I knew Scott was a good guy :)
His problem is that he tries too hard to be one of the guys, but when he's himself he seems cool. Offering Katelyn money seemed to come of out of a place of selflessness. Good for him.
Wow that was very nice of Scott to do. I guess he is as nice as he seems. I always like Scott to an extent, but now I like him much more. Katelyn, sorry to hear about your financial troubles. I hope everything on your financial end was resloved. I also hope you got to stay because you would be truly missed if you left the show.
It's been awhile since I've seen the ep, but does anyone remember me telling Scott that I can't accept the money because I don't know if I'll ever be able to pay him back, and Scott tells me it's a gift? Did the editing wildabeast leave that part in or was it conveniently edited out? I ask because it becomes a major point of contention in episode 12...
Why are the guys - Ryan in particular - always pulling pranks and then they try to hide or act like they didn't do it? I can understand feigning innocence for a few minutes, but obviously someone in the house did what was done. And if it's done as a punishment, then why would you care if they know you did it if you are so brazen to do it? Wow Scott, that's really great of you to do for Katelynn. :) I am grateful as viewer of the show for you doing that. I just think it's a great thing period. I don't know if you are reading this, but I do feel you are a decent guy, and of the guys on this season you are the one I like the most. I agree that the other guys probably influenced him to act in ways that were more negative than he may have (i.e. the pranks - seemed to be Ryan's thing and maybe Chet's). I have been disappointed with the guys overall for a lot, but I know not everyone is perfect and there have been times when I have disagreed with the girls as well. I just feel I've seen more negative from the guys after a while, and to a degree I didn't expect at all. I'm so excited about the challenge! Hopefully the whole trailer is up online.

He then gave you the check. You said you wouldn't wanna take money because you didn't know if you'd be able to pay it back. He said if it's what keeps you there, he doesn't mind.
No. She said she didn't want to take it from anyone because she didn't when she would be able to pay it back. Then Scott said he'd be willing to give it to her. No mention of the word "gift". The word "give" is up to interpretation. When watching it, I was under the impression that he was letting her borrow it and it was no rush to pay him back. I'm sure others will believe that give=gift I guess we'll see in episode 12
Yeah, I don't think the show actually shows him saying "it's a gift", but the way it went I felt it was sort of implied.

Devyn is the shit. Her flipping out was AWESOME. Also...this is kind of mean. Cuz I know Pedro was brave, and I have so much respect for him, I do. But I'm getting a bit of "Hey everyone, watch our movie, its airing soon, oh look at us promoting it because its the right thing to do!" EYEROLL. I know the cast was forced into doing that "event" (which looked like it was like 1/4 full), but it just seemed cheesey.
I just want to say... Ryan keeps talking about how it is in the Army. In the Army they take your stuff away, in the Army they break you down, in the Army...etc. I want to say that I, too, was in the US Army...and we must have been in different Armies, because the Army I was in was a professional job that did not involve acting a fool all the time. (Sometimes? Yes. All the time and to the extent he does it? No.)
My thoughts on the cast in this episode. Chet: I understand his position, but at the same time I understand the others' positions too. I think Chet did the right thing by not dwelling on the issue. Katelynn: Not much to say here. Did Scott get mad about the chairs? My sister and I thought the whole thing was weird. Scott: A bit much. Twas funny with the dishes though. Your point was valid, but the method didn't convey the point. Ryan: "We win." Funny. I liked the rationing of the plates. JD: Less airtime please. Baya: Not much of you, so no opinion here. Devyn: Didn't catch much of your rant. Sarah: Not much here either.
Katelynn....they showed you saying you couldnt accept it because you didnt know if you could pay him back. He didn't say "it's a gift" verbatim...but it was implied because he didnt seem to care.
Honestly, the petty stuff goes on from both sides from what was shown. Let's not pick on one side. Frustrations build up and things boil over. I'm still liking the pranking that goes on. Come on people, enjoy your humorous side. :prankster2:
Katelynn: Not much to say here. Did Scott get mad about the chairs? My sister and I thought the whole thing was weird.
Remember when Scott *****ed about the "messy" card table? In retaliation, while we all slept, he turned over every chair around the card table. In the morning as I was walking to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth for the day he got pissed at me for not picking them up. He wants to turnover chairs? I'll turn over ever damn chair in that place. I don't give a ***, my hot body, do what I whant, whateva. So if it seems weird it's because, yet again, BMP is only showing half of the story.
Katelynn....they showed you saying you couldnt accept it because you didnt know if you could pay him back. He didn't say "it's a gift" verbatim...but it was implied because he didnt seem to care.
He did say to me, during that 40 minute period when we were talking, that it was a gift. His exact quote was "I plan on making much more money where that came from, it's a gift". My question was did BMP show him saying that or not. Evidently BMP left it out.
BTW, what does BMP stand for? I haven't been able to find the meaning of that acronym yet.

