I hope that JD drops off the face of the Earth and disappears forever. The bottom line is that JD is a pathetic **** who needs a reality check ( a serious *** kicking would be sufficient).
Grow up - the language isn't necessary!
I hope that JD drops off the face of the Earth and disappears forever.
Wow, I may not like him...but dang, that's some language you're using there :eek_yello:
I disagree - some things JD did not deserve - some he did because of his actions. Overall I don't think he is the scum everyone makes him out to be. Sarah is not perfect either - she has her faults.
I can't fault Sarah for anything significant other than perhaps joining this cast and thinking she would get a fair edit from BMP. In person she is very likable, friendly and clearly intelligent.
You stated that he had no regrets? His blog at Iamonmtv.com states otherwise. The following is an excerpt:
all of you can view the entire blog here if you wish

I think the issue is that. He is claiming to have regrets on a blog, but not saying sorry to those he has hurt in person.
Nonetheless, I do think the JD hate on IamOnMtv is vicious. People act like he is some mass murderer. The hate pouring out is way ridiculous, someone left a comment I saw yesterday on IamonMtv about him being on the same level as child rapists. What?! I hope the comment was taken down and others similar to that.
Wow, I may hate him...but dang, that's some language you're using there :eek_yello:
I edited my post to eliminate the harsh language. I guess I'll try to match BMP's edit and give him a good edit when I post as well.
I think the issue is that. He is claiming to have regrets on a blog, but not saying sorry to those he has hurt in person.
I think that's kind of bad. If I were to hurt someone's feelings - or whatever - like JD did, I would apologize. But, apparently JD feel's he did nothing wrong - yet the blog says otherwise.
BTW, I hope his actions are brought up on the reunion, i'd very much like to hear what he has to say. And if he says nothing, then someone should say something.
Also Jd comments only on episodes 1 and 2 in blogs. In addition, he refuses to come here. He dosen't face us here and he dosen't face the girls for his actions. What's new with JD.
Very good question - Kate you had problems with all of them - so why do you crucify JD and keep comments about the other guys to a minimum.
The issues I've had with Chet, Ryan, and Scott were all dealt right then and then there. In Episode 10 you'll see Scott and I getting into it and then Scott and I working our issues out - that's just the way things are between us. With Chet I have always been able to sit down and talk things out with him. At times he can be immature and I'll point that out to him, we'll talk about it and move on. Ryan and I have worked out our issues together, again via the avenue of communication.
On the few occasions I have tried to talk with JD, he just shrugs it off by saying "well, we all said and did things that upset each other" as if that provides some sort of shield or cover, or absolves him from his actions.
I don't trust the IAmOnMTV site at all. After two weeks of me personally not logging in I checked out the site only to find out that someone from MTV had logged in for me and posted content (pictures, responding to fans, blogs, etc). I can't say for certain that JD wrote that blog, but even if I was willing to stipulate he did, he has still never apologized to me.
He won't sit and talk with me about it, he won't take responsibility for his actions, and he doesn't encourage an environment of trust or communication. That is why I treat and react to JD differently than the other boys from my season.
I think the issue is that. He is claiming to have regrets on a blog, but not saying sorry to those he has hurt in person.
I'm sure he wants to - but the girls made it clear they want nothing to do with him - so that's probably why he hasn't apologized because he may not believe it will help any.

Kate, thanks for the explanation. I know you did not have to respond but I appreciate that you did. Please don't think for a minute that because I stick up for him that I do not like and respect you, because I really do.

The first sentence of your second paragraph is troubling. One might think you are referring to comments here at vevmo. Clearly JD is no fan favorite here, but while some, myself included, dislike him, there is no "hate."
Please clarify your comment.
It wasn't the first thing he has thrown in the Hudson either. Like I said, JD has thrown more things into the Hudson river than the entire mafia during the late 80s.

HAHAHAHAHAHA this is the funniest shit EVER.
Kate - thanks for all of your inside scoops! It really adds a lot to the overall perspective around here! =)

Thanks. I don't mind being corrected, English is a second language I still can not master!
Reading Katelynn's responses here really help my vocabulary, haha.
Are the red eyes in the pictures of JD an ode to the "Thriller" or "The Omen"? Or that is just how Vevmo likes to joke around?

I haven't met her in real life (I wish I could!), but... despite the negativity she's gotten in the recent episode from Ryan and JD, I have to agree - she does seem likeable.

I've been warning people about this since the site was launched. Two of our clients asked that we direct MTV to cease and desist having interns log on as the RW veterans and post false, misleading and untrue information. I think I mentioned this to the cast in December in NY.

I'm suprised they're even allowed to do such a thing!
Ryan in this interview talks about Sarah.

It's similar to what Katelynn explained here, but in his own words.

