her, because I think the only way she'll ever get her life straight is to be in thrown in jail for a little while. I'm glad to hear that and I really do hope she can get her life back on track.

Except it seems like every time one of these "celebrities" actually gets "sentenced to jail", they only show up there long enough to be processed, look sorry, have their pics taken by the paps, then immediately get released due to "overcrowding". What I'd like to see is her fulfill her FULL 90 DAYS IN JAIL, ****it. Just saying....

Just saying....
They are saying she'll do at least 23 days AND then have another 90 day inpatient treatment obligation to fulfill. The judge hit her pretty hard as if she doesn't complete the inpatient treatment, she is going to be spending lots and lots more time in jail. I think this should be enough to put the fear of God in her. Let's hope so...
Ohh...maybe she'll be on celebrity rehab! :D
Such a great show of respect for the courts and Judge. (Middle finger nail)
Such a great show of respect for the courts and Judge.
Well, the judge threw the book at her, so I guess it is even. The worst case scenario she was expecting was 30 days in jail (which would end up being a week) and she really didn't even expect that... Instead she gets 90 days (which is more like 23 days) AND the 3 months of inpatient rehab (which was the final salvo.) So basically, Lindsay is going to be living somewhere other than home for 4-6 months with rules and regulations which she 100% has to follow and no drugs or alcohol. On that note, I don't think the judge should have given her two weeks to turn herself in. From everything I am reading, the odds of her LIVING until then are right around 50/50. She has scripts for dilaudid, ambien and adderall. A serious painkill that can cease breathing in quantity, a hypnotic that could cause a psychotic break in high doses and an amphetamine that could stop her heart. Gee, I wonder what she did the moment she got home, well besides sucking back a nice dilaudid cocktail, swallowing a bunch ambien and breaking out lines of adderall... Knowing how these celebrities roll, I bet she has that script in at every pharmacy within 20 miles of her home and her assistant is busy right now stopping at every one. I have a bad feeling that we are going to see a TMZ headline pop up over the next few weeks that says something to the effect of, "911 called from Lindsay Lohan's Condo." Followed either by: "She was taken to the hospital where attempts to revive her were successful, although she remains in critical condition" or more likely... "She was later pronounced dead at Cedar Sinai from an apparent overdose of prescription narcotics."
Guess her movie is on hold..........
Guess her movie is on hold..........
Honestly, I think she should get out of the movie business for a few years. I believe her best shot at recovery would be more of a "9-5 job" - be it a sitcom or drama on one of the networks. Less travel, less stress and a steady paycheck. Sure, at first it would be all about guest starring (because execs would never risk a pilot on her in her current state) but maybe over time she could earn the right reputation and find a lucrative, stable job in primetime. Her only hope of breaking back into the movies (I'm talking about movies people actually watch) would be to get sober for 3 or 4 years, practice her craft on the small screen and eventually find the right role and right script from a big name director that is willing to give her a shot and looking for an Oscar type film. However, that is the best case scenario, and it probably will never happen. That said, she'll always have Parent Trap!
That said, she'll always have Parent Trap!
I just saw that the other day...man do I miss the talented Lindsay...this Coke ***** Lindsay is getting old.
I did kind of feel bad for her in the video I saw as her sentence was being read. She looked completely taken by surprise. Heh as far as working with Sheen, he'd probably see it as an opportunity to "work" with one of the few he hasn't at this point.

Her "**** U" nail was enough to make me wanna ***** slap her for thinking she is so above anyone else. She deserves the jail time, and the rehab, but I have no hope for the rehb actually working, assoon as she gets out she will claim ADD and Sleep deprivation and be right back on her rx cocktail. As for Charlie and her...I don't think he would ever be that desperate to jump in the sack with Ho-han.
Dr Drew may have solved his Celebrity Rehab casting problem... Actually, I wish Ms Lohan well. I've never had the animus toward her that most of you have. I can loathe people like Jake Pavelka and a couple of Challenge cast members because they do physical and emotional harm to others. Ms Lohan, however, doesn't appear in that category to me. JMHO, of course.
Actually, I wish Ms Lohan well.
Oh, don't get me wrong, I do as well. I just know she needs help and a drastic life change and I have a feeling that some time in jail and 3 months in rehab might be her ticket out of the mess she has made of her once promising career. In a "hilarious" side note, Lindsay posted this on Twitter yesterday (in pieces..)
It is clearly stated in Article 5 of the U.N. Universal Declaration of Human Rights that...., "No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment." this was taken from an article by Erik Luna.. "November 1 marked the 15th anniversary of the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines. But there were no celebrations, parades, or other festivities in honor of this punishment scheme created by Congress and the U.S. Sentencing Commission... Instead, the day passed like most others during the last 15 years: Scores of federal defendants sentenced under a constitutionally perverted system that saps moral judgment through its mechanical rules."
I'll reserve comment on whatever crazy comparison she is trying to make being we know the UN wrote the above article specifically to address the persecution of someone who drove a 2 ton missile down the highway drunk, while in possession of narcotics who after given every chance by the court system, decided she was above the law, refusing to follow simple a simple court order to attend alcohol education classes weekly and is going to spend 3 whole weeks in jail... She also retweeted this as I am sure in her mind their are parallels to her current situation...
I would love to see her get better and make an amazing comeback, but with the way she has acted as of late, above the law and above anyone and everyone she comes in contact with makes me sick. I just can't stand people who think they deserve special treatment because of "who the are".
Today is the big day. I'm going to snuggle into my lazy boy, throw up TMZ on the laptop with a bowl of popcorn in hand and wait for the festivities to begin. Yes, I know there are better things to do with my day, but this is much better TV than even the most talented of writers could get to paper! Edit: And it is already starting.
Shawn Chapman Holley is going to be by Lindsay Lohan's side in court this morning, representing her after Robert Shapiro bailed on LiLo.
Shapiro bailed on her already? That was fast.
Shapiro bailed on her already? That was fast.
Well he did say he was only willing to represent her if she complied with all the judges terms, as well as his...she obviously didn't listen.
Well he did say he was only willing to represent her if she complied with all the judges terms, as well as his...she obviously didn't listen.
I haven't been paying too much attention...what did she do to not comply now?
I haven't been paying too much attention...what did she do to not comply now?
That little tidbit hasn't came out yet, I am assuming she may have handcuffed herself to the bed at the rehab center thinking that the judge will take pity on her, LOL.
Anyone want to take bets on whether she shows up on time?
Anyone want to take bets on whether she shows up on time?
Nah, that is basically giving money away, LOL. She only has about 12-13 more minutes, hahaha.
UPDATE 8:24 PDT: Lindsay just left her home -- in a black SUV -- and is currently en route to the courthouse ... but L.A. traffic is a *****, so it's unclear when she will arrive.
In other words, she is going to be late...
Let's see...where is her house? Hollywood? And she's trying to get to downtown LA? I'd add on hours served for each minute that she's late... EDIT: At least Michael showed up on time!
