Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I don't know if anyone here watches the movies except me..... But if you do, I found the trailer! :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8qI1xHfY_ys&feature=related
I am a huge Harry potter fan!!! I can't wait for this movie to come out.
I can't wait for the movie, but I must say - I was a little underwhelmed by the trailer... I'm excited to see more, though.

I am a huge fan and the trailer looks fine. It actually kind of fits with the book, since the sixth book does follow Dumbledore a lot. Very excited to see the movie.
Ah well you never know until you actually see the movie, most of the time the trailers can be misleading and then the movie can be crap. I guess you can say I'm a fan of the movies since I'm too lazy to read the books lol But it could be a really good movie.
I have read all the books and have seen all the movies and I must say I love how all of them turned out. I just wish that the books wouls stay closer to the movie and they wouldn't leave so much stuff out of the movies, because if they dodn't the movies would be masterpieces.

If so,, I agree...there were so many things left out of the movies but this last one most of all...it was a bit disappointing.

They leave out some important elements that the books had. I mean they do great with leaving things out and still making the story fit, but I guess they have to do it considering the movies are already almost 3 hours long even with everything that is left out of them. I enjoy all the movies. I think it is a matter of how much you would rather the movies be a carbon-copy of the books or not. Personally, if the acting is great, the story line flows, and they manage to keep the important parts of the plot, then the movie is enjoyable. So far I feel that all 5 have done that.

They even left some characters out in the last movie! I am looking foward to this movie... Althought I read the book so long ago I can barley remember what happens! Lol.
They do leave out a bit too much, but a lot of people that go see the movies haven't read the book, so what are they going to complain about I guess. The movies are still good, just they leave out too much according to people who have read the books.
Agreed! The movies leave waay to many things out. They even left some characters out in the last movie! I am looking foward to this movie... I believe they are saying that it's coming out November 21st. :) (the preview just said November)
I believe they are saying that it's coming out November 21st. :) (the preview just said November)
Ah there will be a million trailers before it actually comes out so the date will soon be reveal to you. I will go see it and hopefully it'll be a good movie, I do have high hopes.
I found out some upsetting news. The movie has been pushed back from a November 2008 release to a July 17, 2009 release. I am so upset that we will be waiting another year practically to see a Harry Potter movie.

Whoever made the decision = ********!

It's odd that they'd have a set date so close then set it back.
I was too upset to even re-post that when I read it...I am still very sad about it. Whoever made the decision = **************] I know right. It is a terrible decision on their part, because everybody was already prepared for a November rellease and now we have to wait a year.
Wow what is the deal with the push back?
Agreed. The trailer wasn't very good, but I believe they will show a better one later on.
This trailer is only the teaser trailer with a full trailer coming closer to the movies recently changed released date - 7/17/09. IMO, WB did a great job focusing on one point of the movie for the easer instead of just showing randomly assorted clips as usual. For once, the focus isn't on Harry, Ron, and Hermione. In fact, Ron only appears in one short clip and Hermione doesn't appear in the trailer at all.
Wow what is the deal with the push back? And why such a big one? It's odd that they'd have a set date so close then set it back.
The push back was because of the great success of Dark Knight and the success of the last HP movie which was also released in summer. Wb found a whole in the movie scheduling and decided to move their big budget movie to a weekend where no other big budget movie is contending against them. The last HP movie also was released in the same weekend two years ago and became the second highest grossing film of the series.

I mean, Harry Potter movies are going to be huge no matter where you go. They shouldn't have to be worried going up against movies, because these movies are some of the highest grossing movies period. I feel they just need to relax.

They are currently riding on Dark Knight and don't need another big release. Although, I totally agree with you that they will make money regardless, past movies have shown that different situations change the amount of money they recieve. Every company wants to make more money then they did before. They can keep the movies in theaters longer when their main audience is out of school during the summer.

The Dark Knight would be long gone by then. They have nothing to worry about. Thats true that they make a lot more money over time, but I know plenty of people who wait till the film dies down until it is almost out of theaters. Wouldn't you want your film to make big bucks opening weekend?

People will go to see the only big movie of that weekend. I am not defending their actions because I was looking forward to seeing the movie in November, but some of what they do does make sense if looked at from their stand point. In addition, a move to next summer also decreases the 2 year wait to movie 7 down to a one and a half year wait. I think they wanted a shorter wait between their last HP films as to allow people to connect them easier.

That is why you should always stick with your original plan. Just like you said, you want to make all the money possible and putting it in the summer would do that. But if it is going up against a summer blockbuster, it won't make all the money it possibly could. If you leave it in November, when there isn't many big movies coming out compared to next July, than I guarantee you will make more money. And time is a huge issue. It is going to be a two year wait between the Order of the Pheonix and the Half Blood Prince. Than we have to wait another year for Part 1 of the Deathly Hollows and then another year for Part 2 of the Deathly Hollows. So they aren't doing anything, but prolonging the release of this movie.

Nothing will likely pop up in July if it is not scheduled. And i made a mistake in saying they are riding the Dark Knights success. What I meant was that they want to use the same weekend for their next big movie. As for time, I think they would rather increase the time between 5 and 6 then have a increased time between 6-7.1. Regardless of movie 6, Deathly Hallows will release in November 2010.

I would rather have a years wait between each of the movies, rather than a two year wait, then a year wait, and then another year wait.

WB has already stated that this decision will not affect movie 7 at all.
Noooooo! I was really looking foward to seeing this movie! Now I have to wait until July! This is horrible!
Noooooo! I was really looking foward to seeing this movie! Now I have to wait until July! This is horrible!
I was too Pheonix. I can't believe by the time it rolls around it will have been a two year wait.
I was too Pheonix. I can't believe by the time it rolls around it will have been a two year wait.
Honestly while I am looking forward to the movie too, I can wait that long for it. So either way doesn't matter to me but still the wait sucks.
