oh...words of encouragement for me...I need them but I am still about a year and a half away from it, LOL.
I was bad, I didn't want to wear my retainers because I was sick of teeth stuff by the time I had mine out. My teeth are almost worse than before I had the braces, my jaw is aligned but my teeth are not as straight. The worst part is that it seemed like every time I didn't wear my retainers before an appointment they would say how great they looked, then if I did wear them they would tell me I needed to put the in more! Ah, well...
Back to HP...Matthew Lewis/Neville and Rupert Grint/Ron were always my favorite HP boys :)

I was told I would need my jaw broken and wired shut...just my luck :(
I wish I had Hermione around so she could just cast a spell, LOL. I seriously can not wait for this movie...I think I will wait a few days I like to be able to hear the dialog over the ohhs and ahhs of little kids, hehehe

My friend and I got tickets to see it the morning of the 15th so we will probably have more little kids in the theater with us, but we both couldn't wait to see it and we both wouldn't be able to stay up late for the midnight showing! We do plan on seeing it again though, since a few friends of ours won't be able to go until at least the weekend, so I guess I can catch the dialogue then! ;)
Has anyone seen any of the HP movies in 3-D IMAX? My aunt said they did a pretty good job with Order and the last battle scene in the Ministry so I may check it out when I will inevitably go a second time.
Wow we finally get to see Harry and Ginny make out. Two bad we'll have to wait 1 or 2 more movies to see the Ron and Hermione one.
(For those who don't pay attention, the last book will be in 2 movies)
Ok, how cute is this? They really do seem like well adjusted young movie stars!

We do pay attention actually...if you were paying attention, you would have seen that I already posted the release dates for both of the movies earlier today.
I got tickets to see it tomorrow morning. No WAY I could stay up that late in a dark room slouching in a comfy-ish seat. If I can sleep through Star Wars until the credits start rolling I can most definitely pass out watching HP!

I've got 11am tickets tomorrow!
I've got 11am tickets tomorrow!
11:50am for me! I made it a little later since a friend and I are meeting halfway between us to see it and we wanted to avoid morning traffic.
Just saw the movie. GREAT! There were obviously a few things done differently that could have been better. The battle was very good. It wasn't as epic as the book but it was much more emotional. I think it was done great.
Just finished watching...
I'm not gonna lie, having read the books, I was a bit disappointed that major chunks were left out.
what was left out?
what was left out?

Dumbledore's funeral, the battle scene at Hogwarts, tons of Quidditch stuff
Plus, they added scenes that weren't even in the book to begin with.
In the movie they burned down the Burrow, which never happened.

The one upsetting thing to me was
The Gaunts being left out.

Yes, I missed that not being in as well. I think I'm just mad that they could've left out the added parts to put in one of the parts that was left out.
I think I would rank this one 4th so far, behind 3, 4, and 5. The only reason I rank it higher than 1 & 2 is because I never really liked those to begin with...I think the movie series started to get good around Prisoner of Azkaban, as they started to progress as actors.
With that being said, I really liked Tom Felton in this movie.
I saw the midnight showing of this last night and OH MY GOD! It was amazing!
That being said, I haven't read the 6th book in a few years so the details being left out that people are talking about, I didn't really notice.
I remember reading about that first scene you mentioned being left out...but the nest one you mentioned makes me very sad.
I don't get why they leave the fights out of all of these movies...if these kids can read and imagine the fights, why not just put them in the movies as well. I think it is stupid...what are the last two movies going to show...Harry snap his fingers and Voldy dies...I bet they don't even show Harry die...the kings cross scene will be something like an imagined thing or something.
I think the people that are saying ZOMG THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER are out of their minds. My favorite movies were the 3rd and 4th one, and I also liked the 5th one (even though I didn't really like the book). This movie doesn't even compare. Was it well made? Absolutely. But the real question: Is it like the book? No. Not really.
I get that the books are longer, and there's more information to digest, and they can't possibly put everything in, but the fact that they added parts that never happened really annoyed me.
I really enjoyed the movie. I may have done a couple of things differently. I did like the added sceene. I think that it was good to introduce Fenrir Greybeck even though I don't think his name was ever said.

It was listed in a newspaper I think.

Keep in mind that not all people keep up with the books. While I have read all of them, it's been years since I read them again (this mainly applies to the 5th and 6th book). I honestly didn't think the 4th movie was much like the book at all and you listed that as one of your favorites. I felt they left a lot out of that one.

It was briefly on the wall on one of the moving "wanted" signs when they were following Draco to Borgin & Burke's.
I understand that not all people keep up with the books, but as someone who has read them, I didn't think it was set to the book. It missed basic story lines. All of a sudden Lupin and Tonks are calling each other "sweetheart"? Wasn't that (that if you love someone enough, it doesn't matter what they are) one of the more important story lines, once Bill was attacked in the Hogwarts fight scene (that wasn't included)? Speaking of which, where was he in the movie?
As for the fourth movie, it did leave a lot out, but it didn't go adding scenes. It stuck to the basic plot of the book. As I said earlier, I wasn't expecting it to follow word for word, but I didn't expect it to add pointless scenes in either. And yes, I thought the scene at the Burrow was pointless. There was a specific reason Harry went to the Burrow in the first place...
Broke the Dark Knight records for biggest midnight Wednesday opening. I feel there was so much story to tell that they didnt fit it all in, obviously. I am glad the next film is two different movies because I feel things will be explained better. The ending was wayyyy to rushed. What is the order of these movies in terms of the most successful money-wise?
Molds, I can understand your dissapointment in some sense, or even just the feeling that this may not be like the book, but I never compare them because:
A.) The books will always be better because they have the amount of time and space to have so much detail, etc. The movies have to be compacted and I understand they leave out major stuff, but you have to think in terms of how the movie will play out.
B.) The directors, etc., for the most part do not care about appealing to all those who read the books, because they know that no matter what, they will draw them in still, plus everyone else who doesn't read them.
I still love the movies, but try not to compare them. I still have yet to see this one, but will be in a few hours.

I agree with most of of what was said.
Plus, like I understand that they could try to put everything in, but if the movie strictly followed everything in the book, they would lose many viewers who don't read them. Half of the time, they would either not understand, or not care.
And this is coming from someone who read every book the first day they came out.
