The Duel II: Aftershow Host

I wish they would bring Blair back. It's too weird seeing a contestant host the after show. I like Mark and all but I'd much rather see Blair.

And I think it's great that he was there and he's hosting, he can give us the dirt and call people out! :D

I know but is that really up to the host? It just feels weird knowing that the host and interviewer will be calling people out. I loved that Blair just let the interviewee answer the questions and did not really give his input much. I like Mark but I just think it's weird knowing a contestant's the host. I don't like the idea of the host calling anyone out.

Honestly, its not really fair for someone who participated in the challenge itself to host.

My point is, at least in my opinion, Mark is very talented in a hosting position. He's good at talking to people and making things interesting. I guess it came out wrong in my first post.

So many people on here want to know what really went down, and here is the opportunity.It is like looking a gift horse in the mouth.....

Oh I agree. I loved his "reality remix" show he used to host with Kennedy on Fox Reality Channel. I can't believe they'd bring the Aftershow back without Blair, I wonder if they asked him.

I did like Blair hosting the aftershow but having Mark there does had an interesting dynamic to the entire thing since he was there. Plus G4 has Blair over there so who knows if he even could if asked.

I just thought he disappeared after the After show ended. Good to know he's still doing stuff.

I think Mark is a wonderful host, however, I don't think he should be hosting a show he participating in. His hosting abilities have nothing to do with my opinion. It would be like Chet hosting the RW Brooklyn reunion. I think they should have brought someone from outside of the show.

I like Mark, and good for him getting the opportunity to host again, but the deal with him hosting and being a Duel 2 castmember feels weird to me as well. But on the other hand, as he commented on, no one can beat around the bush with him because he was there. Blair had to take their word for it because he wasn't there. And as I kind of mentioned before (for RW Brooklyn's aftershow), Mark usually keeps it light hearted on these shows and usually gets along with most people, so I could see him treating the guests fairly - even if he is not too close with them. Something that could be interesting could be Mark having a hand in selecting some of the unaired footage that could possibly be shown during the aftershows. Also, perhaps there can be a Q & A session with Mark and the audience (online, call-in, whatever) in which he could explain stuff that happened during the show more in depth. I'm just glad there is an aftershow once again. Best of luck, Mark!

Well, the RW Aftershow hosted by Mark got decent ratings, right? Why would MTV want to change up a winning formula? I'm personally happy that we're getting an aftershow at all. Mark made it work, so...good for Mark. And good for us.

Mark does a good job hosting and he can relate to cast members I believe because he is one. Now all we need is as Katie Doyle hosted aftershow and I can die happy.

Interesting, but definitely a positive to see it back though. Mark is a very talented host.

And good for us.[/quote]I'm not trying to be antagonistic but I don't think people really tuned into the RW aftershows for Mark. I don't mind that he hosts but I just don't see him having much to do with the fact that the rw aftershow got good ratings. People tuned in cause they enjoyed the cast of Brooklyn and the dynamics of their friendships. I miss Blair. :(