I do believe you mentioned that the IAmOnMTV site was a waste of time, a statement I quickly found myself agreeing with after my first use and found out that everything I do on that site had to be moderator approved. Ever since then I've only logged in once every odd week or so to reply back to the people that need someone to reach out them the most. Sadly this includes quite a many disenfranchised trans youth.
I'm surprised they're even allowed to do such a thing!
Who is going to stop them? Viacom is a big company with highly paid attorneys. As Katelynn has mentioned, the cast gets barely enough money to live on during the show. Almost no one who has ever been on this show has had enough money for afford competent legal representation which is one of the reasons we act pro bono for RW cast members.

First of all, it's nice to be off probation. Secondly, I'm not buying any of this at all. I'm sorry Katylyn, but I'm not. You say that JD just shrugs it off, when people approach him to work things out, but what we're seeing on TV shows a different picture. JD approached Sara many times trying to work things out, and she tells him he means nothing to her, with the ugliest, most smug, evil grin I've ever seen from a female. Then I see JD come to you with a chore list, and pitches it in the nicest way possible, only to have you berate him, and laugh at him in the shower, and he doesn't even respond.
You're trying desperately to fight the disgusting image that many Americans saw last night from the girls, by blaming it on editing. Funny, every time a cast member looks bad, they blame it on editing, why am I not surprised. Will from Hollywood, did the same thing in here last season when he talked about He Who Shall Not be Named's dad. Katlyn, MTV has been making JD look bad all season, and it's obvious from inside info that they don't like him, so why would they purposely try to make him the hero. I believe everything I saw yesterday in the general viewpoint. I'm an editor, so I know how things can be cut, and placed, and shifted, to fit a story, but overall, the attitude from you, and Sara, and Devyn was hideous. JD went crazy, but, honestly, I would have done the exact same thing. He rocked it last night.

Thanks for that link! It was a good read.
That interview is exactly what I'm talking about. So what if Sara wants to do the right thing all the time and say the right things. She tries to be a good role model and that is her progotive. She shouldn't have to be be good and bad to be liked. Sarah wanting everyone to like her is fine. It's just as Katelyn said he can't stand that she is such a nice person. Unlike Ryan who seems to not give a **** sometimes.
Funny, every time a cast member looks bad, they blame it on editing, why am I not surprised.
Sometimes it is the editing though. Things get taken out of context and makes even the nicer people look bad.

Whoa, you're confusing your time lines here hun. We wrapped production for our season in November, around October (when episode 8 was actually happening) the girls were fed up. I gave up trying to talk with JD while we were on the show because he would say one thing to you and do another when you weren't around. Devyn and Sarah gave up on trying to "talk things out" with him while we lived together because of their own personal reasons.
Yes, at that exact iteration in time I was not trying to communicate with JD. I found him to be hypocritical and found that he would only speak for the sake of hearing his own voice. Since we've wrapped production I have reached out to him, at which point he's shrugged me off. As someone who has lived with him, I can guarantee you JD is a completely different person when the cameras aren't on. He frequently told us that "you have to act out, it's the only way you'll get your own show". JD hammed it up for the camera.
Who from inside MTV camp has told you that they dislike JD? You do know that MTV has nothing to do with the making or editing of the episodes, right? They merely fund the project (though how much creative control they receive as a result of that funding remains to be seen).
And you're kidding me with that chore list, right? Nicely enough or not, you come to ANYONE over age 12 with a chore list and they're going to roll their eyes at you. I've been independent since I was 17, so this was the first time for me living with roommates, let alone roommates not of my own choosing, then one of these strangers is going to step to me with a list of chores that I have to do? Sorry, I'm calling shenanigans.
The edit is sexist. It's a "Battle of the Sexes" episode and you can clearly see which side production has favored. Shots of food from week 1 in Episode 8, can you really justify that "as an editor"? Or is that just evidence of production desperately trying to tell their specific story? JD gets some edits (Episode 10 or 11 I believe) that really save his ***, and I think it's because of people's reactions to him in episodes 3 - 5. You have to keep in mind that while some episodes are storyboarded they haven't yet been edited, so it is my understanding that the response from viewers, at least in the beginning of the season, can sometimes dictate how later edits will get done. It all depends on the downtime between production wrapping and season airing mind you (and if anyone from Cancun is reading this YMMV), but for the Brooklyn season that's just how it feels.
You don't have to "buy" what I'm saying because I'm not trying to "sell" you anything. It's BMP that is selling you something. It's BMP's version of the truth that you are "buying". I'm merely providing you with insight and perspective to better allow you to make your decisions.

Boomtown, you are apparently clueless about the editing of The Real World. It hardly matters that you claim to be an editor. There is an abundance of information on this site about the specific editing of this and other seasons, including RW Hollywood. I've enumerated almost countless examples of fabricated story lines embellished by after-the-fact manufactured interviews and footage from an entirely different and unrelated event or time.
Your comments are borderline insulting to the cast members who are members of this site. Personally, I think some might also find your comments to be misogynist.
