Yeah, but the thing I like about you is that you don't need to be shown for 15 minutes in order to be funny and get your point across. Your one-liners (master-baiters) are much better than Chet and Ryan going on about "just the tip" for 5 minutes.
I obviously have a very immature sense of humor, but I died laughing during that scene. The "just a tip" joke wasn't funny.....at all, but Chet mouthing it during the webisode causing Ryan to slip up made it funny. To me, anyway!
I think I answered it in an earlier thread but yes, JD did have to pay to replace that table. All $300 of it. We actually got into a spat later on (I'm not sure if it'll make it to air) but when JD starting flipping out (per usual) I quickly reached up and snatched the centerpiece. Everyone died laughing, it actually worked to diffuse the argument a bit, heh. I wish that more of my humor would be shown.
That sounds funny. And we get a few snippets of your humor here and there. Last episode with the detective work to figure out Ratgate, and even a couple of moments in this episode. Hopefully more will be shown later. No one at all was upset or scared when JD flipped out like that? Wasn't that creepy? I would have kept an even further distance away from him, I think, after that crazy outburst.
Sarah didn't even flinch. I golf clapped. Edit: Golf clapped when Sarah didn't flinch, not when JD broke the table.

To be completely honest though after two months of backstabbing, manipulation, flat-out lying, arrogance, and a displayed lack of concern for the feelings or welfare of others, outward aggression was just par for the course. "He's emotionally decrepit, oh why wouldn't he be crazy too?" It wasn't the first thing he has thrown in the Hudson either. Like I said, JD has thrown more things into the Hudson river than the entire mafia during the late 80s. The house at this point was 4 v 4, how are you going to get a majority vote to boot someone from the opposing team? In the end I'm pretty sure it would have been up to Diva, but she didn't approach that avenue for the sake of house stability. The boys' attitude was bad enough, could you even imagine how they would have reacted had she sent ADHJD home?

That is probably how things would have gone if Devyn had complained to production about JD's temper-tantrum. I also forgot you'd previously stated how JD has thrown plenty in the Hudson River. He is quite lucky there wasn't an episode just devoted to his temper. It would have helped the viewers to see why the cast was not shocked by his display, though.
(as an FYI, my money issues come into play around episode 10)
Just curious, how far in advance do you guys get the DVD's of the episodes? I know you've alluded to future episodes a few times before...do you get them a few weeks in advance or did you get the whole season a while ago?

Explaining all of that I can now see why nobody was even shocked when JD did that.

Those are the call Grandma and tell her its scripted episodes.
Sometimes you get them a few hours in advance. Those are the call Grandma and tell her its scripted episodes.
Hahah you have no idea how many times "it's scripted" has saved me from the headache of the dreaded Thursday morning phone call!
Hahah you have no idea how many times "it's scripted" has saved me from the headache of the dreaded Thursday morning phone call!
You and my daughter have the same sense of humor. When I hear your one liners, it's as though I am hearing her.
Personally, I can't wait for similar candor during the reunion show where BMP is not in control.
Personally, if I were JD I would not go to the reunion - I'm sure the girls are going to be overly harsh towards him. Why subject yourself to that?
Personally, if I were JD I would not go to the reunion - I'm sure the girls are going to be overly harsh towards him. Why subject yourself to that?
Yeah, heaven forbid you'd have to actually face and take responsibility for your actions and attitude. Who wants to be culpable in this day and age? Look, I'm not saying it was "all the boys' fault". Could the girls have handled things differently, yes. Could we have confronted the boys and sat down with them, tried to reason with them, yes. I'm not saying that we are infallible or that we never made mistakes. We all did, it's part of what makes us human and part of what makes this "experiment" such a success with its targeted demographic. The difference is, seven of the eight individuals who participated in this specific instance of said "experiment" have owned up and apologized for actions to each other at one point or another. There is but one person who still, to this day, refuses to acknowledge that his course of actions were hurtful to others. But I guess you're right. If I had personally initiated the genocide of a race of people I might shoot myself and have my corpse burned in a ditch in Russia as opposed to face trial for my crimes against humanity.

