Ok, so I stop checking Vevmo for a while and I come back today only to find out that The Real World is currently being filmed literally 6 blocks from my apartment! I so have to go check the house. I'm most likely doing that later this afternoon. It's really just a 10 minute walk from my place! I read they were at Chicha Lounge the other night and I happen to go there all the time. Man, this is going to be so interesting :)
I don't know if it's me since I live in DC and I'm therefore really interested in this season, but has any other reason caused this much interest in people at this point? I read a few threads about this season and I don't remember ever having seen anything like this.
I have always wanted BMP to film The Real World in DC (where I live) and in Puerto Rico (where I'm from) so I guess it's 1 down, 1 to go for me. :)

By mid-afternoon they crashed a 4th of July block party in the 2100 block of Florida Avenue, NW. (Which required them to step outside the Real World house, cross Connecticut Avenue and the party/bbq was literally on the next block and attended by at least fifty or so revelers. I of course was among them! At first I thought that a party was going on at the RW house, since I basically walked from my car, past the RW house and was met by several of the girls milling about the front of the house with their respective camera entourage. Notable: blue solo cups were in hand...on the sidewalk...and I'm sure they weren't drinking milk. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]I had arrived at said block party about ten minutes before (gasp) even Executive Producer Jim Johnston made a cameo at the party, along with every camera man and camera woman as well as the army of boom-microphone carrying sound mixers. Also present: DC's most hated camerman--the cameraguy henceforth refered to as 'the blond jerk with the glasses and Apple T-shirt who challenged a confrontation with [URL="http://www.wusa9.com"]WUSA9.com l Washington, DC | Home[/URL] CBS News several days prior. (More on him some other time -- but, trust: this is not the last word on this guy whose face made several local and national news stories)[/SIZE]

And the cast and others eventually boarded it to be driven around town from bar to bar. First, however, the cast boarded a yacht on the Potomac River and enjoyed libations and the national fireworks (which, were fantastic if I might just say so).[/SIZE]

[SIZE=2]Several faux sightings occured throughout the night on Saturday - mostly because various camera crews were filming at several clubs around town (though I'm not even certain those were MTV/BMP cameras). Odd however is the sudden influx of two-to-four person camera crews all over the city (although, I would imagine that they need to shoot a ton of B-roll as filler and establishing footage for editing). [SIZE=2]This morning a reporter friend of mine and I ventured to the house early in the morning to speak with the two security guards who sit outside the house at night -- one in a souped up SUV and the other in a run down hooptie. We asked them if they were security for the premesis and if we could ask them some questions about the large groups of people who venture to the house to get a glimpse. Also, we wanted to know whether it was true that somebody threw a rock (or other object) at the cast members -- a report that has been circulating. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]Bubba (we'll call him) is a 6-foot tall, 380 pound African American man. He was standing on the sidewalk, holding a magazine and leaning in toward the driver of the hooptie. They were clearly having a conversation. Snoop (we'll call the second man) was reclined almost all the way back in his filthy car (looking stoned, to be perfectly honest). [/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]"I don't know what you're talking about," Bubba responded to the question of whether they were part of security. "I'm just talking to my cousin over here," he continued and gestured to Snoop. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]"Really? Well, you have TV/FILM parking permits -- are you sure you aren't security for MTV's Real World which is shooting in this house," we asked. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=2]At this point we were directed to "come back sometime during normal business hours, and right the doorbell and somebody will be able to speak." Wouldn't that be interesting? Ringing the bell and having Mike or Josh or Emily or any of the others come to the door to address our security-oriented questions... [/SIZE]

She apparently wants to work with children. She is incidentally also religious and has a medical condition -- she mentioned this at The Big Hunt on Sunday evening. She claimed that because of the condition she needed to not drink that night, "I've been drinking for three days," she reportedly said.[/SIZE]
