IMO Cancun was a Really good season!
They need to cast 4 Really good looking people and 4 maybe like Ashley(DC) or Mike(DC)
Jenn is just jealous of the gorgeous girls they had for that season.
Fans Like me want to see fights, drama, girl hookups and a good looking cast , the opposite of DC .

Okay but the 2 people chosen in my group were so boring. I understand your point that they want attractive people. Personally I rather have 8 decent or even average looking roommates with awsome personalities and good stories rather than 8 good looking boring people who think that since their good looking they don't have to do much. I mean look at D.C. They were all good looking, minus Josh and Andrew, but still were boring. The Cancun had a good looking cast but they were boring. Both seasons had terrible ratings. Maybe people might tune in for the first episode or two but then people don't even care anymore. Looks can only take you so far. I know I am only one person and my opinion is the most important but I know a lot of people two who don't for looks. It is not like I will be meeting these people I am watching on the show. It gets old watching them same people just drink, get drunk, and argue about the same thing every episode and every season. I mean if the past 2 seasons of a show I was casting for did terrible, maybe you should change how you guys cast your shows because obviously it is not working with how you are doing it now.

They haven't had HOT girls like Cameron (Molds- if you're gonna waste your time editing my posts like changing Cami to Cameron, at least spell the name right), Johanna, Kelly Anne, Cara, Svetlana and girls like that in forever...these girls recently have not been sexy flirtatious and hot like those girls. Emily...Katelynn...the dark haired chick from DC- I get it, they're trying to make a change a more grown up appeal to change, no h8, causes.. even Sarah with her punk look but they haven't been hot!! And even if there have been hot girls I didn't notice them because like you said rwrrfan- they're hot without the personality. Out of 20,000 people you have to be able to find 9's and 10's with big personalities and a fun story. I know my cousin is one of them even though I wasn't so I know they're out there and I know he can't be the only one.

Okay, again I agree they are looking for good looking people. Still it hasn't answered the question of why the 2 boring people at my table who were good looking were chosen. I understand they are looking for good looking people with personalities but why would they just take people who are good looking and boring? I was the only one at my table with a story and I am not ugly so why would they take the very very risky chance of asking those 2 back who were boring and not me. I mean they could have chosen all 3 of us. Plus those two were friends. I don't know. I know I sound like a sore loser and all but I just felt that the casting is more shallow than I thought it really was. This series will not continue much further with casting like this. I am not the only one who feels this way and many people got screwed at that casting.
Yeah my example wasn't for your casting- I think thats bull****. If they didn't have personality that's ****ty and if you had a big one they should have went for it.

Alot of people were trying WAYYY to hard, including myself. I hate to sound like a broken record but I think you just have to be yourself. Don't try and be what you think they want. When I was put on the spot I kinda tensed up and forgot what I was gonna say. So I said a bunch of random BS that in the end really made no sense
I thought Cancun was a good season. Had a couple of boring episodes but overall it was good. And any straight male would give Ashley a big fat 10.
I think the RW looses its self by trying to be a serious reality show, but at the same time trying to compete with other reality shows that can be out right obnoxious. BMP casting directors know the show is in trouble, so half of them say "drunken hot drama is good" and the other half says "great stories and people with substance are cool".

I'm straight. I don't think Ashley is unattractive, but she's not the best-looking person I've ever seen.
Just got a VIP pass for the Seattle casting, but from the sounds of it it doesn't sound like it means much. I don't think I'm going to go to it though. It's the same day as this really big event I've been planning for the last 5 months...

Hey guys! new to this place! I auditioned for RW25, and had some questions. I read through this entire thread, and was just curious.
1. I sent an email with an out of area request cause i live in a small town in idaho. I got an email back saying i advanced to the second round and got a HUGE AP! i know this happens at casting calls, but i was wondering if it was common and no big deal that it happened completely over email? Or is it something to get excited about.
2.I read earlier in this forum about email adresses. My email told me to reply to realworldcasting @bunim-murray.com. Is that one ok???
3. Finally, what happens next since this has been online. I turned in the 20 page app. Skyp? Phone call?
Anyone have answers for me, ill love you forever!!! Thanks yall!!!

well when they were casting for the D.C. season I got an email from casting telling me I advanced to the second round and was also given the long application. Unfortunately I didn't check my emails and missed the audition (I was so mad lol). I have heard it happens often but I honestly don't know what happens after since I was stupid and missed the opportunity lol. However with my email they sent me the application and told me to come to an audition in NYC around 5pm for a private casting with the directors. I assumed that it was the on camera interview with them but again I am not 100% positive. They also said if I cannot attend at 5pm then I can go early but it was advised the 5pm was the best time. Till this day I wonder what if I went to the audition? Would have I had made it? Il never know. I feel like I would have taken Mike's spot if cast since I am gay and I was passionate about gay rights. For you application, how did you send it to them?

I thought you had to go to the casting call or send in a tape to advanced to the second round. I thought you send a email in to get a VIP Pass (Which didnt mean nothing this season)

You can advance to the second round without going to a casting call. I don't know hoe rare it is but it does happen. It's very deep into casting now so sometimes they probably don't have time for an interview with the person. Also for this person they live in a place with no casting calls by them
Has anyone gone the hometape route and have heard anything back? if so, how long?
I'm starting to think that the hometape route is A LOT slower process than email or a casting call.
How many people in general do you think go the hometape route vs. a casting call?

I heard it is a really long process. They probably don't start reviewing tapes until after the casting calls are complete.

I feel like they review tapes the same time as casting calls. After the tape, if they like you, you move onto the next round which is the long application. Also that main director guy said that they watch every single tape they receive so doing it after all the casting calls would take forever. They wouldn't select the cast then till like July since there are so many tapes and then figuring out who they like out of all those tapes. I'm sure they do casting call and review video tapes simultaneously.

Hey...I think this post is so funny because I'm at work bored and I wanted to see what people felt about the NY casting...the preppy girl and guy are myself and my friend ha...too funny thanks for the no personality shout out...FYI you said "trying too hard" is totally correct on your part. At the end of the day they told us we made it because we were relaxed and didn't put on a show for anyone...if there anything I can say to someone trying out is to chill out no one wants a performer on TV. Yeah, we did both say dumb **** because we didn't we care that much, it was definitely a cool experience...and you were nice, I'll give that to you, but you over did it and talked away too much...(tried too hard) now you know for next time...PS we are far from preppy I love that you say that. I can't wait to tell my friend, he will definitely get a good laugh out of it...thanks!
One more thing... I didnt realize there was a whole disussion about how "boring" we were... you guys or Rwfan whatever it is need to chill out. Small world lol. Weird as it is, I'm excited you saw my comment lol. Anyway don't mind my comments. I tend to be an ******* especially when I'm stressed or don't get my way. Plus with my finals for class all this week I'm on the edge alot and the casting call just added more anger to me lol. Ok so I'm happy you thought the same thing about the black girl. She was nice but when she started talkin about being naked, I was like huh. I'm happy your friend though made a comment under her breath which I think I only heard lol. She was like "i don't think anyone would take pics of you" or something like that lol. I felt bad or the Asian girl cause she was so nice but was just blah. The first kid who went I couldn't understand what he was saying so I felt bad. I feel like I had a good story but i think I wasn't agressive enough. I think I noticed when she asked me how I would respond to someone who thinks homosexuality was a choice and I gave an answer that wasn't like crazy. Also thank you for asking me questions.
