Scream - The TV Series

I think it's going to be a lot of fun. Campy, funny, and a touch of darkness. There's a lot of potential and I'm excited to see where it goes. At the very least it will be a decent way to kill time during the summer!

That's one opinion on the subject & I get what your saying lol. But Ghostface was definitely a big part of the Scream movies. I am to big of a Scream fan not to give the show a chance though. I am praying it does good enough to get a 5th movie made.

Yeah but do we really need a being story for the costume?? That's what Friday the 13th did with their 2009 movie.

This show will be everything, I can't wait. I also want to see Ghostface because it won't feel like Scream if we don't see someone in that costume.

Agree 100%. Huge fan of the entire series and actually was hoping for a fifth movie (only for them to bring Kirby back, and yes I'm a believer of her surviving her stabbing). But without Ghostface, it will just feel like a slasher series, but I'm ok with that. It's going to be a great show and definitely something different.

Not sure how I feel about them "re-creating" scenarios and things from the original because they did that with Scream 4 in so many ways:

-New Sydney, new Tatum, new Randy, new Billy, etc.

-Garage scene

-Originally planned hanging and student tied to a chair in the opening

to name a few..

But if executed well, I think I'm going to love the series!

Just finished watching Scream 4 which I hadn't seen since it came out back in 2011... actually surprised how well it held up 4 years later. I quite enjoyed it!!! They may have over done it with the funny "meta" stuff, but it was still a great slasher... a great 'modern' slasher I should say, and those are really hard to come by!! Even if the TV is a success or a bomb (I truly think it'll be a success... it has a great writing team, Craven is backing it, and MTV has been producing some quality shows as of late) i'm still hoping for there to be a Scream 5... the 4th ends so abruptly!! I want some full closure for Sidney!! haha

I will be shocked if this show does any good. From what I have heard the die hard fans from the Scream movies are pissed about the fact that there will be no Ghostface. Leave it to mtv to **** this up by making dumb decisions.

Considering the show isn't set in the town of Woodsboro I doubt we would see any of the characters from the movies incorporated into the show. However I did read somewhere if they do another movie they might try to include the characters from the show into the movie somehow. I agree though besides Sidney, Dewey & Gale my favorite characters from the movies were Randy & Kirby because of their love & knowledge of horror movies. Also Tatum was a cool character she was bad *** & didn't take shit off of anyone. She wasn't scared of Ghostface when she should have been, I have always wished her character would have made it to the sequel. Another character I came to really like was Cotton, to bad he didn't do more than a cameo for Scream 3.

I watched Scream 4 earlier. Kirby is still the best, I hope she lived & is in Scream 5!!
