Fresh Meat 2
Rumors abound that the next Real World/Road Rules Challenge will in fact be the sequel to Fresh Meat. I'm told production has been making calls to rejected Real World applicants, inquiring about their availability in early September. Although "Fresh Meat 2" has not been specifically brought up, it is quite logical that if they are seeking out cast members for a Challenge that have not previous been on the franchise Real World (or Road Rules) series, it is indeed going to be a continuation of the much talked about and somewhat controversial Fresh Meat. While I personally have mixed feelings about bringing aboard more cast members who will be taking up precious screen time without a well defined back-story, at least there is an opportunity for the current juggernaut of cast regulars to be broken up and possibly dethroned. Ok, I know...wishful thinking. On another note, if they are going to bring in Fresh Meat and conceivably pair them up with generation one Fresh Meat, shouldn't they finally change the name of the show to something more fitting such as, "The Real World and a bunch of people you have never heard of Challenge Series?" I could see a challenge or two from now where the majority of cast members were never actually on The Real World or Road Rules... Edit: I was not doing the math. This will be a challenge that has more randoms than actual Real World/Road Rules cast members. The Challenge series is officially an MTV side show and no longer has any connection to the franchise that brought it to bear.
I have been waiting for this thread :(
Yeah!!! At least we get some brand new castmembers since Road Rules is done. I'm excited for this! Hopefully there's some cool new people to take over challenges, so that those who currently run the challenges will take a back seat.
definitely looking forward to this.

Bacchus that lost comment hurt lol....I will seriously not watch that season, if Real World and Road Rules are out numbered. I hope the new Fresh Meat group are awesome, and have amazing qualities. I think we might see 1 or 2 of them come from the Online casting, considering the drama "the one that should not be name," and Ayiiia brought.

The icing on the cake. Get ready Bacchus..:torch:
Interesting. I too think it has good potential by bringing in new people since we only have 1 show to pull form now, but I don't want RW/old RR to be outnumbered. I did enjoy Fresh Meat though, the good old days before Evan was corrupted ;), so hopefully this will help to spice things up and break up the ring leaders!

I'm actually interested to see what alumni they will pick. Considering they will have a really small pool of alumni to pick from, I doubt we will see season 1 Fresh Meat considering most of them were on the last challenge.

Are they really having that hard of a time finding "real" former castmembers to do these challenges? Unless they are still trying to cater to the teeny-boppers of course... I like the Fresh Meat, its no secret, but I never thought they would make another one. And I really find hard to believe other cast members don't want to do a challenge. Sure most of the older ones have moved on, but they still have a crop of new ones to pick from. I'm wondering if some of the Cancun cast will be on there. LOL, it will be like the Austin cast all over again.
I think they probably need more people to do challenges, so they just opted for this. I can see some of the original Fresh Meat coming back to do this.

I'm with TJ....I just want to see who they are going to cast. I pray Ayiiia will be cast, and does extremely well :-).

I think over time, there will be RW/RR vs. FM.

BTW....if Fresh Meat cast are invited back, than there will be more FM than RW/RR....ughh I hope I like the new FM. I also hope they don't call the same FM2 people over and over again. Remember Aviv....man she was awesome.
I just hope its not some sort of battle of the Fresh Meats. Fresh Meat 1 alumni paired with newbie Fresh Meat 2. Whatever the outcome, I am excited to see some new faces. As long as they are buff and cute. But that's not being picky or anything.

The original Fresh Meat kids are so ingrained into the series at this point I highly doubt they would even consider doing a challenge without them. Count on the majority of this cast being people who were never on The Real World or Road Rules. :(

I hope it's fresh meat vs. alumni!!!
I have mixed feelings on this potential challenge. I have felt since FM1 that you should pay your dues on a RW/RR show, instead of just jumping into challenges. I also don't think I can handle another "Kenny" type in these shows, and I am sure one would be cast. These challenges originally started for RW/RR members not random-mc-no-names who want to challenge "reality stars." Sorry I am such an old fashioned fist shaker at things like this! And unless they just use a complete cast of these mc-no-names and all rookie challengers...there will always be alliances of some sort! They should figure out a way to make alliances more difficult, now that would be cool! No Alliances for FM2!!!! : )

I'm actually curious to know. If any of you got calls to appear on Fresh Meat, would you do it? Or would you be like OMG I wasn't on RW or RR..no way I'm not taking a paid vacation!! Just wondering....
I wouldn't do it. I think it's more interesting to do RW or RR, because people get to see who you really are before you do a challenge.

Instead of wasting money on FM....why don't they just bring back the ORIGINAL RR format (not Viewers Revenge). I mean think about it. RR is probably less expensive to make, and that means if they do a challenge once a year, they can give higher cash prices, and apperance fees, and that can make some really old vets come back to challenges. It just sucks that the future challenges will consist of people who never been on RW or RR, and we never build a connection with them. Plus to make the situation even worse, these new RW castmates really don't seem interested in doing a challenge. Hollywood, Brooklyn, and probably DC will be just to busy to do it.
Heh, I would. I'd rather do a challenge than anything, honestly.
I wish if they had casting calls for this, so you can audition:).
I hope this is true. I just hope they have more interesting characters than last one.

Thanks producer. I was just wondering cause of BMP called me up, I would be the first to say yeah. And not because I want to be a reality star, because the challenges look so fun. If I wanted to be on TV, I would have tried out for a lot reality shows, not just RW. I'm with you on the , why not just bring RR Back? And your right about the new cast members. A lot of the Brooklyn cast had other obligations when they got called for the ruins, since they are following their "dreams" and what not. The two that said that they would do a challenge, publicly, didn't do one. I was very surprised not to see Scott on the ruins, since in his audition tape, he expressed interest in one. And DC seems more like a Brooklyn season too. I just don't know. I guess it is good that the RW is getting career motivated people instead of ********** but its not looking good for the challenges.
