2ge+her should have one an Oscar!! (Ok maybe not really but man they should've made sequels...tons of em!) Ha Ha really? Thanks J... I thought the edit really made me look like a Brat/lunatic in that scene... the reality is.. Scott had been baggering Katelynn for quite a while... a good twenty to thirty minutes I'd say before I jumped in... but the edit made it look like I just did it for fun... no I did it because I don't like seeing anyone "put baby in a corner"...no but really I don't like seeing my friends picked on (even if they are older than me) so I jumped to her aid... the thing you guys MISSED though was right after I walked away.. Scott STORMED off and stomped his feet around the whole house yelling!! It was HILARIOUS!!! Ahh man would've been one of the funniest dailies ever... but of course they don't show that.. because well then the boys would loose credibility (as if they had any to begin with) and the whole sexist view wouldn't be as powerful. EDITING... the thing is.. I was gone ALL THE TIME (I was the only one with a consistent day job as opposed to a project and I was performing with a local rock band around the city at night) so when I was home it was usually down time for me/routine maintenance... plus we were sponsored by OPI (the best nail lacquer ever) so I had a lot to play with. Kate knows I love her and was completely opposed to her leaving.
for some strange reason I knew Scott stomped his feet and stormed off after that argument lol. Men always try to get the last word in hopes of "winning" and we know deep inside we dont.
Bunim-Murray Productions. Mary Ellis Bunim and Jonathan Murray are the creators and producers of The Real World. ETA: RW OG beat me to it.
Actually, Mary Ellis died years ago.
Alright, so JD has essentially idolized Pedro ever since the premiere of Real World: San Francisco. He draws so many parallels to himself and Pedro with them both being young gay men from Miami and of Cuban descent, oh and they're both RW alumni. So when we - you know, the whole cast - was assigned the Pedro project he pretty much took over. We all divvied up jobs and responsibilities about who would handle what and we each worked toward that endeavor. At first we figured that JD was just so excited to be apart of the event that it would be the reason for him trying to take ownership of everything. The house got that, and we were cool with it... until he started acting like, well, JD. Sarah was in charge of drawing up posters. We all approved of her design and when we were about to get it printed out, JD calls up one of his friends in the printing business and him print out these sample fliers which were, pretty much, a poor knock-off of Sarah's design. When Sarah approached him about it he became obstinate and told her that his design was "sooo much better" and how he felt she wasn't being serious about the event. *blink blink* Then there was the argument about the location (New York Film Academy vs. The Center), the entire house agreed that we should do it at the Film Academy so as not to alienate people. Well, JD ambushed me (with the cameras there) at The Center and had brought people from the Center's board to discuss why they would be the better choice. He put me on the spot and made me feel uncomfortable because these were my colleagues. He later denied having planned any of it, you know, just like he denied outing me to anyone. He didn't just take charge, he took over and *****ed about anyone and anything that didn't go his way. Personally I wouldn't have cared less because I was looking for a job and really would have preferred to not have been involved, but production told me that this was a mandatory assignment, and contract blah blah blah. JD often referred to this as his assignment, and I don't care how much you idolize someone or how influential they are to you, this was a group project and JD was not at all a team player. Alas, far be it from BMP to show footage of anything of actual import, instead we are back to petty bickering over dishes and birthday parties. JD definitely received the "good guy" edit this episode.
Well its about time he got the good edit - I'm tired of the "JD is the villain and you people must go along with our story" edit I've seen so far. Mighty funny that you rarely (if ever) get a bad edit. Not meaning to be disrespectful but just pointing out the obvious.
So I absolutely loved that rant of Devyn's...
Devyn needs to mind her business - if I were the guys I would find that very annoying. Although I would not take the screaming like they do - I am the wrong person to scream at lol.
So the episode, definitely was good. Some issues: Scott- I think he is a great guy, but I think that locking up the dishes was a bit too overboard. I mean I understand where you come from, but I also realize this is a social experiment and you can't be too upset at somehting like this. Chet- I am really sick of his hypocritical attitude. Supposedly the girls have no respect, etc...Yet he is the one storming out of the place, and when he is nicely confronted by a friend he yells demanding alone time. If anyone is inconsiderate in this situation, it is you.

