Movie wise its pretty bad when you go into a movie with low expectations and it still fails. Well at least in opinion alone. Most of the people I know who went to see it are NOES fanatics and really enjoyed it. While friends of mine who went and saw it didn't really like it either. But anyway, try watching the originals sometime. You might like those.

I could not stand Tobey MacGuire in the Peter Parker role, maybe because he will eternaly have the face of a 3 yr old.
I was never in any sort of Tobey boat until I saw Brothers... he pulled that role off with conviction. Almost too much...
Jake is great in everything I've seen, and lots I haven't, so I've been told. I think PoP is actually a step backwards for him. Hopefully it ends up being decent... or better.
I saw Iron Man 2 last night. I expected a bit more, but it is worth watching :). I liked it better than the first one. Mickey Rourke is amazing as the villain.
I saw Nightmare on Elm Street last week and I thought it was ok. I am a die-hard fan of the original NOES movie, by Wes Craven, so I went in kind of knowing it wouldn't beat the original. But I must say some parts were pretty good.
Mr. Unamazing, the first one doesn't have cool CGI effects or any new age technology, but the story and deaths were amazing. It had a lot of character build up.
There is actually a documentary that just came out about the Elm Street franchise (excluding the original) and it's 8 hours long. It was Amazing.
I want to see Iron Man II and Prince of Persia. The only thing I'm hesitant about is some sequels, especially in the super heroe genre, try so hard to up the original it doesnt always work out.

Actually 4 hours. Extras are just extras and don't really count towards the documentary itself. Sorry, for nitpicking.
Yeah, I notice that alot of Super-Hero sequels try to out-do their predecessor.
Price of Persia looks good and the graphics do too.
Prince of Persia looks AWFUL. Let's get the whitest guy ever to play the prince...great idea.

I don't know much about the video game, is the main character like really white in the games?
I don't know much about the video game, is the main character like really whire in the games?
it's Persia. Persian people are not white.

That makes it sound like it will be good whenever I go see it this is why I want to see that new Leonardo movie it looks crazy cool.

I am happy you caught that Old Friend! I wasn't sure if anyone on here would know what I was talking about! You are right it is a 4 hour feature, plus 4 hours of extra material (which rocked)

That's why I really enjoy older movies, because a lot is based on storyline, continuity and characters. Now hollywood just wants to make the next big blockbuster.
Hahah The Prince of Persia is being played by such a Preppy, Abercrombie Clad, Caucasian, it's not even funny. But who else do you think Hollywood would pick? Oded Fehr? It's silly, but then again, that's Hollywood and people are going to pay to see the movie!
This is Hollywood guys. It's no surprise they got someone like Jake Gylanbylanhaul or however you spell his last name. It's like how they made that Dragon Ball movie, just awful. It is also just like how they got Indian people to play Chinese people on The Last Airbender movie. The only asian person is the main character, even though the entire villain group is supposed to be Chinese. The main girl character is supposed to be an Eskimo, but they picked a white chick. What the ****? Has anyone seen that show? Is anyone upset that the movie Avatar took the name Avatar from this show? It's supposed to be "Avatar: The Last Airbender". The movie Avatar was awful anyways.

I was kind of upset, because I used to watch the TV show Avatar. The name would've more suitable for this movie.
They needed a name for Prince of Persia and Jake won out. How many actors of Persian ancestry can the average person outside of the Middle East name that can commit to the athletics for the film?
As for Inception, I'll be seeing that. Christopher Nolan is a filmmaker I quickly grew to trust for original stories after Memento.
Inception has everything cool story that sounds way better then Matrix as a concept. They have Leonardo who is good in almost any movie I've seen. The director is great. The only question with the movie I really have is can Ellen Page carry her weight in the movie? Either way the trailer was awesome and I'm totally comitted to this one.
Inception is a lot like the Matrix as both are Mage games. It would be too complicated to explain that statement unless you are truly a gamer (not a console or computer jockey gamer either).
Simply put: both involve entering another realm where the bending of the laws of physics and belief in what you are doing will enable you to manipulate the landscape.
Yeah, I knew they seemed similar. I just liked the concept better that you can imagine your own world and create all the time. In Matrix the structure seemed to have rules and here there really isn't.
There is still structure but consider how easily they move around in it like how easy Morpheus did compared to Neo's first attempts. These guys do it for a living and are not necessarily on the run the whole time.
Pretty much also the characters seemed to not be wearing any ridiculous clothing attire and weird sunglasses. Which at least to made it seem much better.

WTH? Avatar was no way near awful. People are just hating because of the hype. And yeah Dev from Slumdog Millionnaire and the british degrassi series, SKIns is a cast member in TLA.
Avatar is a very pretty film but it is still Pocahontas redone. Saw it once and don't need to see it again. Hurt Locker won the Best Oscar over it for a reason.
