Check him for 'roids!
I've read the Mitchell report. You'd better start shuttering your glass house before it gets rough around here, lol.
You did have Ivan "Balco" Roidrigez on your team for some time, right? ;)
I'm happy that the Sox won.
I'm not so happy that:
1) I didn't get to watch the game.
and 2) that I finally just got home after being stuck in traffic at Fenway for 45 minutes or so. Not so bad and deffinetly could've been there alot longer. But after being stuck sitting in a hospital for 4 hours I was pretty much at the end of my rope. :treaten:
Sorry, I had to rant about that.
In my mind, I am buying what the Globe is selling this morning: That Manny just started juicing when he went to LA to get the big contract.

The only reason I would buy that is if he was actually HURT when he left and his "miraculous recovery" that we saw was from him taking the "prescription" meds to recover from the injury so he could move on from Boston and get a big contract. I see that as totally plausible, and if true, I blame Boras. :)
THEO IS A GENIUS! He works in mysterious ways, and I learned long ago not to doubt him. For all the "mistakes" he has made, he's made up for it 10 fold in his smart moves.
My love for Jason Bay grows with every game.
Can I just say that I am so horribly annoyed with the awful sound they have on VS. right now! I can hardly hear the announcers, which would usually be fine, but they are just loud enough to distract me and it gets really annoying. The crowd sound is either way too loud or the announcers mics are way too low, but the balance sucks. Ugh.
Ok 5 minutes left to score 2 more to tie, 3 to win! We need this Bruins, c'mon!!
Ugh. Our D is tired and not helping out Thomas at all. Sadness...
That game is done...
I don't have VS, but the score on NESN says game over. :(

Yeah, I don't have NESN so I am stuck with VS and this game is SO over. They are just skating around with no direction, sloppy passes, not getting rebounds...just bad hockey.

I can't watch....
Too painful.
I am looking for the reset at 3-1.
The last week has been terrible for the Cardinals. Yuck! 2-5
Lost to Washington on Saturday in ugly fashion. Got swept in a 2 game series by the hated Phillies. Then we swept the Pirates as we should have. Now we have looked like *** against the Reds after losing the last 2.
Wainwright must be our stopper against the Reds and tough righty Volquez. Avoid the sweep!
Roger Clemens on the new book out about his fall from grace and his use of performance-enhancing steroids:
"Common sense. Our family has a history of heart conditions. My brother had a heart attack in his late 40s. My step-dad died of a heart attack. I mean, it would be suicidal for me to even think about taking any of these dangerous drugs."
Who can spot what's wrong with that statement?

hahaha my step father died of a heart attack... I guess he should be worried about it running in the family!!

This brings up an interesting topic...what would you give up to have your team win the World Series this year?

If you had asked me that question pre-2004, you would have gotten a very different answer ;)
Now what would I give to have my Sox take it all this year? If it could be proven/agreed that this team was 'roid free I would give about just as much as I would have in '04. That way I could have a little peace knowing that they can do it without a bit of help and the past 2 championships would feel much more validated.
Don't even get me started on Clemens!
Yeah, but did you see his mark of stupidity?
That he thinks his step-dad's heart attack will somehow effect his family health history? Yeah way to go Clemens, genetics are not your strong point!
A bit of a double entendre, no?

Oh Scoscia, you amuse me...
The Angels wanted more from Joyce – Masterson out of the game.
“Under the circumstances, certainly there’s an argument for an ejection,” Scioscia said. “If they’re going to take the trouble to warn us before a game and give us a head’s up, there’s obviously something they’re looking for.
“They’re trying to sift through intent and sometimes it’s a tricky thing. I think what happened last time we were here, and especially after giving us a head’s up, I think if the pitcher can’t pitch inside and do it with some kind of professionalism he loses that privilege. I think that something should have been done.”
It's JUSTIN MASTERSON for cripes sake! You think he threw that intentionally, and that there was enough there to get him thrown out just because both teams had been warned because of the actions of YOUR team the last time we met? Right. He had also missed about every pitch before that so he was obviously having trouble that day. You are not the type of player/person/manager I think we should be taking advice on professionalism from.
