When can we expect to see this full write-up??? I'm so excited!
Well, I've sort of reconsidered posting it quite yet. I've received dozens of emails from various sources close, very close, or even within the production. I guess lips are looser as they pack it up.
For several reasons I'm going to keeping some of this stuff close to the vest.... You may just see me spill the beans on this stuff on a TV show soon.... But, no worries, you won't have to wait that long for some of the interesting facts to be spilled.
In the interim, just know this: I'm told by several production folks that they won't be able to show an incredible amount of footage on television since it would otherwise be rated NC-17!
I can tell you that this time next week, most of the cast will have left DC.
Hopefully this season is as great as previous seasons have been. Can't wait to see the supposed balcony toss.
Well as much drinking and sex that was had, it's bound to be interesting on TV. When bar owners say "they were messes, all of them," that's bound to translate into some craziness. Definitely keep a lookout for the cheating-on-my-girlfriend-with-a-dc-socialite drama one of the cast members will have. Also interesting will be the "Mike's so hot, we all want to sleep with him" boy-girl-boy-boy-boy situation. Erika's departure will make for a good episode (and the lead up to that should be interesting). Callie's intolerance for alcohol (physically she seemed to have had the most pukage in public) and Ty's womanizing and excessive drinking will make great storylines. Andrew who now has a girlfriend got the most action out of all the roommates.
Oh and the throwing a roommate off the balcony incident is not "supposed" it's true. It happened. And you'll see it. Especially since it spurred the house meeting that would have ended up with somebody expelled had Erika not left... Or at least so I'm told.
There you have it. A compromise. Enough teaser to please, but not enough to be a spoiler!
If you're in DC you can catch the roommates at Gallery Plan B for an exhibit that will feature Andrew's paintings, Callie's photographs and Emily's poetry tonight 6:30pm-9pm.
Otherwise, look for them this weekend at any of the major March for Equality GLBT events. And then they'll start packing and sending their stuff back home as well as packing their bags and leaving the house.
They can do whatever they want, I'm all for a crazy season, as long as they have some depth to them and they aren't as horrible as the Cancun kids. Such cretins, some of them.
so is mike officially bi or is he just a gay guy who will fool around with girls (like Davis)?
Well, officially he claims the former, though the latter appears more likely.
So is there a replacement for Erika?
No.
It's unclear whether this woman who works in radio and was in several beauty pageants was ever going to be the replacement roommate. One theory is that it got out (to folks like myself) and BMP chose to pass on having a replacement. Another theory is that there was never a planned replacement since it was an 8 cast member season.
I'm not sure we'll ever know which is the case.
I'm guessing Erika had something to do with the balcony incident.. Hmm, this season [from people's mouth] sounds like it's quite something!
I was actually guessing Ty, as wiggy said that he has problems with excessive drinking.
so is mike officially bi or is he just a gay guy who will fool around with girls (like Davis)?
I'll throw in my two cents on this one...and if memory serves it harkens back to a line of discussion earlier in the forum...
Mike strikes me as a fascinating character, and I can't wait to get to know him more as the season airs. From all that has been said about Mike on this forum, it seems that he might be one who defies labels. He is reported as the "gay" character early on because he is seen kissing men in public but later he is reported as being a kissing bandit among the ladies as well. Is he gay? bi? curious? straight? Who knows, but he presents (at least from whatever limited perspective we can have here) as comfortable in his own skin and at ease with who he is and what he wants. Most importantly, he seems to treat people kindly. I don't hear his name mentioned in the drama...at least not a lot. More positively, we see videos of him dancing at the pool, leading others in a great time, and almost all the reports we hear say that he is just plain nice. And he chooses (?) to work for HRC, so he likely cares about peoples' rights and well being.
So, even though I was among the first to be stoked that this fine-looking man was reportedly "gay," and I was waiting to hear about him tearing up the gay scene in DC, I have to say that at the end of their time in DC, I find myself anxious to get to know the real Mike, no matter who he sleeps with. My expectations are that he will be among the coolest and most likeable in the cast.
Who gets your vote?
Real World DC finished taping today..
Wiggy, I do have a question. A couple of days ago, did you post on your twitter that they were doing promo shots for the show? If so did they bring back Erika, because thats the only reason they brought back Joey for the finale on Cancun.
I am procrastinating and one of the RW DC roommates has tweeted, time to start twitter stalking for spoilers...lmao.
I wonder if BMP is going to be mad that they were somehow on Twitter during production...

Yeah I SAW that too. It was inevitable though, especially with their season so highly publicized. I think how much coverage the next season gets will depend on the location.
Hey all. I reported earlier today about the show's cast being sent home unexpectedly today. Cast members originally had confirmed airline tickets on Oct. 14 to return home. However, due to the amount of information I have had access to, producers chose to secretly make plans to get the cast out of DC with no media coverage. From what I'm told, roommates were informed within the last 24-hours that they were in fact leaving today.
I received word on their rushed departure within hours of that decision.
I have a ton more to write, but thought I should give a first hand update.
Bye bye, roommates! So nice to see you at the NEM on Sunday! Was fun sharing secret gestures and waves most of the afternoon. Thanks to those of you related to, friends with, co-workers of, and production for Real World DC. You are all amazing.
More coming in a day or two.
Does anyone know if the cast his to sign contracts to stay silent till season airs? I wonder I'd we might meet them in cyberspace ...here maybe?
It wouldn't surprise me. 7/8 of the Cancun roommates posted here before their season aired.
Does anyone know if the cast his to sign contracts to stay silent till season airs? I wonder I'd we might meet them in cyberspace ...here maybe?
Generally they haven't until the season starts, yet over half of Cancun's cast was on Vevmo talking about their season before the premiere. So, seeing as we already know who they are, they might be a bit less lenient. But who knows what goes through BMP's mind...
Emily is tweeting, I hope they join Vevmo soon. ;)
Thanks It would be cool to hear from them here. How do you guard against impostors?
Thanks to this forum (and you guys that keep it going), I have never anticipated a season of Real World as much as I do this one.
Thanks It would be cool to hear from them here. How do you guard against impostors?
I use a variety of techniques, starting with having them confirm their account via facebook, along with using IP data and other less obvious undisclosed methods in vetting to prove that a person posting on Vevmo is who they say they are...
