Really looking forward to Stranger Things Season 2. It's going to be a long wait until this airs though.

Only originals I've watched are House of Cards, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

I think my problem is that it seems like Netflix releases like 5 new ones every couple months and I can't keep up with all that. Nor be able to tell which ones are worth the time.

How is House of Cards? That's one I still need to watch. But I feel like it will take forever since there are already @ least 4 seasons.

It's actually really good. I started late too but it kept me hook.

that's one thing I like about Netflix shows is that they are only 10 episodes a season(usually), versus like 22 episodes with most being filler that makes me lose interest.

Here are my Netflix recommendations for anyone that cares haha They are all amazing!!

Dramas

House of Cards (political drama, about a guy who will do just about anything to attain office (even murder))

Bloodline (family drama, about three siblings trying to cover up the murder of their brother, and the events that lead to his death)

Sense8 (sci-fi drama, about 8 strangers that suddenly have the ability to telepathically connect, while the government hunts them down one by one)

Narcos (crime drama, about drug king-pin Pablo Escobar with his rise to fame, and the FBI that try to dismantle his empire (spanish/english))

Stranger Things (80s sci-fi drama, about the strange events surrounding a kid's disappearance, and the discovery of a girl with supernatural powers)

The Crown (period drama, about Queen Elizabeth II, her rise to power and the political struggle she faced against Winston Churchill)

Black Mirror (sci-fi anthology drama, cautionary tales about the ways in which current/future technology can negatively affect us)

Comedies

Master of None (comedy/drama, about Dev Shah, a 30 y/o actor still trying to make it in new york, while juggling his love life and friends)

Love (comedy/drama, about a tv show on-set teacher, who wants to make it big as a screenwriter, while facing a new unexpected territory: Love)

One Day at a Time (sitcom/drama, about a single cuban-american mother trying to raise her two kids while they face everyday challenges)

Santa Clarita Diet (dark comedy, about a suburban couple who try to keep their lives normal, after the wife dies and becomes a flesh-eating zombie)

Crazyhead (comedy/horror, about two girls who form an unlikely bond when they discovery they have the power to see and kill demons)

Marvel

Daredevil (follows the blind Matt Murdock, as he balances his day job (running his own law firm), and his night job (saving NYC from vigalantes))

Jessica Jones (follows the title character, as she returns to her former superhero days, using her detective agency to find the bad guys)

Luke Cage (ex-love interest of JJ, Luke Cage now works at a barber shop, but uses his superhuman strength to fight a new crime boss in town)

Docu-Series

Making a Murderer (follows the case of Steven Avery, a man who served 18-years in jail for a murder he did not commit, only to be arrested and put on trial for another murder nearly two years after his release)

Chef's Table (anthology about different world-renowned chefs and why they are famous for the way they create their food)

Last Chance U (haven't seen this but heard good things, about an american football team at a mississippi community college)

Captive (anthology documentary about different hostage situations around the world)

Original Films

Tullulah (drama, about a girl who kidnaps a baby from an unfit parent and is taken in by her ex-boyfriend's mother, who believes the child is theirs)

Imperial Dreams (about a 21-year-old reformed gangster's devotion to his family and his future being put to the test when he is released from prison)

ok, you guys have convinced me to watch Stranger Things.

Pretty much all of these are on my list if I have not watched them yet. With the exception of Narcos, I want to see all.

the youtube comment section on this new netflix series is so ******* toxic and delusional. The trailer is a bit misleading, but jesus christ all the white folks (most i'm assuming are the conservative trump voters) are going CRAZY over this trailer. People should educate themselves and read what the movie it's based on is about.. or you know, watch it? I for one am excited to see this series.

Dear White People is one of my all time favortie films, and we 100% need a series now more than ever. Its funny, eye opening, powerful, and not TOO serious. White people are always in their feelings. So quick to call something racist, but when an ACTUAL racist event happens, they turn a blind eye.

I like that the movie had all different points of view too. Like the girl that created the radio segment "dear white people" ends up getting shit on and labeled a racist herself.. even though her whole thing is a "i'm above it and i can say anything cause black people can't be racist"-shtick. it shows racist things that white people do and/or turn a blind eye to, how black people can be racist and/or play the race card too much, and then it shows the normal people in the middle that are just like "wtf can't we just all get along?" haha

it definitely opens up a lot of conversation and i didn't really find any of it offensive to one race in particular. it's fairly even across the board and not even that bad. i'm interested to see how it affect's netflix though... the shit storm after this trailer has been crazy

Exactly, sis. I remember once, I brought this dude from Grindr home to **** and somehow we started discussing race. Blonde white guy. I convinced him to watch the movie with me and he had a new POV afterwards. I think what makes that movie so interesting is that it's not "WHITE PEOPLE SUCK!" It uses comedy and shows what its like to be a black college student nowadays without making it harsh. I cant wait for the series.

I think the issue more people are having is the writer (?) tweeting things like **** white people... which started getting repsonses like I ******* hate white people, I wish they would die... White=Racism... and there is enough hate already without vaguely promoting more. If he is a self loathing, closet bigot - that's on him but with out seeing the movie, show or getting into the arguing I found the hate tweeting really sad and pathetic in this day and age.

Mitch the original Shameless...so much better, smarter some is still shocking but less gratuitous and more they walk among us...smdh kind of shocking - I was a junkie with that show when it was on Sundance the ULTIMATE disfunctional family

Thats not at all the issue. The average white person read the title, saw the trailer, and got offeneded without knowing WHY they were offeneded. Like they always do. I'm willing to bet a million dollars the majority of them had no idea about the tweets you mentioned.

wasn't his tweet referring to a stat that the majority of the white race in the US voted for trump, whereas every other race in the US voted for hilary lol... i don't know how serious he was being, but i mean.. i'm white and I wanted to say the same thing when i saw that lol

Exactly. People are reaching; they find any little reason to be offended when they're faced with truth. Regardless, it's gonna be a great series

The Get Down is so underrated

The Get Down is so underrated

Most people loved it, including the critics lol so it's not really underrated per say. it just got overshadowed by Stranger Things last summer. And not a lot of people are fans of musicals