Dear BMP, This episode put me to :lazy:. Didn't I :tv_horror: this :shit: show last week? And the week before that, and the week before that ? :dash2:. This :feminist_en:vs. :friends:storyline needs to be:hunter:down. You are making me miss the RW of yore, with all of its :drinks: and  and :shower::smileysex:. Oh, and of course the :suck:. You do realize that I just spent the better part of an hour watching people fight over :sofa: ?:nea:. I hope you do your part to create a new storyline for next week other wise I will have to :eekout:. Yours truly, A concerned RW viewer
Is it sad that I actually got most of that?
It suddenly donned on me that no one in this cast has apologized for anything yet (at least nothing on the top of my head). The house consists of eight people who truly believe that they can do NO wrong. You know what they say, you hate in others what you see in yourself. It's very obvious with this cast...IMO anyway. I know that MTV chooses that trait in people on purpose a lot of the times, but just compared to other casts they seem so much more oblivious/careless about what they say/how they act. Perhaps it's the crossing over from generation x to generation Y (i.e. "Me me MEEEEE!")

Well its about time he got the good edit - I'm tired of the "JD is the villain and you people must go along with our story" edit I've seen so far. Did my account somehow get hijacked and someone posted as me claiming to be infallible? I know it's a common misconception that all the RW kids think that they can do no wrong, but I assure you that is far from the case. I think that I have had more than a handful of "bad edits". And while I have claimed that the editing blew things out of proportion or over-exaggerated some things I have always taken responsibility for my actions. I think you'll find that I'm fairly big on culpability, and often admit when I have erred, both with the cast as well as on here on the forums. I've never fed anyone a lie or forced an opinion down their throats, merely given perspective and backstory for others to come to their own conclusions. I implore you, please do your homework before saying such things because I shall suffer no fools, gladly or otherwise...
A concerned RW viewer
That was hilarious. But can you write that in English instead of smilies? Also, I really liked this episode from what I saw. I missed the first 16 minutes. Glad to see the continuity of the series back on minus the challenges. I'm sure Pedro would be proud. I still don't know why they didnt go with just "Pedro" instead of adding "the movie" to the title. P.S. JD was right for once. The venue should've been some place different.

I've never felt that you've jammed your opinion down our throats (even though I tend to agree with you on the majority of the things you say).
Wow...I just looked up my old password..just so I can start posting here again. Katelynn if you watch the aftershow, Scott said he doesn't expect the money back. He said he considers you a friend. If you were hungry, he would give you a sandwich and he wouldn't expect the sandwich back. I didn't like Scott for most of this episode, or the last few episodes. But this ending, and the things he said about Katelynn on the Aftershow really changed my mind.

Most of them looked boring or looked like they didn't want to be there. They would have gotten a huge crowd at the center. The only reason it wasn't held there was because it was JD's idea and heaven forbid Sarah go along with one of JD's ideas. Not to mention "nobody will want to go to a gay center" homophobe Ryan was against it too.
just so you know thats not what I or the other person was suggesting
That statement came straight from Katelynn, so I was telling her I didn't feel that way...and don't think very many people on here do. EDIT - The statement I'm referring to is the one about jamming her opinion down our throats.

Which is total **** because he was the biggest trouble maker this season. Katelyn I ENJOY having you here and appreciate your perspectives and backstories. You see the REAL reason some people opposed having this event at the Center was because our goal was to reach an audience that may not have had the opportunity to ask questions or speak on the topic of HIV/AIDS. We are all aware the Center does a great job of education people of all backgrounds on this important social issue. We wanted to try something different and reach those that the center hadn't already reached.

It seemed obvious to me that it was only a RW/BMP/MPT stunt manufactured for TRW Brooklyn. If there were an intention to actually promote Pedro - The Movie, BMP and MTV would not have given the task virtually last minute to 8 inexperienced people with too few resources. I would not surprise me to learn that the cast took it far more seriously than did the MTV execs. The rest was just story line details fitting the character portrayals the editors created weeks ago.
