Or not. I have my opinions. You have yours. How would you react if I told you to "get over" something you felt?
I would laugh, assuming that your initial comment implied a sense of humor. The "or not" is called the kicker by comedy writers. The point is that your opinion of Blair impacts nothing. MTV didn't tell BMP to bring him back, so he is at G4. They signed off on Mark. Life goes on. Off topic conversations should be confined to PM...

I think everyone is focusing to much in the past. Everyone wants "this person" and "that person" to come back and do challenges, host, or whatever.
i didn't know where to put this but it was from the first duel aftershow: Ct was on the aftershow with Blair and he had to describe some cast members. When he got to Tina this is what he said about her, "I don't like her. She likes to bully people around because she is bigger then them." I find this funny because lately that is what Ct has been doing.
I'm not trying to be antagonistic but I don't think people really tuned into the RW aftershows for Mark. I don't mind that he hosts but I just don't see him having much to do with the fact that the rw aftershow got good ratings. People tuned in cause they enjoyed the cast of Brooklyn and the dynamics of their friendships.
My point wasn't that people tuned in specifically for Mark so much as that people watched the show with Mark as the host. It did fine. It didn't need Blair as the host for it to do well. Or, that's what I'd be thinking if I were in charge of putting these things together. Why go to the hassle of getting someone back from another network when what you have is fine?
I think everyone is focusing to much in the past. Everyone wants "this person" and "that person" to come back and do challenges, host, or whatever.
I agree. Everyone needs to let go of the old castmembers, Old challenges, Just old RW/RR's altogether. Things change, and People move on and I think we should do the same.
I agree. Everyone needs to let go of the old castmembers, Old challenges, Just old RW/RR's altogether. Things change, and People move on and I think we should do the same.
I agree with "I agree," and disagree with the thought that seeks to justify it.
I agree with "I agree," and disagree with the thought that seeks to justify it.
So everyone should just keep wanting the old castmembers to come back even thought they know it's a pipe dream most of the time? What exactly is the point of that? Oh and yay at Mark hosting.
So everyone should just keep wanting the old cast members to come back even thought they know it's a pipe dream most of the time? What exactly is the point of that? Oh and yay at Mark hosting.
There are a number of earlier season cast members who have said they would like to do a challenge. BMP and MTV read the internet and are not always immune to the audience. That is exactly how Cameran (San Diego) was contracted as a replacement player for The Island (and sadly never used). The buzz last fall about Mark being on The Duel II here at vevmo was definitely something management noted when considering Mark for the Brooklyn After Show hosting job. Personally, I'd prefer people to do a little homework and be realistic about things. There is not much point in naming someone like Melissa (New Orleans) when she is about to have a baby, or Timmy who has injuries for life from Inferno 3, etc, etc. It's not unrealistic for someone to wish for Syrus to return. He was a highly popular and entertaining figure at Spring Break in Mexico recently.

Guess she changed her mind about the challenges huh? And Plus even if Melissa didn't just have a baby I don't think that she would return. You're right It's alright to want SOME of the older castmembers back but what I mean is that when people ask for castemembers that have CLEARLY moved on with their lives it's just a tad bit silly for me.
Tvguide.com has the after show listed for this week
Yeah, it is showing up on my TiVo finally! Sorry about the scare!!
Timmy who has injuries for life from Inferno 3
I remember hit getting hurt but what is his injury for life?
I think V1 mentioned earlier that Kendal from Campus Crawl was a replacement for the island. Correct me if i'm wrong.
I think V1 mentioned earlier that Kendal from Campus Crawl was a replacement for the island. Correct me if i'm wrong.
I did mention that last year (and I mistakenly made reference to Cameran [San Diego]) above when I meant Kendall.
Timmy royally messed up his knees after that glass box inferno and I believe that has never really went away.
Yeah, it is showing up on my TiVo finally! Sorry about the scare!! I remember hit getting hurt but what is his injury for life?
I've been told by several cast members from Inf 3 that he has nerve damage in his feet and/or legs from cuts from the glass and has some trouble walking normally. It may not have been tempered glass that was used to construct the glass boxes. Timmy was a wonderful competitor and team player who has a big heart.

Off topic conversations should be confined to PM...
I never said that my opinion of Blair impacted anything. I was simply saying that I missed Blair and would prefer him over Mark to host the aftershow. Which seeing that this is The Duel 2 Aftershow thread I don't see how it was irrelevant or warranted your "get over it" response, which was neither funny or necessary. And about Timmy, regardless of his injuries if I remember correctly he said as he was leaving I3 that he was "retiring" so unless that was just for attention I doubt he would have returned with or without his leg injuries.
he has nerve damage in his feet and/or legs from cuts from the glass and has some trouble walking normally.
That is down right shitty!! For someone to have trouble walking is horrible!
I did mention that last year (and I mistakenly made reference to Cameran [San Diego]) above when I meant Kendall.
Oh so you meant Kendall? Oh okay It makes sense now. Can't really imagine Camrean wanting to do a challenge like the Island.
I did mention that last year (and I mistakenly made reference to Cameran [San Diego]) above when I meant Kendall.
hehe...I read that really fast and started singing the Carmen San Diego theme song. ::getting back on topic before someone yells at me::
Any clue who the first aftershow guest/s will be tomorrow? Based on the buzz of the fight clip online today, it would have been a coup for MTV if they got CT but it's probably Evan since he was in LA last weekend.
I can't believe Kendall was going to be a replacement. Damn. I would've loved to see that.
Hi! I'm new here, so forgive me if this has already been answered (although I did poke around looking for an answer before I posted), but does anyone know if it will be possible to watch the Duel II Aftershow on-line? I know that it is usually on-line for shows like The Hills, but I don't recall it being posted for the challenge last time. I don't have cable tv, so I can only watch on my computer.
I would assume so since the Brooklyn aftershows were online, but I'm not positive. If not on MTV then they might have clips of them up on the dailies.
I can't believe Kendall was going to be a replacement. Damn. I would've loved to see that.
There could've been a Rachel/Kendall alliance, since they are from the same season.
Thank you for the information. I didn't know the RW Brooklyn Aftershows were at MTV's website. I never saw them there. I only saw those little afterworld clips. I'll have to do a better job looking for the Duel II Aftershows.
Mark posted on Myspace that he will be hosting the new Duel 2 Aftershow. The 1st one will air next wed after the premiere episode. From Mark's page: Posted on 03/26/09
was this a blog of his or a bulletin??
was this a blog of his or a bulletin??
It is in his status updates... MySpace | A Place for Friends As noted in another thread, BMP taped two aftershows last Sunday in Van Nuys, CA
