Has anyone else noticed that on Real World Dailies a lot of the videos are pretty "anti-Greg" if that makes sense...The girls think Greg is gay....Sarah and Dave think Greg is a douche from the get-go...His 'pretty boy' strut....must be a reason he's getting such a bad edit right away. We know for ourselves that he's no prince but they are not painting a pretty picture to the naked (read: uninformed) viewer. I'm sure it will all reveal itself soon.
P.S This site was the best thing BMP could have thought of to keep people interested. I'm diggin it already and I had pretty much given up on the real world. But even if I don't watch the season on TV, I'm sure I'll be checking it out on here or there. Ha....whatever I know I'm going to watch it. :p

Does that mean he got a bad edit too? When you a low life of Greg's epic level, people are going to talk about you with some negativity. MTV was just there to capture it. He sounds like a genuine real life prick to me from personal experience (I did not watch his audition tape) and that has nothing to do with editing.
BTW: I agree with the girls.

I wasn't defending him in anyway...just noticed that BMP was really putting it out there. DOUCHE-BOY! :D

I am just hoping that his departure this season is earlier rather than later. BUt considering how much drama and contoversy he brought to the show, they will probably stretch out his stint there in several episodes. BOOOOOO! :(

Yep, they gotta live up to the teenyboppers standards for drama and conflict.
Normally I want to give each new cast the benefit of the doubt and not buy into what I here from inside BMP and MTV. Over the past five months, I've heard more excitement about the Hollywood cast than for any season since San Diego, with one glaring exception: Greg. The one consistent thing I've heard about him is "casting mistake." Given that apparent universal opinion of his casting from the insiders, his episode 1 edit was not unusual or unexpected. What was unusual was my reaction to him. Instead of wanting his character to unfold and prove people wrong, I found myself wishing they would find him lifeless at the bottom of the pool.
His absurd sense of entitlement is complete bullshit; it's annoying, pointless, without foundation and absurd. In our cast training, we consistently tell reality cast members to be themselves, but a larger-than-life version of who they are, because that is what the camera craves. It appears to me that the normal sized version of Greg is pretty much worthless and the larger-than-life version a complete leach on an otherwise very interesting cast.

With that being said....is it safe to say that BMP won't be doing anymore online voting for cast members?? (I mean...vote for videos, vote for challenges, but NOT for such a 'coveted' spot as one of the seven roomates!!)

The problem with online casting is that it relies on the "wisdom of the masses" and the masses really aren't that wise when it comes to casting the best applicants for a reality show. What people think they want and what they actually want are two different things.
That being said, I have no idea how Greg was chosen for the show. I am at a total loss. I don't understand how with a personality like that, he could win a popularity contest and I am just as confused as to how the casting director could have imagined that he would make a compelling character in the given environ.
I agree with V1 in that even the most reviled cast members in the initial stages of the show are shown through the weeks of edits to grow and come of age on some level. In the case of lil' Greggie, I just don't see that happening.
he had like 3 friends vote a million times. He must have.
yeah like the only 3 friends he has...and I am sure they were probably 2 family members and that 1 friend that was mentioned that he had by someone on another thread.
Wow... hahaha.
It was nice to see him act human tonight tho!
It was, I gotta be honest it just seems like he is a little misunderstood and a little rude at the same time....When I watch the show that is, he has shown his true colors to us and a "little" doesn't even begin to describe how rude he is.

This is the first time in history I think the edit on The Real World made someone seem nicer then they really are. I have a feeling it will not last.
We have already seen how highly he thinks about himself on this thread and I doubt my impression of him is going to change anytime soon.

I know right, I was thinking the same thing about editing...like MTV was trying to make up for him being cast.
