The Real World is Fake.
Well.. My older brother told me that him and his friend were at Washington D.C. and they some people fliming something so they asked what were they fliming and they told them that it was the real world.. My brother's friend said that he saw some of the people reading SCRIPTS.. I've gotten a bunch of my friends tell me that every single reality show is fake.. Well maybe expect that Child Predator show.. So do you guys think the the real world is fake? I don't care if its fake.. I will still watch the real world i've been watching the real world see the Austin, Texas season.. Its a entertaing show imo.. Anyways just sharing my thoughts adios.. :)
Believe what you want to believe. -.-
The Real World is generally authentic although you will see editing play a role in the final product, which will in turn give an altered view of reality. However, they do not read scripts. It is not like The Hills...

Also we've been told by people who have seen the RW DC being filmed, that when asked, the crew always says they are filming "a documentary". They wouldn't just say they were filming the Real World.
I wish it was fake. *****.

lol. By the way, Emilee, I love you on the show. I had no idea you were part black though. I think this is the first real world where most of the girls are minorites. Hoody-hoo! (I think thats how its spelled.)
I think the real world is fake in the sense that it is not so "hidden camera" the way it is filmed and living ob a production set is a bit artificial by its very nature, but who knows what the folks may have been reading that was believed to have been a "script"
Are you sure your brother didn't see filming for a VH1 reality show? Because those are TOTALLY real!
However, they do not read scripts. It is not like The Hills...
What the Hills are scripted??? I would have never guessed it!
I guessed that The Hills was fake when I saw a bit of an episode. That is all it took.
What the Hills are scripted??? I would have never guessed it!
WHAT?!You mean Lauren and Kristin really don't hate each other?! This is the worst day of my life!
Lamb Chop, you thought The Hills was real?
Lamb Chop, you thought The Hills was real?
I was being sarcastic, but way to blow my cover blanky! ... however I still watch it despite knowing that it's fake.
Oh LOL, I thought you were serious...
Oh LOL, I thought you were serious...
I have that affect on people.
The Hills is real! I don't care what anyone says!

Debut, Emilee really is a quarter black. She stated this in one of the threads. I think it was the "Real World Diversity" thread.
Gasp how dare you all say my Lauren is a fake!!!grrrr rawr
I don't hhink that the Hills is scripted but I think that the producers set up situations. Like when Lauren and Heidi always seem to run into each other. I don't think the cast knows what is going to happen, but the producers do. I think all of the reactions are authentic but the situations aren't.

I think some parts of the Hills is fake like when they talk all that proper **** and the Justin/Audrina fight a few months ago was staged to me.

If someone I disliked showed up to MY birthday party, I'd be a little creeped out.
dude, if us real world cancun roomies had to read scripts while we were messed up drunk 84 percent of the time.....THERE would be no REAL WORLD CANCUN!! SO enjoy the realiness!!

The cameras are not always around. The cast go and do things on their own without being accompanied and they DO speak to producers and camera folks...they don't just ignore them for the duration of production. But scripts: no.
Jasmine, you're not fooling us... We know you're not REALLY drunk. (By the way I'm being sarcastic... I do find it funny though how the poster who made this thread is saying how he doesn't think it's fake, yet his username is TRW Is Fake).

That's no secret.
Scripted? No. Set up? Yes.

Lauren said that is one of the reasons she quit. She said that the producers would like invite heidi to places, and she had no idea. They would purposely try to get them in a room together and she was pissed.
