OK maybe not gang up on him... but I at least hope he gets called out.

I would expect all of their responses to only be proportional to the "assault."
That would be an unseemly strategy, so I don't expect to see it happen.
It wouldn't surprise me. I'm bothered by how Devyn jumps in to fights that have nothing to do with her, like she did on this episode. I was more bothered by when she did it when Sarah asked JD for his opinion on something that Sarah was trying to change about herself. When JD provided an example Devyn jumped in and basically told JD he was wrong about the topic, so he wasn't allowed to feel dismissed. Which she did by basically dismissing him again.
I know it's OT but I don't plan to "assault" or "gang up" on JD. I do plan on confronting him about a few things though. Who knows, he may actually even apologize.

As has been reported by those involved, none of the events we see an any episode occur in isolation. They are interconnected. Devyn's "participation" may well be contextual, but we are not permitted to see it because there are only 40 minutes of TV in every hour. Full truth is not required or even important in telling the story.

I don't expect it to make it in the 40 minute cut that gets aired, and I most certainly don't care about how it gets perceived. We'll be in that studio for hours and I can't wait to see how his lyin' *** is going to weasel and excuse its way out of this one. Who knows, he may actually even apologize.
I hope he does apologize to you because he does owe it to you. Maybe then you both can get some closure.
Off topic - you are going to stick around here after your season ends right?? I absolutely love your sense of humor and would miss your unique take on things. :laugh4:

I understand that, but you can't edit someone walking into a conversation that doesn't include them and you can't disregard what someone says just because the show was edited.

Think of me like herpes: once you've got me, I'm around for life. ;-)
I can't say that I'll be addicted to The Faux World any more than I was before I was cast, but you will definitely see me around these parts long after Brooklyn has been cold and buried.
On second thought, don't think of me like herpes.

You state the obvious, but neither were points I was making.

I like to think of it as the gift that keeps on giving. :D

Remember kids: love is for tonight, but herpes is forever. Bag it up.

Ok....not to encourage the OT'ness....but, er, I just saw this today, and this convo made me think of it....

True. You'll definitely never be forgotten. You'll just pop up at opportune moments.

It's sort of what you said though. I commented about what Devyn did in two arguments and you didn't find it valid because of editing.
I understand that, but you can't edit someone walking into a conversation that doesn't include them and you can't disregard what someone says just because the show was edited.
Actually if you watch the argument between Devyn and Scott on the dailies, the episode of course cut out Scott calling out Devyn, saying that JD had every right to yank the phone from her hands because it got her to actually come in and talk. THAT was in fact what Devyn was referring to when she came storming in claiming that "it was the stupidest thing she had ever heard in her life." So yes, she technically didn't involve herself until Scott did.

Please don't try to put words in my mouth. It is not what I wrote. I wrote "Devyn's 'participation' may well be contextual." "Sort of" is absurd.
In a subsequent comment above, Buck05 provides the context from the dailies.
Your turn, or is it game, set and match?

Just curious V1 - have you ever been to charm school? ;)

I appreciate the insight for one of the arguments, but the other one was still a little ridiculous.
I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. Saying that her participation may have been contextual, feels to me like you're saying that because I don't get to see these people's lives 24/7, I can't have an opinion about what I do see. I'm sure you could look at every argument from every episode of the show and not really know what may or may not have happened, but I was just saying how it looked to me.

You make a fair point at the end above. I occasionally make observations the same way but tend not to state them as conclusions. "Absent any evidence to the contrary" is a phrase I would use to begin your argument if I were making it. I could not begin to state the conclusions you did without more than the episode in front of me because after more than a decade of involvement with this show, I've learned not to take at face value anything that BMP shows me. I am not a fan, don't respond as one, and there probably should be a disclaimer below everything I write.
I am not a fan, don't respond as one, and there probably should be a disclaimer below everything I write.
Out here on this crazy frontier we call teh Inarwebz they have such technology; they're called "signatures" =P. It might not be a bad thing to implement. "disclamer: I'm a BMP apologist". "disclamer: my opinions are based on what is shown, fully knowing that I am not receiving the full contextual story".
Though I'm sure Bacchus has probably disabled them for good reason, much like the whole icon thing I recall Vevmo having back when I first registered in November.
It's okay to have opinions based upon what's shown; no one is saying you have to know the full back story before you form or even state your opinion. I would just advise caution before making harsh generalizations regarding someone's character based solely upon those opinions. There is a world of difference between "based on what I saw, so-and-so was in the wrong. I had no idea where they were coming from" and "so-and-so is clearly wrong in this argument, they had no right to jump in."
Our over-sized mammalian brains contain an orbitofrontal cortex. Please to be using it :yes3:
Ummm yeah - this thread has descended into 'boringness' oh well it was fun while it lasted (actually not really - other than the Pedro stuff this episode was actually more the same - a fresh storyline BMP come on you can do it!)
I can't believe there are only 3 episodes left. It seems like all the great stuff ends up in the dailies or on the editing room floor. *cough, cough*. lol

I know I can't believe it's almost over!!
Oh, and nice to see you around here again! :D
I am kind of upset that no one showed up to the screening of Pedro, I feel that the group didn't do a well enough job in trying to get people to come. I live in NYC, I would have gone, lol. Also, I'm so sick of Scott's childish behavior, I seriously was watching this weeks episode and I was soo ****** the entire time, THANK GOD Devyn finally stood up to him. I don't care if he gave Katelyn money to stay, he needs to act like an adult, he is 24 years old, big freaking deal if someone doesn't come to your birthday party, YOUR 24, stop acting like a baby. Devyn you are so wise for your age you really impress me. Thank you for being on this season.
Thanks P for being supportive! I really appreciate that!

You are AMAZING!! Thank you for doing a bit of research before making comments. You are correct I only entered the argument with Kate and scott after scott started justifying jd's psychotic behavior towards me the night in the phone room.
Even though the editing makes her look like an argumentative nutcase, I thought it was kind of sweet that Devyn came to Katelynn's defense. I just hope whoever she was on the phone with didn't hear all their screeching..
Ha ha thanks I think? Lol yes editing does make me look like a nutcase but the reality is I am passionate about my friends and things that I believe in.. I am a pushover by no means and to attack a friend is to attack me.

lol. Thanks : ) I have finally crawled from beneath my rock.
Devyn has Scott apologized to you for his actions towards you?
That sounds like a question that would logically be asked during a reunion show. I think you will have to wait until April 1 for a response.