We all have faults and the guys were not completely wrong just as you girls weren't. JD however, isn't looking so good. Some people have trouble saying sorry. I don't get it, but for me, it helps alleviate a bad situation to admit your mistakes and apologize for them.
Kate have you even talked to JD since leaving the house?
I know she did. They were together at the Paley Center on Dec 5. I was there and witnessed the entire cast talking among themselves.
I just made the "mistake" of watching some of the dailies. I called this a mistake because if I didn't like JD before watching these, I simply cannot stand him now. There is simply a darkness in him. I think he shall not be named looks pale when compared to JD. I'd be really surprised if JD has the guts to show up at the reunion show. Ryan and Chet are also getting on my nerves. I think they're simply hypocritical. They ganged up on Sarah for being judgmental and yet they do the same thing they're criticizing her for. Chet, what happened to the "I don't point out people's faults because I'm better than that attitude"? I commend Devyn for the way she handled the situation with JD. Clearly he just wanted to fight and she didn't give him that pleasure. If it would've been me though, I'm pretty sure he would've gotten the fight he wanted.... with a not so happy ending for him though... lol.
I know she did. They were together at the Paley Center on Dec 5. I was there and witnessed the entire cast talking among themselves.
Even Sara and Ryan?
Even Sara and Ryan?
The answer is very old news. Taping of the show ended two days before Thanksgiving and the cast was together for the Paley Center for Media event on Dec 5. We have a thread on it.
Shawn, I lived in NY for four years and can attest that filming in the NYC subway system is a nightmare. First, the noise level drives the sound person crazy and makes the editor's life a nightmare given the time it takes to correct for the background noise and voice distortions that result from applying audio filters during the editing process. It takes time to do the necessary editing and time is money. The specialized audio equipment used in movies is not used on production of TRW. It's a cost issue. It is also a logistics issue. Production normally has a vehicle loaded with gear if a crew is accompanying the cast. Perhaps more importantly, any camera in the subway attractions a lot of attention, and in my experience, none of that attention is good. It As for the cars... like with Subway, you have to keep your sponsors happy, too.
Are you even allowed to tape in the subway after 9-11, I am pretty sure you cant, maybe you can get some heavy duty permits for a few days, but I cant imagine them allowing you to have free acess to it 24/7 for 8 weeks.
Kate have you even talked to JD since leaving the house?
I keep my interactions with JD to an absolute bare minimum.
The clips of us cleaning up were taken from a period of the first week up until two weeks after the fight actually happened. I also love how they neglect to show you Sarah waking up at 6am every morning and cleaning the house. They also don't show our little group pow-wow from week one where we talked about cleanliness. In my personal life the two worst rooms for me are my bedroom and kitchen. I informed everyone as such from day 1. Between the 8 roommates we must have gone through 5 loads of dishes every day, so it's not exactly hard to get a shot of a draining board full of dishes or a stray plate in the sink. And when it comes to the rooms, Devyn and my room doesn't affect anyone but ourselves. "
Sorry I am really gonna have to disagree with that last stament, how can devyn who is so afraid of rats and mice, have a room like that in brooklyn ( i live in broklyn btw, so watch all the comments about it i love it lol), esp. in a place that looks like it was a converted warehouse. If your neighbor does constuction its known you have to get a cat. I am not sure if you guys kept food in there, but ven if not rats love dirt.
I keep my interactions with JD to an absolute bare minimum.
Eh, When i say the first episode, i thought you two would become friends forever. But on that episode JD didn't show the real him. Oh well, he doesn't seem like a worthy friend, at least not a friend I would like to have.
I keep my interactions with JD to an absolute bare minimum.
So do you keep interactions with the other male roommates to a minimum as well?
So do you keep interactions with the other male roommates to a minimum as well?
Very good question - Kate you had problems with all of them - so why do you crucify JD and keep comments about the other guys to a minimum.
Here the odd thing I noticed about this season. It seems like there is one person on the girls side disliked by one or two of the guys. One guy from the group extremely disliked by the girls. Jd being the guy the girls couldn't get along with. Sara being the girl one or two guys wouldn't get along with. Jd's case was understandable because he completely trashed the girls on so many many levels. He didn't do that same crap to the guys. Sara absolute sweetheart who got along great with all the girls. However, she got fed up with trying to win over two people who always disliked her on the guys side Ryan/JD. So for most of the guys Sarah is the the hated one. I love Sarah and think she's a great person. Jd is the hated on by the girls. Rightfully so imo, he desrved what came to him. On the other hand Sara did NOT deserve that treatment from some of the guys. Overall, Sarah's displacement was UNDESERVED while JD's was DESERVED.

His blog at Iamonmtv.com states otherwise. The following is an excerpt: "I am a compassionate person and I am happy my light did shine through the first episode and that my true story was portrayed accurately. But you have to understand I am only human, and I am not perfect. I did get in some arguments with some of my roommates over the course of the season, so just be warned! I even say some things I regret...but thats the "Real World" right? We all say things to other people that may not be so nice from time to time. You have to understand my roommates and I sometimes had a difference of opinion on some things, but at the end we all do care about each other. Overall I don't think he is the scum everyone makes him out to be. Sarah is not perfect either - she has her faults.
Listen to Katelyn, JD has always and still has a disregard for any of the girl's feelings and has never apologized. Blog or no blog, it is what it is.
I disagree - some things JD did not deserve - some he did because of his actions. Overall I don't think he is the scum everyone makes him out to be. JD's action had a much higher degree of viciousness than Sarah's ever did.
