I want Tonya to come back to another challenge , I don't think she will for a couple more though. But when she does come back, hopefully she's in the shape she was in for BOTS2 - Inferno 3!
I don't think she can make a comeback. She's such an easy target, people will vote her in without a second thought. Well I guess they'd keep her if you want to keep the weak ones until the end.
She needs to get herself together before she does another challenge. She shouldn't have been on "The Ruins"....she still had a lot of issues and should've stayed home and dealt w/ them.
I still dont understand her 180 change between bots1/gauntlet1 to bots2. she was a completely different person in bots2.
in bots1 she refused to do a challenge because it involved taking your clothes off if you get an answer wrong. Veronica said it was because of her boyfriend and her family, but in bots2 she was more than willing to strip her clothes off....
and Rachel was the one who volunteered to switch partners and Tonya reluctantly agreed as said in Lori's blog. They edited to make it seem the other way around.
Tonya was a good competitor in BOS1 she decided to take one for the team and partern up with Amaya cause nobody else wanted to, it ended up costing her because Amaya disqualified their team and Tonya ended up spraining her ankle and didnt do well in the remaining competitions because of her ankle.
Tonya has done well physically in every challenge she has been on, her weakest moments were probably in the Inferno 2, but she still made it to the end on that one.
She hasnt been on twitter lately, anybody know what shes been up to lately?
I hope shes on the next challenge :)
I hope she's not for her own sake. From her twitter, she seems a lot happier and healthier in her regular life, when she's far far away from challenges.
I want her on Challenge because she is one of my favourites. But I agree that she seems a lot happier and healthier in her regular life, when she's far far away from challenges.

In all fairness to her she was going through a divorce at that time, and she had a lot of built up anger towards Veronica.
And her change from BoS1 and Gauntlet 1 to BoS2 had to do with her and her breaking up with Justin. Sometimes ending relationships can completely change a person and their frame of mind and thats exactly what happened to her.
Tonya had a clear head on Fresh Meat and Inferno 3, the Island she was a bit crazy but thats because she didnt have some medicine that she needed or something which made her emotional.
She probably shouldnt have done the Ruin's but now that she has gotten herself to a happier and better place, I think that she can handle doing another challenge. I Mean she even said on her twitter that she didnt even like watching the Ruin's and didnt want to talk about the whole Veronica thing because she knew she was wrong and was in a bad place at the time. I can see her wanting to come back very soon and showing people How far she has come and that she is doing better and ready to kick some butt. She does usually do a challenge skips the next one then comes back.
As far as physicality on the Ruin's she def. could have taken the competition by storm and beatin all of the challenger females in any competition, she is a very strong asset to her teams, Evan, Kenny and Johanna all aknowledged that on an after show. I cant wait to see her come back healthy and strong for her next challenge.
Well on BoS1 she said she didnt want to do the nudity challenge because she was already having problems with her boyfriend. And on BoS2 she said she was recently single. So either way she had a boyfriend.
Yes Tonya was married on the Inferno 3 to some random dude.

I have to disagree with this. I think she will always be unstable.
Wow one challenge...sorry, I'm not an encyclopedia. Overall, she is good competitor. V1 posted a list that the cast made of all the girls from the Thailand challenge and Ev, KA, and Tonya were in the top 3. Regardless, I've always thought she was great.
Competition-wise, she's not bad. Not the best but certainly not the worst. She has her good and bad days. But mentally, she is broken. That's the impression I get, anyway.
Thats a really negative thing to say. She hasnt always been unstable either. She was great in Bos1 and Gauntlet 1. She was also pretty well off on Fresh Meat and Inferno 3. She was a wild child on Bos2 and Inferno 2, but really what young girls in their early twenties arent? On the island she wasnt really unstable she was just a little emotional. The Ruins was pretty much the only challenge that she has been on where she was unstable. I think she can move on from that, I think she already has moved on from that actually.
Also physically she has been the best and has never been the worst. I think the only women that could beat her that currently does challenges, physically are Evelyn and Rachel, and I still think Tonya could up a fight against them.

Yes she was married to Adam Esch and lived in a small town in Nebraska called Spalding... were she worked in a grocery store (HA) she has since got a divorced which you all seen on the Ruins....
She's in a much better place now for certain. Will she do another one? I hope so.
OMG, I thought she was dead when I read that. lol. Whew!
I don't know where she is now, but last her twitter tweet was in Mar 14th... Long time ago...
She is still where she was on March 14, but some new business opportunities and other commitments have taken the place of twitter at present.

"HA?" An interesting comment; however, to illuminate: Adam is a co-owner of the grocery store and of several other businesses and properties in Spalding (pop 536) and the surrounding area. Most small business owners do work in their own stores. Tonya was no exception.
They were actually married privately in Cabo perhaps a year before Tonya taped "The Scorned" in 2005. Adam appeared briefly in the companion reality show, "Kill Reality" which was shot at the same time as "The Scorned," and in a show shot in 2005 (Produced by Suzanne Murch at VH1) which has never aired.
She was approached last year to do three shows for other networks, but she is happy with her post-TV life.
Aww I'm happy that she is happy but I would love to see more of her on TV. Real World Chicago was the first season I watched and I have been in love with her ever since.
So does this mean that she will not be doing any more challenge apperances?
I really hope she changes her mind and does more television shows.

Correct. Not that there's many more appearance possibilities anyway...
It's not true or false. It's just that MTV only ordered so many seasons and I think there's only 2 left currently. Always a possibility they will order more seasons, though a lot of people speculate that based on the ratings, there's a better chance they wont.
Sorry to derail the the Tonya topic.
I still think Tonya will be back for more challenges for sure.

I have a feeling she will do at least one more once she's settled comfortably.
Whatever floats your boat... Thinking and feeling are poor substitutes for actually asking her if she will return. She is very approachable, although she is so busy working that she is not often on Facebook.

I don't. I really don't think the challenges are the best place for someone like Tonya. I hope she's happy living a much quieter life.

As already noted, she has not posted on her Twitter account since March either.
Also this is not the first time Tonya has said that she wont be doing anymore challenges. I remember publicly announcing that on True Life before doing Fresh Meat. She then did 3 more challenges after that!
People always say they are done but they seem to always come back for more. Not saying that this is the case for Tonya but it's likely.