Scotty Looked really bad this episode but He redeemed himself at the end. The Chet Situation I can see why he was a little hurt but Ryan said It's not about him it's about the Project. Devyn was spot on tonight. And Yay for the Challenge! I can't wait to see Brad, Issac, and Jenn? Oh and does anyone know who that big blonde chick was at the beginning when CT and Adam were Fighting? was that Tyler In Drag? If so I didn't Know he was on this Challenge.
Bunim Murray Punim
Thank you kindly.

Anyway, still not getting the Chet thing. Yes, he's religious, yes, he's never had sex. But I don't think it was on his mind to preach mormonism/abstinence only/evil condoms. He just doesn't strike me as that type of guy. Additionally, as someone who has NOT had sex, and who probably has no real knowledge of the pressures and consequences of sex, I'm sure he felt that hosting would have been the best way that he could contribute to the project. Though yes, I do think the hosting experience was also on his mind. As for the fights. I'm not going to harp on Scott. It would annoy me to no end if people treated my concerns as a big joke and blew me off every time I asked them nicely to clean up after themselves. Do I think that the "revenge" done by both parties was a little lame? Yeah. It suddenly donned on me that no one in this cast has apologized for anything yet (at least nothing on the top of my head). The house consists of eight people who truly believe that they can do NO wrong. You know what they say, you hate in others what you see in yourself. It's very obvious with this cast...IMO anyway. I know that MTV chooses that trait in people on purpose a lot of the times, but just compared to other casts they seem so much more oblivious/careless about what they say/how they act. Perhaps it's the crossing over from generation x to generation Y (i.e. "Me me MEEEEE!") And Devyn's rant, again, did not impress me. And the Pedro movie....I agree. Not to mention the actor looks nothing like Pedro and seems to be a pretty bad actor. A secret you may not know about me: I bought the 2 gether CD!

LMAO Kate @ 'whateva whateva I do what I want"...I use that phrase on a weekly basis...:D
A secret you may not know about me: I bought the 2 gether CD!
My gf and her friends LOVED 2gether. They're into european metal and hard rock and went crazy over them. They even met them in NYC and mourned when QT died.
What are you TALKING about? The 2gether movie was AMAZING!
2ge+her should have one an Oscar!! (Ok maybe not really but man they should've made sequels...tons of em!)
So I absolutely loved that rant of Devyn's...
Ha Ha really? Thanks J... I thought the edit really made me look like a Brat/lunatic in that scene... the reality is.. Scott had been baggering Katelynn for quite a while... a good twenty to thirty minutes I'd say before I jumped in... but the edit made it look like I just did it for fun... no I did it because I don't like seeing anyone "put baby in a corner"...no but really I don't like seeing my friends picked on (even if they are older than me) so I jumped to her aid... the thing you guys MISSED though was right after I walked away.. Scott STORMED off and stomped his feet around the whole house yelling!! It was HILARIOUS!!! Ahh man would've been one of the funniest dailies ever... but of course they don't show that.. because well then the boys would loose credibility (as if they had any to begin with) and the whole sexist view wouldn't be as powerful.
Either editing's funky, or Devyn seems to be more into her nails than listening to Katelynn's problems.
EDITING... the thing is.. I was gone ALL THE TIME (I was the only one with a consistent day job as opposed to a project and I was performing with a local rock band around the city at night) so when I was home it was usually down time for me/routine maintenance... plus we were sponsored by OPI (the best nail lacquer ever) so I had a lot to play with. Kate knows I love her and was completely opposed to her leaving.

(Oh and I still have tons of OPI swag we Deebo'd from the house if you want me to bring it to NY next week or Tampa this weekend). And yes, Scott stomping around pissed off was quite possibly one of the funniest things I have ever seen. It's a shame they don't show the duality to EVERYONE's personalities. He did redeem himself though later in the week (that's later in the episode for the viewers).
