Honestly while I am looking forward to the movie too, I can wait that long for it. So either way doesn't matter to me but still the wait sucks.
Me too. I mean a push-back in the date isn't going to stop me from going to watch it, but I find no real reason as to push it back eight months from the initial release date.
Yay! It looks so good. I thought they only moved it up by a few days, but I'll take what I can get!
They did, by only 2 days. Not much of a difference, but it's less wait time for angry fans.
I really can not wait to see this...It better live up to the hype/book. I will be open minded about it though.
I'm just hoping they aren't giving too much away. You know how sometimes a movie shows like 4 different trailers and by the time you see the end of the movie, you wonder to yourself why you just spent 9 dollars to watch a movie when all the good parts were in the trailers? Obviously I doubt this movie will be like that, and I do like how they're showing different stuff in each..just hope it's not ALL the good details.
I, too, am excited, but I don't like how they went back to a PG rating. IMO, the early movies were good as PG, but when the series advances, it works well as PG13.
I also heard they cut out the funeral and the fight scene. I was looking forward to see how it would go down in the movie!
Despite concerns, i'm very excited to watch it.

I'll be kinda pissed if they cut that out.

From the looks of the trailer it seems like we will get a mini version of the second thing, which I can live with.
That is going to really suck if they cut out those two things... I wish they could just pile the whole book into one movie! :) YouTube - Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince - Behind The Scenes Special [HD]
I feel like they could cut out the first part if necessary, but the second part? That sets up the 7th book so nicely.
maybe they will add those 2 scenes to the beginning for the last 2 movies since they are breaking book into 2 parts...it could help fill time for the first half of the movie.
maybe they will add those 2 scenes to the beginning for the last 2 movies since they are breaking book into 2 parts...it could help fill time for the first half of the movie.
I could see them film the scenes for flashbacks, but considering they split the last movie into two parts, i'm sure part 1 and part 2 will have enough content... speaking of part 1 and 2 of the last movie...i read that the original cast will be used to film the epilouge... The reviews are coming in, and they are great. I also saw that the release date for Deathly Hallows (part 1) is November 19 2010, with part 2 following July 15 2011. Also, David Yates recently teased about where Part 1 would leave off (in spoilers for those who haven't read the book):
"We're here in the forest, we've just finished the scene where Harry, Hermione and Ron are captured by the Snatchers after being chased through the woods. The Snatchers are brutal and scary but they aren't the most intelligent of creatures. They're trying to figure out exactly who it is they've caught ... Things can change when you edit, of course, but the idea now is that it will be not long after the sequence that we are filming here today. That's what we're experimenting with. We've had three or four different ideas about where to cut off the seventh film. Traditionally, the movies have ended with a death or a bereavement, some sort of passage or arrival. This time we think we will end with more a cliffhanger. Again, though, that's the thought as of this moment."
Thanks Molds! I am re-reading the book right now before I go watch it Wednesday :). I forgot about some of the things that happened!
Thanks Molds! I am re-reading the book right now before I go watch it Wednesday :). I forgot about some of the things that happened!
I did the same thing! I just finished it the other day.
I did the same thing! I just finished it the other day.
Me too! I actually listened to the audio book, it helps with some long drives I have been doing lately :) I've also been watching the HP marathon on ABC Family this weekend to help fill my need for HP until Wednesday, haha!
I've also been watching the HP marathon on ABC Family this weekend to help fill my need for HP until Wednesday, haha!
My mom was watching the third one yesterday (I think it was yesterday...maybe it was Friday). I found this website that has a bunch of publicity stills that are pretty cool. Some I've seen, some are new(er). The LA Times also has a bunch of good articles/interviews pertaining to the new movie. I just learned that Matthew Lewis (who plays Neville) has to wear a fat suit! Thanks for all the great links!
In the past few months, I really felt as though I'd fallen off of the Potter-train, but with the new movie coming up, I'm rediscovering just how excited I am to see Half-Blood Prince come to theaters! I was reading an article in Entertainment Weekly the other day, and it mentioned how the actors have somewhat of a hard time recalling filming for this movie because it was so long ago and they're now working on Deathly Hallows. Daniel Radcliffe said that he's 'dreading' filming the scene towards the end when Harry walks into the forest (those who have read the book know what I'm talking about - I know I cried at that part of the book, I cannot imagine having to act my way through it!) and it's scheduled to be filmed around Christmas.
Is the photo at the bottom of that interview him with his hair cut and a beard?
Yeah yeah! That's Neville/Matthew Lewis. I saw a picture of his older brother and his band, his bro is totally cute! He looks good with scruff doesn't he? ;)
This movie better be SO good since they made me wait a whole extra half year to see it!
Yeah yeah! That's Neville/Matthew Lewis. I saw a picture of his older brother and his band, his bro is totally cute! He looks good with scruff doesn't he? ;)
Yeah he looks a lot different with the scruff...it suits him, LOL.
Yeah he looks a lot different with the scruff...it suits him, LOL.
He looks MUCH better with scruff and short hair. If his teeth were straight, he'd be sexy.
lol. Maybe he should do braces. I had mine for 4 years and they hurt so bad!
lol. Maybe he should do braces. I had mine for 4 years and they hurt so bad!
oh...words of encouragement for me...I need them but I am still about a year and a half away from it, LOL.
oh...words of encouragement for me...I need them but I am still about a year and a half away from it, LOL.
As long as you have plenty of Tylenol you will be fine. Thank god we always had lots of that in my parents house!
